“Survivor” host Jeff Probst doesn’t hold back when describing Rob Mariano‘s controversial antics in the second episode of “Winners at War.” “If you ever want to see a mob-type mafia boss move, [it’s in] tribal council episode two,” Jeff explains in the video above about how the show’s so-called Godfather told everybody to “empty their bags.” Boston Rob’s decision to try to flush out a hidden immunity idol has been met with controversy by viewers — was it a genius move or did it go too far? Give us your take down in the comments section.

Legendary two-time “Survivor” winner Sandra Diaz-Twine has a unique strategy in “Winners at War,” and it’s sure to ruffle a few feathers. In CBS’s new video featurette (watch above), Sandra proudly proclaims, “In the majority of the seasons the women always go first. I’m gonna help that happen. I’m gonna vote out every single female here because there can only be one Queen.” Love her or hate her, there’s no denying Sandra’s “Survivor” strategy is ruthlessly original.

Danni Boatwright just learned the hard way it’s never a good idea to go against Parvati Shallow. “I’ve never been voted out,” declared the winner of “Survivor: Guatemala” after coming up on the wrong side of the vote during Wednesday’s second episode of “Survivor: Winners at War.” “To have my torch snuffed is not a feeling that I wanted to experience,” Danni said before adding, “I still have life in this game and I’m holding onto that.”

After last week’s epic Season 40 premiere of “Survivor: Winners at War,” the Sele and Dakal tribes were even at nine members apiece. While it was sad to see Natalie Anderson and Amber Mariano voted out so soon, their journeys weren’t over just yet as they’re now living on the Edge of Extinction with the hopes of one day returning to the game. During Wednesday’s second episode all eyes were on Rob Mariano as he found out his wife had been voted out. Did he blame one-time ally Sandra Diaz-Twine for Amber’s early ouster?

We've reached the end of our "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" exit interviews. Natalie Anderson began this "Survivor" season in a defensively position. Not only did she enter the game with a certain reputation from her two seasons on "The Amazing Race" -- "I know we have a lot of Twinny haters. There's no middle. It's either you love us or you hate us," she says -- but sister Nadiya was voted out first by her tribe. That left Natalie with notoriety and without a loved one in the Blood versus Water season. What followed was a "Survivor" run that stood out both for Natalie's sturdy combination game -- She made big strategic moves, performed well in challenges and also found and used an Immunity Idol effectively -- but also for her major image overhaul. Coming into the season facing derision from some CBS reality fans, Natalie ended the season a very popular winner,...

Last fall's edition of Survivor teamed former competitors with friends/family members. The ratings declined. Now, CBS is trying pairs of contestants again. Will the ratings fall lower or rise? Either way, the show's already been renewed through cycle 30 for this spring.
Jeff Probst returns as host of the San Juan del Sur edition. Two teams of nine compete and are made up of Nadiya Anderson, Natalie Anderson, Josh Canfield, Alec Christy, Drew Christy, Jeremy Collins, Val Collins, Reed Kelly, Julie McGee, Jon Misch, Keith Nale, Wes Nale, Missy Payne, John Rocker, Jaclyn Schultz, Dale Wentworth, Kelley Wentworth, and Baylor Wilson.
The higher a show's ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better its chances for survival. New ratings data will be added as it becomes available -- typically around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

Last night, three women made it to the final three on Survivor for the first time in five seasons—and Natalie Anderson, who was clearly the best player, won. (Read Dalton Ross's recap here.) You'd think that might be a victory for Survivor fans who like to see smart, tough women triumph. Right? But toward the end of the season finale, something happened that so enraged me, I wanted to snuff out my own torch and use it to stab my TV. Finalist Missy Payne was attacked, very personally and nastily, for acting in a way that's supposedly unbecoming for a mother.

Did Jeremy Collins just have the worst downfall in "Survivor" history? Let us count the ways: 1.) First, Jeremy won the reward challenge but he and Natalie Anderson agreed to give up their prize -- food on a yacht -- to Jon Misch and Jaclyn Schultz to thank them for joining their alliance. 2.) Then, Jeremy voluntarily agreed to go to Exile Island for the purpose of finding the hidden Immunity idol, but it had already been found by Jon in the previous episode. 3.) Finally, Jeremy got eliminated by his alliance at Tribal Council in one of the most jawdropping blindsides in "Survivor" history. Gold Derby readers were notably shocked with this outcome, as the Massachusetts firefighter only had 9/1 odds of going home according to our exclusive "Survivor" racetrack odds. All of our users who correctly predicted Jeremy's elimination earned game points based on the odds they locked in throughout the...

