The Celtics enter the series as clear favorites after a dominant performance in the first round over Miami. However, they face a tougher test against the Cavaliers.
Despite their regular-season success against the Cavs (2-1), the Celtics must now navigate the absence of Kristaps Porzingis. For the Cavaliers, the spotlight falls on Donovan Mitchell, whose success hinges on support from his teammates — particularly Darius Garland.
Defensively, both teams face critical matchups and adjustments. The Celtics must contain Mitchell, while the Cavaliers’ defense contends with the absence of Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade.
For Boston, efficient scoring near the basket becomes paramount, especially in the absence of their leading post-up threat. Cleveland must address depth issues, particularly in bench minutes, to counter the Celtics’ formidable reserves.

“The Day Sports Stood Still,” a documentary about the unprecedented sports shutdown of March 2020, will debut on March 24 on HBO Sports.
The film centers on NBA All-Star and NBA Players Association president Chris Paul, who is also an executive producer. At the time, Paul played point guard for Oklahoma City Thunder and was up against the Utah Jazz on March 11, 2020, when the game suddenly stopped. He’ll relive his journey over the last year, reflecting on living in quarantine, his crucial role in helping the NBA reopen and what it was like playing in “the bubble.”
It is directed and produced by Antoine Fuqua and executive produced by Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein and Marc Gilbar. Brian Grazer and Justin Wilkes also serve as producers.
The NBA bubble infamously had no Covid-19 cases over a three-month period, culminating in a championship season for the Lakers. Not all organizations were quite so successful.

Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams is urging Kylie Jenner to use her clout to help emphasize the seriousness of coronavirus to young people.
“We need to get our social media influencers out there in helping folks understand that this is serious. This is absolutely serious. People are dying,” Adams said Thursday on “Good Morning America.”
Adams told “Gma” host Michael Strahan that influencers can help social media savvy generations to understand the heightened risk for young people. Strahan noted that some are still out enjoying spring break, rather than isolating themselves in their home.
“I have a 15 and a 14-year-old, and the more I tell them not to do something, the more they want to do it,” Adams said. “What I really think we need to do…is get our influencers out. We need to get Kylie Jenner.”

Can/will ESPN explore its option to move up the release date of “The Last Dance,” its upcoming 10-part docuseries about the Chicago Bulls?
As sports media figures out its next move in a world where all sports have been paused by the coronavirus pandemic, one option for ESPN is to hurry its release of the series that explores NBA superstar Michael Jordan’s final season with the Bulls in their 1998 championship-winning season.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver appeared on TNT Thursday evening, the day after game play was suspended indefinitely because of the coronavirus outbreak, revealing that the league’s hiatus would last for “at least 30 days.”
“We don’t know enough to be more specific than that,” he told “NBA on TNT’s” Ernie Banks.
Silver acknowledged that the league was mulling a number of different options, including resuming games “with or without fans,” but ultimately said it was too early to tell. He also noted that the NBA’s 2019-2020 season could be canceled altogether. “Of course it’s possible, I just don’t know more at this point,” he said, before some cautious optimism. “I’ve talked to a lot of experts, some have a theory that, just with the common flu as the weather changes, we may to see it peter out a little bit – we just don’t know.

Movies New to Netflix in February: ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ & ‘High Flying Bird’ Premiere, Plus Every ‘Jaws’
Netflix is having a very good start to 2019. In addition to landing its first Best Picture nomination for Alfonso Cuarón’s “Roma,” (the film tied with “The Favourite” for most nominations — 10), the streaming service took another step towards industry legitimacy by officially joining the MPAA this week. The site’s original film slate continues to broaden and diversify, and the streamer seems to pull an infinite number of rabbits out of its expertly-branded red hat.
As the Sundance Film Festival kicks off this week, the Jake Gyllenhaal vehicle “Velvet Buzzsaw” will play in the Premieres section. But Netflix viewers won’t be missing out for too long; the art heist genre thriller debuts on Netflix on the first day of February. That might make a nice double feature with the Kristen Stewart-starring “Personal Shopper,” or Matt Tyrnauer’s impeccably made disco doc “Studio 54.”

