Wednesday’s season premiere of “Survivor: Island of the Idols” was one of the show’s strongest, certainly of the last 10 seasons, but quite possibly among the best in its 19-year history. We are so high on the premiere that it’s giving us hope that producers have course-corrected some of the poor editing and meandering storylines that plagued the last few seasons. Four seasons ago Ben Driebergen‘s eventual win was blatantly obvious from the jump due to his heroic editing and just last season the “Edge of Extinction” twist corrupted the tail end of a season where the story was forced to focus on endgame players that would eventually lose to Chris Underwood, a player who was in the game proper for only 13 of 39 days,

Hundreds of women have played the game of “Survivor,” but who are the most drop-dead gorgeous of all time? We’ve narrowed down the list to the Top 20 sexiest females ever, so click through our photo gallery above to see our complete rankings, worst to best. As always, be sure to sound off down in the comments section to let us know whether you agree or disagree with our picks.
20. Jenn Brown (Worlds Apart) — Jenn is almost like too cool to actually make our list, but her laissez faire attitude to playing the game is what makes her so attractive in the first place.
19. Amber Brkich — Amber was the All-Stars champion that no one saw coming because of her stealthy play and ability to wrap one of the game’s most notorious men around her finger. Though not exactly a black widow, her cunning and competitive nature increase her allure.

Early Saturday morning, Khushbu Kheti was lying in bed, and, like many mornings since this child therapist’s shocking diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in May, it was hard physically and emotionally to get up.
But that morning of April 8, more than 100 friends and family members were gathering in New York City to walk or run in her honor.
“It definitely helped me get out of bed today,” Kheti, 28, says as she stood in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, surrounded by scores of supporters before the start of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s 5K PurpleStride New York City.

The middle of Spring actually means a new selection of summer blockbusters to look forward to, and with a ton of big-budget films slated to come out within the next few months and beyond, the summer of 2015 looks like one to remember.
From the new Mad Max (which is already on our end-of -year top ten list event though we haven’t yet seen it) to Avengers, Poltergeists, male strippers, talking teddy bears, and a reboot of the Jurassic Park franchise, this summer’s trips to the theaters will be jam-packed with sequels and new tales. From May 1st right through to the end of August, some of the movies on our list could wind up on year-end “best of” lists or even receive some Oscar talk by December.
Grab your calendar, because Wamg has a rundown of this summer’s films we’re most excited about, so check them out below!

Pre-credit sequence. The teams are arriving in trucks, practically "Wages of Fear" style. Are they trying to say that this season's contestants are combustible? They're TNT, dyno-mite? The 18 castaways have been divided semi-arbitrarily into three tribes based on occupation and outlook on life, whatever that means. Up first? The White Collar tribe. "They're used to being in charge," Jeff Probst says. So admits she might be the Devil, says that she's demanding and makes her underlings cry. Max, who everybody I follow on Twitter knows from his "Survivor" teaching days, says that he's willing to use people to succeed. Carolyn compares this to her corporate experiences. The Blue Collar tribe is next. "They're used to hard work and physical labor," Probst says condescendingly. He resists calling them "salt of the earth" and "just folks." Mike is used to being covered in oil and mud and wants to get his hands filthy.

Something weird happened last year on Survivor. A contestant from another CBS reality show appeared on the program. Previously, CBS had imported stars from Survivor and Big Brother onto The Amazing Race. And it also cast Willie Hantz — brother of Survivor’s Russell and uncle of Survivor’s Brandon — on Big Brother. But Survivor — which is still considered the granddaddy and gold star of reality television, even if it doesn’t have the Emmy awards (or nominations, for that matter) to prove it — had never accepted sloppy seconds from another CBS show.