Are we overestimating Baylor Wilson's gameplay on "Survivor"? With Josh Canfield gone, who can win this season? Those are just some of the topics Gold Derby Senior Editor Matt Noble and I discuss during our new "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" predictions slugfest, which you can watch below. Matt and I make our predictions for who we think can win, giving reasons for why Baylor, Jeremy Collins and Natalie Anderson are our current favorites. Also discussed: Are Jon Misch and Jaclyn Schultz frontrunners or followers? Will Wes Nale and Keith Nale be split up next week? And how does this season stack up against its predecessors? -Break- Psst: Here's how to predict reality TV shows and win bragging rights And prizes! According to our exclusive Gold Derby odds, Keith will be the next castaway to get his torch snuffed. Disagree with those odds? Then click here or scroll down...

"Survivor" castaways Jeremy Collins, Josh Canfield and Baylor Wilson are undeniably this season's three breakout stars, which made Wednesday night's episode so exciting as all three were in danger of going home. So, which fan-favorite got their torch snuffed in "Wrinkle in the Plan"? After agonizing over their decision, Jon Misch and Jaclyn Schultz finally decided to side with the alliance of Jeremy, Baylor, Missy Payne and Natalie Anderson to vote out Josh. Gold Derby readers were notably shocked with this decision, as the Broadway star only had 17/2 odds of going home according to our exclusive "Survivor" racetrack odds. All of our users who correctly predicted Josh's elimination earned game points based on the odds they locked in throughout the week. -Break- Psst: Here's how to predict reality TV shows and win bragging rights And prizes! With the merge on the horizon, are "Survivor" lovebirds Josh Canfield and Reed Kelly in trouble? Could Alec Christy's game end? And just how great is Jeff Probst at hosting this show? "Drop your buffs," exclaims Jeff Probst in CBS's new preview for Episode 5 of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur," titled "Blood is Blood." The tribe switch we wondered about last week is finally here, but presumably not everyone in the game will benefit from this shake-up. Also in the trailer (which you can watch below), Jon Misch appears to go crazy after the switch, threatening, "If you're not with me, you don't know what's going on." Meanwhile, Dale Wentworth gets in a fight over his bowl of rice and Natalie Anderson worries that the singles will all be voted out. Let the games begin. Psst: Here's how to predict reality TV shows and win bragging rights And prizes! -Break- Sure, Jon may not have a lot of friends left in Nicaragua, but how long do you think he'll last in this game? The following exit interview contains more expletives than most of my "Survivor" exit interviews. I sensed how things were going to go from John Rocker's cheerful response to my "How're you doing this morning?" greeting. "Horses***! How you doing?" In retrospect, "Survivor" fans should be less amazed that John Rocker's "San Juan del Sur" run ended this week in the aftermath of a post-Immunity Challenge shouting match with Natalie Anderson and more surprised at how little John Rocker needed to be bleeped during his three episodes. While John Rocker frequently seemed to be a physical asset for his Coyopa tribe, that merely meant that he was a physical asset on a tribe that has started the season losing five-of-six challenges, including all three Immunities. And on Wednesday's episode, led by Josh and Wes, Coyopa decided that removing the John Rocker-sized target from the tribe was better strategy than maintaining strength.

"Why don't you say something homophobic or racist?!" shouts Natalie Anderson to controversial player John Rocker in this week's episode of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur." Based on this week's preview trailer for Episode 3 (which you can watch below), it looks like Rocker's controversial past as a bigoted baseball player will finally catch up to him on the island. And we can't wait to see the fireworks fly. -Break- 'Survivor: San Juan del Sur' recap: Blood, tears and fake Immunity idols in Episode 2 Sure, his fellow castaways in Nicaragua may not like Rocker much, but what about You? Let's examine Rocker's winning and losing odds according to the predictions made by Gold Derby's users in our ongoing "Survivor" prediction contest. Who will win 'Survivor: San Juan del Sur'? Now that the 29th season of "Survivor" has begun, our Editors are just itching (like Josh Canfield's eyes) to tell you what we loved and hated about the super-sized premiere episode of "San Juan del Sur - Blood vs. Water." Joining me in this week's "Survivor" slugfest are Gold Derby Senior Editors Rob Licuria and Matt Noble as we dish the new season's highs and lows. Watch the slugfest below. -Break- 'Survivor: San Juan del Sur' premiere: Is Season 29 a masterpiece or disaster? Among our favorite new contestants are Josh and his actor boyfriend Reed Kelly, Baylor Wilson and her thrice-divorced mother Missy Payne and the Sri Lankan "twinnies" Nadiya Anderson and Natalie Anderson. And while we're on the subject of Josh and Baylor, what exactly caused him to vote for Baylor anyway? We're bummed that the entertaining Nadiya got sent packing so soon, especially with the de...'...