“You think these fools, these rich white dudes, gonna let the sexiest sport fall by the wayside?” That’s a question posed by sports agent Ray Burke to his client as he tries to get a pro basketball strike settled in the trailer for High Flying Bird, Steven Soderbergh’s new Netflix movie. “Football is fun,” he adds, “but it don’t move sneakers. To move merch and inspire rap lyrics, they need your services.”
As the labor action continues, arenas are empty and millions of dollars are squandered, Burke (Moonlight‘s André Holland) finds himself caught in the faceoff between the league and the players. His career is on the line, but Ray is playing for higher stakes. With only 72 hours to pull off a daring plan, he outmaneuvers all the power players as he uncovers a loophole that could change the game forever. The outcome raises questions of...

Remember that time that director Steven Soderbergh retired from filmmaking? Yeah, that didn’t last long and he’s been working a lot ever since!
His next film is a basketball drama produced by Netflix called High Flying Bird and today we have the first trailer for the movie to watch. The story follows a sports agent named Ray Burke (André Holland) who sets out on journey to break the system of how professional basketball is run. He’s looking to take down the NBA and put control of the game back in the hands of the players.
This actually looks like a great and intriguing film and I’m in! I love a good sports drama and this one looks unlike any sports drama I’ve seen before.
The cast of the film also includes Zazie Beetz, Melvin Gregg, Sonja Sohn, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan and Bill Duke. It...

"This is the match that everyone's been dying to see." Netflix has released the first official trailer for an indie drama titled High Flying Bird, the latest film by filmmaker Steven Soderbergh following his iPhone film Unsane. This is about a sports agent, played by André Holland, who pitches a young, rookie client on an intriguing & controversial business opportunity during a pro basketball lockout. "The outcome raises questions of who owns the game – and who ought to." High Flying Bird features an acclaimed cast that includes Zazie Beetz, Melvin Gregg, Sonja Sohn, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan, and Bill Duke, plus appearances from NBA athletes Reggie Jackson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Donovan Mitchell. This looks damn good! I'm really digging Soderbergh's new super-indie style, there's something fresh and exciting about his films these days. And it looks like a subversive, clever story that flips the tables. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Steven Soderbergh's High Flying Bird,...

Steven Soderbergh’s latest film looks like it has the attitude of Dwayne Johnson’s HBO show “Ballers” and the polish of the Brad Pitt film “Moneyball.”
In “High Flying Bird,” Soderbergh directs André Holland and a stellar cast in a drama about a sports agent during a pro basketball lockout. Tarell Alvin McCraney, who won an Oscar for his work on “Moonlight,” wrote the screenplay for the film that also stars Zazie Beetz, Melvin Gregg, Sonja Sohn, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan and Bill Duke. And from the way Holland talks, you can sense the style and creativity that Soderbergh was drawn to with this story.
“You think these fools, these rich white dudes gonna let the sexiest sport fall by the wayside,” Holland’s agent character says to one of his star clients. “Football is fun, but it don’t sell sneakers. To move merch and to inspire rap lyrics,...

“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the first lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today,” the first lady’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said in a statement. “As you know, Mrs. Trump has traveled the country and world talking to children about their well-being, healthy living, and the importance of responsible online behavior with her Be Best initiative. Her platform centers around visiting organizations, hospitals and schools, and she would be open to visiting the I Promise School in Akron.

In a year that saw the conviction of disgraced former Team USA doctor and Michigan State University physician Larry Nassar, the 2018 Espy awards took it upon itself to shine a light on the unity of the sexual assault survivors and celebrated the feats performed by female athletes over the past year. The show was hosted by former race driver Danica Patrick, the first woman to host the ESPYs since their inception in 1993.
In a somber, spine-tingling moment that brought several in attendance at the Microsoft Theater to tears, around 100 women took the center stage while singer Milck, an abuse survivor herself, sang her anthemic single, “Quiet.” Each woman in the group that filled the stage was representative of the “sister survivors” who spoke out against Nassar.
“Telling our stories of abuse over and over again in detail is not easy,” said Sarah Klein, a former gymnast and victim of Nassar’s abuse.