It's getting personal on season 27 of CBS' Survivor. This time around returning players will be pitted against their loved ones. Survivor's ratings have been declining over the past few years. Will this new twist cause the ratings to rise or will they fall? Time will tell.
Host Jeff Probst is back, as are 10 past contestants -- Aras Baskauskas, Candice Cody, Colton Cumbie, Gervase Peterson, Kat Edorsson, Laura Morett, Monica Culpepper, Rupert Boneham, Tina Wesson, and Tyson Apostol.
The higher a show's ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better its chances for survival. New ratings data will be added as it becomes available -- typically around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

“It’s My Night”
Airs Wednesday at 8pm (Et) on CBS
The challenge when analyzing Survivor is finding thrills when the finale reaches a predictable ending. This trend has happened frequently in recent seasons, with Malcolm’s exit from the Philippines being a rare exception. Even so, there’s still plenty to enjoy with Blood vs. Water’s conclusion. Tyson removes any doubts about a victory by taking the final two immunity challenges and choosing the right people. Underdogs like Ciera and Tina are too dangerous to face with this jury. Despite the editing focusing on Monica, she earns just one vote, and the rest go to Tyson. It’s hard to disagree with rewarding a guy who found two idols, built a solid alliance, and dodged stiff challenges from Hayden and Ciera. He’s come a long way from the goofball of the Tocantins or...

They were the last loved one pair in Survivor: Blood vs. Water, and they got there by very different means. Ciera Eastin was on the outs early so laid low, but then emerged in the back half of the season as risk-taker willing to vote out her own mom and gamble an immediate exit via a colored rock for the chance to improve her position. Mother Laura Morett, however, stuck around simply by destroying anyone that dared to face her at Redemption Island. Eventually, however, their time ran out. However we figured we would get the mother-daughter combo back together...

Gervase Peterson had “early boot” written all over him when he showed up to play Survivor: Blood vs. Water. After all, he had not played in 13 years, And the one time he did play back in season 1 of Borneo, he was best known for being freaked out by the food challenge and walking through a running challenge when he was out of eyesight from the rest of his tribe. But when presented this time with an opportunity to make a big move and vote out one of his biggest alliance members in Aras, Gervase took it. And that move brought...

Gervase Peterson, who joined "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" after not having competed on the show since Season 1, took third place during the finale behind Tyson Apostol and Monica Culpepper. He tells Zap2it that he did consider flipping on Tyson at one point.
Zap2it: Are you glad you returned to "Survivor"? What was different about this time around versus your first season?
Gervase Peterson: Absolutely ecstatic that they brought me back to play again. What was different was really the players. The game is the same, it was the players. They're a lot faster-paced with how they do things. As soon as we got to the beach, Colton came to me and he said here's our alliance -- it's me, you, Aras, Monica and Kat. I was like, "What if I don't like somebody in that alliance? I gotta play with them for 39 days?" ... That's the dumbest thing I ever heard.

Wednesday night's Survivor: Blood vs. Water saw two players exit the game after coming up short at their Redemption Island duel. We got our answer this evening when — after taking Carol out on a supply run — Rick told her she was not welcome to come back to the prison with him because he did not want her around his kids. And then, after giving her some supplies, he left her.
Brutal. Personally, I’m kind of Team Carol on this one.

When Kat Edorsson played Survivor: One World, she was known for her goofy antics - dancing, cracking jokes, and farting on her fellow castaways. Returning for Survivor: Blood vs. Water, Edorsson was much more subdued, never clicking with the people on her tribe. She found herself voted out on Day 16. Playing the game with her boyfriend, Big Brother winner Hayden Moss, Edorsson worried aloud that he would dump her after she was voted off, because "no one wants to date someone who makes the merge." The first thing you'll probably want to know (and the first thing I'll admit I wanted to know) is that Kat Edorsson and her "Big Brother"-winning boyfriend Hayden Moss are still together. Whew. Much of the opening act of Wednesday night's "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" was dedicated to 23-year-old Kat's concern that Hayden would break up with her over her failure to reach the "Survivor" Merge. The anxiety and tears climaxed in extensive deliberation between Kat and Hayden as to whether or not he should take her place in the Redemption Island Duel, a task that involved Kat's acknowledged...

