Coming as it did in the middle of the night, many people first learned – and found comfort – over the passing of the rock icon while surfing on Twitter. For many in Hollywood, the news broke into the Golden Globes post-game Tweets, while across the planet others opened their social accounts to find that a beloved hero was gone. For those watching on Twitter, the night afforded the spectacle of waves of people learning the news and joining in the grief in real time. Here's how some in Hollywood responded, beginning with Rickey Gervais, just over an hour after stepping off-stage as host of the Golden Globes: I just lost a hero. Rip David Bowie. — Ricky Gervais (@rickygervais) January 11, 2016 What? No just no. — Blake Anderson (@UncleBlazer) January 11, 2016 This Bowie shit for real...? — Anders Holm (@ders808) January 11, 2016 Oh God, rest in peace the genius that was David Bowie. — bob saget (@bobsaget) January...

To promote Batman: Arkham Knight, SNL's Taran Killam rounded up a bunch of celebs and made them play the game. Neil Patrick Harris, Wiz Khalifa, Blake Anderson, Minka Kelly, Kumail Nanjiani, Breckin Meyer, Joe Manganiello, iJustine, Troy Baker, and Kevin Conroy are all on deck — some better gamers than others. The best is hands down Wiz, who has major skills as well as his own sound effects (actually, I guess it's unclear if he's doing sound effects or trying to get Fetty Wap's attention). He just makes virtual crime-fighting look so effortless and graceful. More important, though, the game (out June 23) looks divine.

"Parks and Recreation" just concluded its sixth season in memorable fashion (here's my review), with the Pawnee/Eagleton unity concert, a trip to San Francisco, big cameos and then a very crazy idea at the very end of the finale which could give us a very different show in season 7. As usual when "Parks" wraps up a season, I emailed co-creator Mike Schur some questions about what went down, and why. It goes without saying that big big spoilers are coming, immediately. When, how and why did you come up with the idea for this three-year time jump? Mike Schur: We were breaking the final batch of episodes and had begun discussing the finale story. Some of it was sort of pre-destined, because we had the Unity Concert, which was going to put the merger storyline to rest, by showing that the town en masse would speak louder than the naysayers.

Major Lazer, the fictional, hitherto animated character that's the super ripped, super lethal mascot or spirit hero of the dance trio, is now a real person. Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire snagged some real-life actors for their latest music video, which sees Terry Crews bringing their would-be hero to life alongside Lauren London, Nick Kroll and Blake Anderson. Watch, dance, enjoy.

In following up Rio — and, more importantly, moving a little bit away from the never-ceasing Ice Age franchise — Blue Sky Studios have started to lock talent for an animated adventure with the (seemingly, hopefully) appropriate title of Epic. We had first heard of this film about ten months ago, when it was known as Leafmen — one I prefer, but who cares — though, now, the title has been changed, the cast has been signed, and the plot has been filled out.
The voice talent and character lineup will consist of, in no particular order, Colin Farrell (Ronin), Josh Hutcherson (Nod), Beyonce Knowles (Queen Tara), Amanda Seyfried (Mary Katherine), Aziz Ansari (Mub), Jason Sudeikis (Bomba), Johnny Knoxville (Mandrake), Pitbull (Bufo), Steven Tyler (Nim Galuu), Judah Friedlander, and Blake Anderson. Save for people who contributed songs to Men in Black III, that’s a fairly decent collection at play.
