Despite Elon Musk being a Saturday Night Live alum and declaring that “comedy is legal now on Twitter” shortly after his acquisition deal closed, he is not taking kindly to verified accounts including Kathy Griffin’s that changed their profile photos and screen names to “Elon Musk” to troll the billionaire.
Before getting her account suspended, Griffin made the name change and wrote a few pro-Democratic tweets in the days before election day.
“Hey complainers and activists. Want to see real activism?” Griffin as “Musk” tweeted with the hashtag “Vote Blue.”

Griffin also wrote another tweet about abortion rights which read, “After much spirited discussion the [sic] females in my life, I’ve decided that voting blue for their choice is only right..”

Kathy Griffin Suspended from Twitter After Parodying Elon Musk, Uses Dead Mother’s Account to Return
Elon Musk has only owned Twitter for a little over a week, but the billionaire is already making new enemies on the social media site.
On Sunday, comedian Kathy Griffin was banned from Twitter after she changed her display name and profile picture to match Musk’s, and wrote several satirical tweets mocking the Tesla and Space X CEO. The “impersonation” was paper-thin — her handle remained @kathygriffin and could be seen on all her tweets — but the suspension was accompanied by a tweet from Musk stating that “any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended.”
Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended

Kathy Griffin is speaking out after receiving backlash for a controversial photo shoot with photographer Tyler Shields, in which she posed with a bloodied replica of President Donald Trump's head.

DC’s Rebirth is proving to be a phenomenal success. Now, one year into the era, the company is preparing a second wave of comics – ranging from the new Justice League of America to Super Sons. Batwoman, too, is one of the second wave – but DC has been building up to this one for quite some time.
Kathy Kane’s Batwoman was originally created back in the 1950s as a love-interest for Batman, largely to deal with allegations that Batman was homosexual. There’s a real irony in the fact that, when the character was reintroduced into mainstream continuity in 2006, DC chose to make the character a lesbian. The sun shines and the ocean beats steadily against the beach as we hear the voices of two unknown female characters having a conversation. We see a walker on the ground trying to move until one of the unknown characters, a young girl, possibly pre-teen or early-teens, stabs it through the head with her spear. She spots another one and is about to do the same until her accomplice, a woman appearing to be in her mid to late twenties, stops her. She tells her the subject isn't a bobber but a living person and that she wants to help the person. The young girl is angered and disagrees, but leaves the woman to drag the living being off the beach.
The living being this woman is dragging is Tara.
We flashback to inside the truck, where Tara is educating Heath on the rules of scavenging.

He began the ceremony with a pre-taped sketch, which involved him trying to catch a ride to the show with James Corden, the “Modern Family” crew and Jeb Bush, among others. Upon finally making his way to the stage, he handed Jeffrey Tambor an Emmy, saying “that will save 22 minutes” from the night’s show. (Coincidently, Tambor did take home the prize for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series). Kimmel then kicked off his hilarious monologue, which involved poking fun at the cast of “The People v. O.J. Thanks to ABC’s terrifying promos for the midseason premiere of Grey’s Anatomy (Feb. 11 at 8/7c), we’re as braced as we can be for Meredith’s violent attack by a patient in “The Sound of Silence.” But what else do we need to know going into not only the Denzel Washington-directed episode but also the season’s second half? One of the Acn family files the most final of deadlines in this week’s Newsroom. Sadly, it’s not jerky upstart Ray Pruit.
Nope, the series’ penultimate episode is marked by the passing of the bowtie-wearing, heavy drinking, Pruit-placating Charlie Skinner. He dies as he lived — screaming at the top of his lungs in the newsroom — at the exact same time a federal prison gives Will his walking papers.
Meanwhile, Moscow is for lovers, or so Jim and Maggie would have us believe.

For a few months, Batwoman, who had been recently revamped as a lesbian and former Us Army cadet, headlined DC Comics’ flagship book Detective Comics. Kate Kane made her debut as Batwoman in 52 #7 and played a big part in the weekly series helping her ex-girlfriend Renee Montoya and the Question track down the followers of the Crime Bible. Batwoman held her own in this series that was stuffed with many DC Comics characters with some great moments, including surviving a stab wound to the heart, provoking seasoned Gcpd cop Renee Montoya to exclaim, “That’s a Batwoman”, and warding off Nightwing’s romantic advances. (Sorry, Dick, this redhead plays for a different team.) In 2009, Batwoman finally got her own series as the main character of Detective Comics while Bruce Wayne was busy fighting through time in the beautiful,...

For years now, the best part of staying in on New Year’s Eve has been watching the battle of wills between Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper on CNN as he worries that she’ll swear, strip, and/or throw something at the artists performing on ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. And, of course, those are very real concerns because she has done all three (and worse), which we’re reminded of in the video below of the duo, along with Griffin’s beloved box wine-loving mother Maggie, previewing this year’s festivities (Dec. 31, 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.