Kat Edorsson was voted out of her tribe on last week's Survivor: Blood vs. Water, and last night she lost her Redemption Island puzzle duel, snuffing her hopes of winning Survivor in her second go-around. Now, the 23-year-old Florida student is talking to ETonline about whether she regrets making a move against Monica, how her performance on the show affected her relationship with Big Brother 12 winner, boyfriend Hayden Moss, and whether she was sure at the time he would even hypothetically split the million with her.
ETonline: I know that at a certain point in [your final] Tribal Council you got the idea that you might be going home, but did you think you were going home when you went into that Tribal Council?
Kat Edorsson: I had an idea. You can tell when you're going home when nobody can look at you, and nobody can give you any type of eye contact. So I had a...

“Any thoughts on these crying contestants?” -- @GoodGovt Fans set the Twittersphere ablaze Wednesday night as Kat cried her way off the show, just one challenge away from making the merge. The most repeated question I’m hearing about this season of Survivor: Blood vs. Water is: What’s up with all the tears? Wednesday night’s show began and ended with a watery display of emotion, stemming first from Kat, who lost the puzzle challenge at Redemption Arena, and lastly, with Laura B., who simply could not process voting out her friend, Vytas. The Blood vs. Water twist shows what can happen when

"Survivor: Blood vs. Water's" Kat Edorsson was the latest castaway to lose the duel at Redemption Island and be sent home. But she's ready to head up Team Hayden Moss -- her "Big Brother" boyfriend is the love of her life, she tells Zap2it.
Are you glad you went back on "Survivor"? How was it different from the first time around?
"Absolutely, I love this game. The first time, it was a breeze for me because I was in an alliance of women and we dominated the game. The second time, there were so many aspects. I don't know about you, but I was confused. [laughs] There were lots of twists and turns and everybody came out with their own agenda and their own loved ones. It made it hard."
Why do you think your tribe blindsided you instead of getting rid of Laura Boneham last week?

There was a super awkward scene in last night’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water where Kat Edorrson — who had been voted out of her tribe and was set to compete in a duel to stay alive at Redemption Island — flat out told her boyfriend Hayden that she wanted him to swap spots with her. Only one problem: Hayden didn’t want to. Therefore, he didn’t. So how did Kat feel about that after she was eliminated? “After the game, I was Pissed!” she told Jessica Shaw and me when she called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) this morning.

Survivor Review, Season 27, Episode 7
“Swoop in for the Kill”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Survivor: Blood vs. Water has been filled with personal stories and conflicts that have made it one of the most consistent seasons of recent years. Even an arrogant goofball like Brad Culpepper offered plenty of entertainment with his failed strategy and the anger he inspired in others. We’ve seen players truly moved by the plight of their loved ones, and there’s been a greater sense of fun during the challenges. On the other hand, there’s the story of Laura Boneham. After being voted out on the first day and saved by her husband Rupert, she settled into a background role. Others have called her annoying or ridiculed her attempts at strategy, but her position was secure. Why vote out someone who’s barely a threat? Laura seems like a nice person,...

Twenty-seven seasons into Survivor, it’s hard to believe any contestant can get away with being the “manipulative” one. At this point it’s an embarrassing, outdated word for gameplay on reality TV, the kind of whodunnit connivery you associate with Richard Hatch or Project Runway‘s Wendy Pepper – self-fancied Iagos ginning up the green-eyed monster in otherwise rational competitors. Which is why it’s insane that any Survivor veteran in 2013 — let alone the veterans who’ve been invited back to play — can be so naive as to allow a blatant manipulator like Vytas plow through their preordained plan of attack with almost no pushback. Vytas is not just manipulative. He is hauntingly stalwart in his plan to undermine his female teammates with “vulnerability.” “We’re eliminating you!” his teammates tell him. He blinks once and responds, “Oh. Right. You are. Thank you for telling me. Thank you. But… you won’t.