Season 29 of Survivor kicked off this evening, and due to the last minute cancellation of the Redemption Island twist, we already have our first eliminated contestant. Who was it? And what else transpired in the 90-minute supersized premiere? My full recap will be up later [Update: Dalton's recap is now live], but to find out and sound off on what happened, read on for more. [Spoiler Alert: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s season premiere of Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water.]

Something weird happened last year on Survivor. A contestant from another CBS reality show appeared on the program. Previously, CBS had imported stars from Survivor and Big Brother onto The Amazing Race. And it also cast Willie Hantz — brother of Survivor’s Russell and uncle of Survivor’s Brandon — on Big Brother. But Survivor — which is still considered the granddaddy and gold star of reality television, even if it doesn’t have the Emmy awards (or nominations, for that matter) to prove it — had never accepted sloppy seconds from another CBS show.

Another day, another CBS reality show cast announcement, as "The Amazing Race" has revealed the 11 teams competing in the upcoming season. Thursday's (August 28) cast announcement was rather different from CBS' Wednesday unveiling of the latest "Survivor" cast, which includes controversy-inflaming former Major Leaguer John Rocker and former "Amazing Race" veterans Nadiya and Natalie Anderson. CBS actually announced the 11 "Amazing Race" teams back at the end of May, when a very public starting line in the heart of Times Square required some measure of early transparency lest social media spoil all the secrets ahead of time. So we already know that "Soul Surfer" hero Bethany Hamilton and husband Adam Dirks are in the cast, as are Robbie E. Strauss and Brooke Adams, who I'm told I'd know if I paid more attention to wrestling. The cast also includes Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson, who I only vaguely remember from their runs on "Survivor: South Pacific.

What happens when you put a controversial baseball player, a Broadway star and a pair of outspoken twins on an island? You get the cast of Survivor: San Juan Del Sur.
The reality show returns for its 29th (!) season next month. After the success of 2013's Blood Vs. Water, the show decided to return to the format, pitting contestants against loved ones to vie for the million-dollar prize. This season, the castaways will compete in San Juan Del Sur, a region on the southwest coast of Nicaragua.
For the first time in the show's history, there will be an uneven number of men vs.

Entertainment Weekly has your first look at six of the contestants that will be competing on the next season of Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water. Like the previous Blood vs. Water season, San Juan del Sur will bring in pairs instead of single players to compete for the million dollars. The one difference is that this season will feature no returning players. However, there are a few doozies among the cast of newbies.

Whether you love them or wish they'd stop talking about Dave's age, his Achilles and the evils of Brendon & Rachel, you can't deny that Dave & Connor were deserving winners for this "Amazing Race: All-Stars" season. After having to self-eliminate from their first season after Dave's injury, the father-son team won a whopping six Legs -- they'll be taking tropical vacations together for years to come -- and never really faced any serious jeopardy. Did they do anything impressive in that Final Leg to win? Not really. But they got to Phil Keoghan first and that's all that matters. In the process, they became the first parent-child team to win "The Amazing Race" and Dave, as he mentioned so frequently, became the oldest individual winner. In their exit interview, which finally concludes my spring reality exit interviews, Dave & Connor discuss their comfortable "Amazing Race" triumph, Dave talks about his age and...

Where have all the Cowboys gone? Well, on last week's "Amazing Race: All-Stars," they were U-Turned by Afghanimals Leo & Jamal, forcing them to perform a second Detour in Seville and effectively eliminating Jet & Cord for the third time on the CBS reality favorite. With their high spirits, stubborn independence and frequently faulty sense of direction, Cowboys Jet & Cord have long been favorites for "Amazing Race" fans and this latest season was no different. As the other teams bonded and bickered, the Cowboys continued to be Lone Rangers and, as usual, that worked out pretty well for them. Jet & Cord won the season's first Leg (and promptly handed over their second Express Pass to Jen & Caroline who, miraculously, remain in the Race) and added one first and four second place finishes. That put a big target on them, which is why Leo & Jamal U-Turned them, rather than sticking with their...
