The drama on Love Island USA Season 6 has been sizzling that the Hideaway has not been featured in the Peacock dating competition.
ITV Entertainment executive producer Simon Thomas revealed in a recent interview the real reason the Islanders have not visited the Hideaway this season.
“We do indeed have a Hideaway in the main villa this season; there just hasn’t been the right opportunity to use it,” Thomas told People.
He continued, “We usually save the Hideaway for when couples are really clicking, but since it’s been such a rollercoaster for the Islanders so far, with a lot of couple-swapping and all the drama that comes with that, the timing has never felt right.”
The Hideaway is a remote area, set apart from the main villa, where coupled Islanders go for some privacy and enjoy each other’s company. For The Bachelor viewers, think of it as the...

With 22 international iterations of “Love Island” taking the lead from the franchise’s U.K. flagship series, “Love Island USA” producer ITV Entertainment aimed to harness the property’s crossover potential among American audiences in its newest spin-off, “Love Island Games.”
“We knew we had a disparate audience in America,” ITV Entertainment president and “Love Island Games” EP Simon Thomas told TheWrap, pointing to the movement of “Love Island USA” from CBS to Peacock. “There didn’t seem to be a huge amount of crossover, in that there’s a lot of American fans who just discovered the American show and didn’t know or care about the U.K. show — and then there’s hardcore American fans of the U.K. show and the Australian show.”

Love Island, the smash hit global format that airs on Peacock in the U.S., is getting its first ever spinoff.
Love Island Games, a spinoff of the dating reality series, has scored a date on the NBCU streamer. Set to launch in the fall of 2023, the series will bring together Islanders from the U.S., UK and Australia for a second shot of love.
In this cheeky new iteration, romance will meet reality as Islanders are faced with both team and couples’ challenges, all while navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling and dramatic new arrivals.
Love Island Games will partner up on the heels of the fifth season of Love Island USA, which will air later this year. It comes after Peacock swooped in for the rights to the format, which aired its first three seasons on CBS.

Amazon Studios has ordered “Twin Love,” a new reality dating competition show from ITV Entertainment, to series. Premiering this summer on Prime Video and the free, ad-supported Freevee, the show will be hosted by WWE Hall of Famers and TV personalities Brie and Nikki Bella.
Billed as a “social dating experiment,” “Twin Love” explores the love lives of identical twins. Ten sets of twins will be split up and placed into two houses of “identical” casts, where they’ll begin a unique and compelling search for love. In the premiere episode, “The Case of The Fishy Sauce,” co-hosts Chef Ludo Lefebvre and comedian Natasha Leggero welcome six new chefs to compete for a shot at $50,0000 in this culinary whodunnit.

In a year where the Kristen Stewart-led Spencer earned its share of awards buzz comes word that another project about the late Princess Diana is the leading candidate for the anti-Oscars. As is tradition, the Golden Raspberry Awards announced their contenders on the eve of the Oscar nominations. The Razzies, now in their 42nd year, are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the worst films of the year. Scroll down for the full list of nominees in all 10 Razzie Awards categories ranging from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel. Unique to this year is a category dedicated to Bruce Willis and his eight performances in pictures last year.
Leading the 2022 Razzie Awards nominations roster is the Netflix version of the Broadway flop “Diana: The Musical” with nine bids. Tied with five apiece are “Karen” and “The Woman in the Window.” Each of these ill-conceived movies counts a Worst Picture nomination among its haul. Joining them in that race are the sequel “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and the sci-fi flick “Infinite.”
As usual, “winners” will be decided by Razzie members.

The Razzie Awards nominations recognizing the worst “crap streaming, beaming and steaming from our various screens and devices” of 2021 — as the group put it — have been announced, with LeBron James, “Diana: The Musical,” Amy Adams and Bruce Willis topping the heap.

With Oscar nominations coming out on Tuesday morning, the Academy Award’s snarky counterpart, the Golden Raspberry Awards (aka the Razzies) followed suit as they do every year at this time acknowledging the superior work – or, actually, the inferior work – coming out of the entertainment industry.

A handful of crew of TBS’ upcoming cooking competition series Rat In The Kitchen have gone on strike over healthcare benefits.
The series, which is produced by ITV America’s Thinkfactory Media, has been shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, but certain members of the IATSE crew downed tools this week.
They say that they are not being provided healthcare benefits. Crew stood down on Thursday saying that producers have been “unresponsive” for requests for recognition. It’s thought that the crew is a mix of ITV America staff and folk from the Warner-owned studio complex.
We understand that around 10% of staff are striking but production is continuing.
The series, which is based on a buzzy British format, is fronted by Natasha Leggero. The ten-part series, which also features celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre as a judge, follows a group of cooks competing to win a cash prize across a series of challenges.

Tim Allen and Richard Karn are reuniting again 30 years after their “Home Improvement” days for the History Channel’s forthcoming unscripted competition series “Assembly Required,” but don’t expect sitcom shenanigans while watching. Instead, the duo will lean into their real-life friendship and tried-and-true on-screen chemistry for a “kind of a live version of ‘Tool Time,'” Allen explained, while spotlighting the best and brightest makers from across the country with a can-do attitude and a competitive streak.
During the network’s Television Critics Association winter press tour panel Thursday, star Allen and host Karn gave the rundown on the new hourly 10-episode reality show, joined by the series’ own resident expert April Wilkerson (known best for her DIY woodworking and metalworking videos on YouTube), and Brent Montgomery, executive producer.
“Assembly Required” pits three builders head-to-head as they hammer, chop, arrange and assemble mind-blowing creations out of everyday household items in desperate need of fixing.

What time is it? Well, it’s almost time for “Home Improvement” stars Tim Allen and Richard Karn to reunite for new History channel competition “Assembly Required,” a project that’s a perfect fit for two guys who hosted the fictional handyman show “Tool Time” for eight years.
But Allen says he “never even thought about” having Karn host this series, which he called “kind of a live version of ‘Tool Time.'”
“My only hesitation was I didn’t want to embarrass myself,” Allen told reporters during a virtual panel for “Assembly Required” at the Television Critics Association winter press tour Thursday, ahead of the show’s Tuesday, Feb. 23 premiere at 10/9c on the History channel.
“We’re very similar to the characters we play in that show,” Allen said.

CBS is returning to “Love Island” for a third season, this time in Hawaii. Casting is underway for a new edition, CBS Entertainment senior executive vice president of programming Thom Sherman confirmed on Wednesday.
Sherman made the announcement during the Eye network’s virtual Television Critics Association press tour.
“Love Island” has been a slow burn for CBS, debuting to tepid ratings in 2019 — but Eye execs saw potential in the series, which has been a wildly popular phenomenon in the U.K., were the format was born. The show was renewed for a second season, but had to adjust to a Las Vegas locale in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Love Island” has indeed continued to see a ratings uptick for CBS, and by the end of Season 2 was attracting an audience of 2 million viewers.