Each week, host Jeff Probst will answer a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water.
Entertainment Weekly: I have asked you this before, but in light of Laura blatantly copying off of John’s puzzle at the duel, and Kat not wanting to do it because she viewed it as “cheating,” it seems worth asking again: Why not put blinders up so contestants can not copy off of each other during puzzles, especially since it can give the person closer to the completed one (in this case, Laura) an advantage?
Jeff Probst: Complicated question and answer.

Pre-credit sequence. When we left "Survivor," Kat had signed her own execution papers and she was heading to Redemption. We begin on Night 16, as Kat is praising herself for not crying. "Apparently we had an issue with trust," Kat says, crediting Vytas for swooping in for the kill. In the Redemption shelter, Kat places the blame on everybody else for her ouster. She's worried, though, that Hayden will be disappointed with her. "No one wants to date someone who didn't make the Merge. He's gonna dump me," she laments. The next morning, she's finally crying. Now she's worried that Hayden...

Survivor 27,Blood Vs Water eliminated Laura Boneham in episode 7 tonight. Tonight's episode, kicked off with more conversation footage. Kat started balling tears at Redemption Island for getting voted out,and also thought her boyfriend, Hayden, would be very disappointed in her over it. It was really strange. She acted like a little three year old. Next, they showed Redemption Island, dual, footage with Kat, Laura M, and John. Before things started, Kat ran to get a hug from Hayden and started crying again. Then host,Jeff Probst, brought up the question of will Hayden trade places with Kat, so she can get back in the game. Kat was all for it, but Hayden clearly was not, and told her to think about who has a better shot at winning. Finally, she came to the conclusion that Hayden would do better if he stayed. The dual consisted of another puzzle challenge.

When we last left our intrepid castaways on "Survivor: Blood vs. Water," Kat was shipped off to Redemption Island. When she gets there, she blasts her tribe members, making us kind of giggle when she calls Tina's daughter a tag-along.
Redemption Island
In the morning, Kat is crying and worried that Hayden is going to be upset with her and ashamed of her. Ok, we've actually spent a lot of time with Hayden and he's a really good guy. Seriously, he's so super nice. There's no way he would feel that way, though it's kind of alarming that Kat thinks so.
She cries when they arrive at the arena and starts blubbering out an apology. Probst questions them and Hayden says he doesn't view her any differently and his relationship is more important than the game. So Probst challenges him to take Kat's spot right now.
Honestly, that's not fair,...

[Spoiler Alert: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Blood vs. Water]
Memo to all Survivor: Blood vs. Water contestants: Stop Talking! At least stop talking after your tribe loses a challenge, because it seems every week now that someone starts speaking out of turn and then ends up getting themselves voted off the tribe. Last week it was Kat (who attempted to deviate from the plan) and tonight it was Rupert’s wife Laura, who decided to inform Vytas that he was the one being voted off. The problem was she had not cleared saying that with her alliance yet, so her alliance took none too kindly to her impromptu speech.

On this week's episode of Survivor, Blood vs. Water, Kat is still reeling from being voted out last week. She's worried that her relatively new boyfriend Hayden will think less of her for being voted off. She's ashamed of herself and wanted to continue the game as a team, but alas, she is not able to ride coattails like she did the first time she played.

“One-Man Wrecking Ball”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
In the pre-merge game of Survivor, it’s easy to think too far ahead and step into the muck. During her first appearance in One World, Kat believed in her alliance and felt betrayed when they kicked her out. She was a fun character who talked constantly and didn’t really understand the game. Kat’s goofy personality drew a return invitation, and she has spent this season under the radar. Of course, this week reminds us that changing your limited game isn’t so easy. Her feeble attempts to stir the pot blow up in her face and kick her right to Redemption Island. Apparently Kat hasn’t spent much time watching the Australia season. Tina is an intelligent player who has no qualms about stabbing others in the back. She’s immensely loyal to her alliance,...