Batwoman is a character loved by almost every DC geek on the planet. The newest incarnation of Batwoman is known as Kate Cane. She's tough, she's smart, she's witty, and she can throw a right hook that'll knock your socks off. Kane first appeared in 52 #7, during the spring of 2006. Around that time DC also announced her sexual orientation, and for those of you who don't know, Ms. Kane is a lesbian.
Batwoman's creators, Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III, announced that they would end their run on Batwoman once they finish issue #26, and released this joint statement Wednesday, September 4th on their individual blogs:
"Dear Batwoman readers - From the moment DC asked us to write Batwoman — a dream project for both of us — we were committed to the unofficial tagline “No Status Quo.” We felt that the series and characters should always be moving forward, to keep changing and evolving.

Those birthday parties on the set of "The Walking Dead" won't be fooling fanboys anymore. Not after Lauren Cohan spilled the beans about what's really going on during her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
The actress, who plays Maggie on the hit zombie series, said that it all had to do with a bizarre ritual the cast have come up with for any time a character is being killed off on the show. "We get very ceremonial about it, so we have death dinners when somebody’s dying," she explained. "We bring out fake birthday cakes with, like, ‘Happy Birthday, Goodbye, You’re dead!’"
She said the birthday ruse was to throw off savvy fans who might otherwise figure out what the celebration is for, and therefore spoil upcoming deaths on the show. But now that she's spilled the beans, they're going to have to come up with another sneaky...

"Kathy" is going live. Kathy Griffin's Bravo talk show returns with new episodes on January 10 with one big change: The unpredictable host will be coming to you live. To celebrate the new season and format, Griffin has tapped two big names for the premiere: Liza Minnelli and Jane Lynch.
"I'm very excited. I have such a crazy and fantastic time happening," Griffin told The Huffington Post in a phone interview. "Liza, Jane Lynch and ... I guess I can't say who the third person is ... But I do feel like when you have guests that are in a combination that might be a little atypical, combined with me and a very nervous network, something good is going to happen."
In an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post, Griffin revealed the genesis behind the switch to live, her dream guests and what has her most worried now there's no editing room floor.

The gorgeous Maggie Grace has been out and about doing promotional press for her latest movie Taken 2. Here we have an appearance with Maggie that she did with Jimmy Kimmel. Maggie chats about her mom and grandmother’s true life spy stories and which characters she gets recognized as for when she’s in airports. Check out Maggie’s appearance below:
Jimmy Kimmel Live – Jimmy’s interview with Maggie Grace
Maggie is so gorgeous, and she looks absolutely stunning in that emerald green color. I’ve really loved Maggie back since she was Shannon on Lost. I’m really excited to see her have a bit of a bigger role with Breaking Dawn – Part 2 and her trip to snitch on the Cullen family to the Volturi.
What did you think of Maggie’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel?...

Kathy Griffin, a comedienne who never minces words, has become a fixture of the Bravo family thanks to the success of her reality series “My Life on the D-List.” Griffin, however, can’t stay on the D-List forever, and now she’s expanding her creative horizons with the new talk show “Kathy.” The program offers Griffin’s candidly brutal take on celebrities, politicians, co-workers, and her boxed wine swilling mom Maggie. When we spoke to Griffin about the program, she told us the talk show is going to be a true reflection of her own personality, warts and all. I am never home during the day to watch any of the regular rag tag, cookie cutter talk shows like The Chew or Live With Kelly, and I don't mind. I have never been interested in the news or the latest book going around the book club circuit. The topics are always the same, the guests the same, and the segments are always the same. On April 19, the way I viewed talk shows changed when the new show Kathy premiered, and I couldn't be more thankful!
Kathy Griffin has undoubtedly been at the top of my list of people who can make my sides and my cheeks hurt from both smiling and laughing. She is brash and never afraid to tell anyone what is on her mind no matter what, or who the topic centers around. With Kathy, she gets almost carte blanche when it comes to the gift of...

When you think of a weekly Kathy Griffin talk show a few things come to mind: Bawdy humor, shout outs to her gay fans, some wine (and her mother Maggie Griffin drinking it). But one thing you won't see much of on her new show, which premieres tonight on Bravo at 10/9c, is a lot of celebrity guests. "Why would I?" Griffin said on a press call earlier this week to talk about Kathy. "How could I possibly say the things to celebrities that America wants to say? And when I say America, I mean also Canada and maybe a few Secret Service Agents in Cartagena." Of course, that only means that Griffin will do what she does best - talk about celebrities.
Case in point, Griffin said she'd be talking about whatever grabs her attention at the time. "I’m loving everything from the fact that the Wilson Phillips...

Sadly, Bee Gee Robin Gibb has been confirmed to be in a coma in London. It's sad, but also strange, with Glee going disco this week. They had that oddly timed Whitney Houston song as well. Does anyone have the whereabouts of Ryan Murphy?

