Dool fans are bracing themselves for the emotional funeral of Doug Williams after Bill Hayes’ passing. But will the show bring back Doug’s daughter Hope and her beloved Bo for the tribute?
Dool To Mourn Doug Williams, Celebrate Bill Hayes
Daytime television lost one of the greats in early 2024 when actor Bill Hayes passed away at the age of 98. He played Doug Williams on Days Of Our Lives for over 50 years. His real-life wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes, played Julie Williams, Doug’s wife.
The characters became the show’s matriarch and patriarch after the passing of Alice and Tom Horton (Frances Reid and Macdonald Carey.)
Days of Our Lives plans to kill off Doug Williams to pay tribute to both Bill Hayes and the character at the same time. The soap films months in advance, which means the funeral won’t air until December.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Filming Underway
Since Bill Hayes passed away a couple of months ago, filming is now underway for a series of episodes dedicated to him and Doug Williams, which will air in December.

Although some Days vets have confirmed and are already filming, others have expressed interest but nothing has been released save for a couple of actors.

The days of Paulina Price’s life might be numbered on Days of Our Lives, but star Jackée Harry knows her character has reason to fight. In the Peacock soap’s episode on Friday, March 8, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) tells Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) that their mother is running out of time as she waits for a heart transplant. Later, Paulina tells Abe she can feel herself slipping away, thanks him for the best years of her life, and asks him to watch over her girls. After Paulina falls asleep, Abe — who is suffering from amnesia — tells his ailing wife that he wishes he could remember all the times they had together but adds that he’s excited by the prospect of falling in love with her all over again. Then, Paulina’s hospital room is awash in a white glow as someone materializes in front of her and Abe,...

Some people have all the luck. Abe Carver is not one of them.
He still hasn't regained his memories after being hit in the head and kidnapped by a delusional-with-grief nurse. He has been rebuilding his relationship with Paulina, only for her to become seriously ill.
According to spoilers for Days of Our Lives during the week of 3-04-24, Paulina's health takes such a bad turn that she and the family prepare for her death. But will she get a last-minute miracle?
Since there's been no news about Jackee Harry leaving Days of Our Lives, Paulina will likely survive -- but in the meantime, this will be a painful time for her and her family.
According to spoilers, Paulina will turn to Marlena, telling her tearfully she doesn't want to die, while her family sits vigil at her bedside, praying she makes it.

Fans of Eli and Lani (ELani) are in for a treat when portrayers Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers reprise the roles starting with the Thursday, February 29 episode of “Days of our Lives.”
Initially thought to be a one-off return, Soap Opera Network has learned that Archey and Stowers will appear in several episodes of the series, including most of next week and another episode set to air a few weeks down the line. While this is far from a permanent return for the two actors, it’s worth it for the die-hard fans of the Peacock exclusive series.
In story, Eli and Lani are back in Salem to support Paulina (Jackée Harry), Lani’s mother, who is going through a health crisis.
On the Monday, March 4 episode, a distraught Paulina tells Marlena (Deidre Hall) she doesn’t want to die. Meanwhile, her husband, Abe (James Reynolds), and her daughter rally behind her,...

Days Of Our Lives producer Corday Productions is venturing into the feature space for the first time.
Peacock has greenlighted Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas, Corday’s first-ever movie, with Days of our Lives alum Chandler Massey, and Days’ star Eileen Davidson among the cast for the holiday film on Peacock. Davidson announced the movie Monday night at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip event in Malibu. It’s set to premiere December 16 on Peacock.
It stars Massey, who reprises his Daytime Emmy-winning role as Will Horton, as he writes a screenplay before his Christmas Eve deadline. Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem — but with several twists and turns you’ll never see coming.
Additional cast and Davidson’s role were not revealed.

Jackée Harry has not only rejoined the world of daytime TV as Paulina Price on Days of our Lives, but she’s also taking part in the Days spinoff Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem, streaming on Peacock. The show’s writers have given Jackée’s real estate mogul character a lot of backstory — she’s not only trying to get back the orange diamond (one of the Alamainian Peacock jewels) but she’s hoping to keep secret that her “niece” Lani (Sal Stowers) is actually her daughter. TV Insider chatted with Harry about how soaps have changed since she made her daytime debut as Lily Mason on Another World in 1983, who took her under her wing in Bay City, working on Beyond Salem, and how long she’s sticking around in Salem. Beloved daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” is expanding its world once again with an upcoming limited series entitled “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.”
Five episodes of this new series has been ordered by streamer Peacock, and they will feature the return of Lisa Rinna in the role of Billie Reed.
The episodes will take place over a long weekend during which a number of key characters leave their Salem hometown for adventures: John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) travel to Zurich, while Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) take a romantic trip to New Orleans, Chad (Billy Flynn) visits Phoenix, and Abe (James Reynolds), Paulina (Jackée Harry), Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) vacation in Miami.
However, these other parts of the world don’t prove to be any more relaxing than Salem itself, as all of these players become embroiled in a mystery that involves stolen jewels.

Of course, Sami is the Salem Pd's top suspect in Charlie's murder.
She was in his apartment for no reason -- washing her hands, no less -- and in flashback, we learned she stood over his body with a gun and said he deserved to die.
But usually, the first suspect on soaps is the wrong person. And judging from the spoiler video for Days of Our Lives during the week of 3-01-21, that might be the case this time too.
In one clip, Rafe challenges Belle's claim that Sami is innocent by asking why Sami's fingerprints are on the gun.
There are two possible explanations for that, though.
Sami picked up the gun after someone else used it. The gun found by Charlie's body is not the murder weapon.
The first possibility seems more likely, though this is Days of Our Lives, so anything is possible.

The best weddings always end way too quickly.
This was especially true for Lani and Eli's wedding on Days of Our Lives during the week of 6-29-20.
All of the uninvited guests and assorted nonsense dominated nearly two days of airtime, only for the actual ceremony -- which was beautiful -- to be over in five minutes.
Days of Our Lives weddings are always dramatic, but this one set the standards for years to come.
We didn't need quite so many interruptions.
Tamara fainting seemed pointless, although it did give her the opportunity to come back at the right moment to convince Lani to go on with the nuptials.
Gabi's 9000th speech viliffying Lani was also unnecessary.
Vivian's entrance dwarfed Gabi's pathetic attempts at causing trouble, and it might have been more dramatic had Vivian cut into the couple's relief that Gabi didn't try to interfere after all.

Brandon Barash was killed off of “Days of Our Lives” last October when his character, Stefan Dimera, was shot to death, prompting his wife Gabi (Camila Banus) to donate his heart to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), but despite literally being a heartless man, Stefan will return to Salem on April 23, and Barash sang a song to announce his resurrection. See his Instagram post below.

Barash took that seemingly lethal bullet to protect his mother Vivian Alamain (then played by Robin Strasser). Vivian had shot Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and was cornered by Detective Lani Price (Sal Stowers), but when Lani tried to shoot Vivian, Stefan got in the way.