The Hunger Games seems to be tracking to win the box office again this weekend, taking in an estimated $20 million. I'm hoping this means I can get a ticket by my next day off. The Three Stooges is heading for $17 million, and Joss Whedon's The Cabin In the Woods is drawing $13 million.

Miss me kids? I missed you, though you're always in great hands with Louis, who was kind to fill in for me on top of his other duties. I try not to do it to him often. Of course, I'm doing it again in a couple weeks. Remember when I went last year and spoke to OUTLaw at Washington & Lee Law School last year? They're having a debate between Maggie Gallagher and Andrew Sullivan April 4th at 6Pm and invited me back. Plus it gets me some rare face time with our fearless leader, Dennis.
But on to things that matter, like the fact that Smash has been renewed for a second season. It's uneven, but I really am hopeful for the show. One major change is that creator/showrunner Theresa Rebeck won't be back, but will live on in Debra Messing's character, who was loosely based on her.

It's no secret that AfterElton.com is a huge fan of Kathy Griffin. Well, at least the Kathy Griffin we know from Bravo's Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Turns out there is another Kathy Griffin who lives in Georgia that we might not like so much. Turns out our Kathy and the "real" Kathy recently met on CBS' lame reality show Same Name. Thankfully, we managed to avoid seeing that, although turns out there might have been something interesting about it after all.
We'll let our Kathy explain the whole thing in this interview we did with her at the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour in L.A.

(S06E08) Has it really been another season of 'Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List'? Where has the time gone? This season has had its share of stars, but it was less about the glitz and more about Kathy and her mother. Therefore, it was appropriate that this season finale was all about Maggie Griffin. The set up was a little corny, but the end result delivered emotionally.
So, after all the dick jokes and four-letter words, Maggie had had it with Kathy. That was the set up, complete with Maggie's video on Facebook -- or FacePlace as she calls it -- apologizing to her friends and neighbors for all of Kathy's outrageous antics. The straw that broke the camel's back was Kathy's dropping the f-bomb on TV with Anderson Cooper.

Kathy Griffin is known for her willingness to do absolutely anything to bring attention to herself, but on this season of her Bravo reality show My Life on the D-List, she’s doing her most shocking, outrageous thing yet.
She’s taking the high road.
Let’s face it: reality TV isn’t known for its efforts to lift up the spirits of humanity. In the crowded reality show marketplace, many producers have learned that the way to get attention for yourself is to go straight into the gutter.
But Kathy and the producers of My Life on the D-List have taken their show in a completely different direction. Sure, Kathy sometimes talks trash about various celebrities in her on-stage act.
Yet on last night’s episode, Kathy went to Washington D.C. to lobby for the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” While there, she “spontaneously” called...

I should've known the one episode of My Life on the D-List that Kathy Griffin devoted to her mother would be the season's dud. In fact, how could it have succeeded? Kathy has reduced Maggie Griffin to a single Franzia joke since day one, allowing her the character breadth of a puppet theater headmistress. She's stern, muumuu'd, and wine-woozy. That's it. Adding cameos from Suze Orman and Lauren Conrad wasn't going to change that, Kathleen.
Time to persevere and engage the task at hand: scavenging last night's episode for its most "real" and "fake" moments. Hopefully, we discover some probing emotional truths in this one-joke medley.

HollywoodNews.com: One of the best parts of Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List is whenever her mom, Maggie Griffin, is on the show.
We fell in love with her from the beginning when she and her late husband would drink their wine from a box. Kathy talks about Maggie in her act and it’s always a hoot, especially Maggie’s indignation at whenever Kathy does something she finds embarrassing.
Kathy has teamed with her 90-year-old mom for her new book Tip It! The World According to Maggie. Maggie talked about that and a host of other things with The Advocate’s Jeremy Kinser.
Here are some excerpts:

Even among the “ordinary” people who become unlikely celebrities on myriad reality-based series, Maggie Griffin is a surprise. The sweet 90-year-old mother of outspoken comedian Kathy Griffin has become a scene-stealing favorite of gay fans due to her weekly appearances on her daughter’s hit Bravo series, My Life on the D-list. Frequently the butt of Kathy’s good-natured ribbing about her excessive boxed-wine drinking, Maggie has won over viewers with her gentle observations as well as the bemused indignation she expresses at Kathy’s more outrageous antics — particularly her foul language on live TV while cohosting CNN’s New Year’s coverage next to Anderson Cooper. “He’s a Vanderbilt!” Maggie exclaimed. Griffin has now followed in her daughter’s publishing footsteps. Like Kathy’s 2009 best seller Official Book Club Selection, Maggie’s just-published Tip It! The World According to Maggie (Hyperion, $23.99) is equal parts memoir and advice book.
