"Love in Gravity," a scripted podcast presented by ViiV Healthcare, is a necessary listen. The pod aims to normalize HIV prevention in gay, bi, and trans Latine communities through stories of love, loss, and self-discovery. According to the National Institutes of Health, Latines get new HIV diagnoses three times more often than white, non-Hispanic people - further proof that content like "Love in Gravity" is needed.

By now, the beats of an aspiring-musician saga are as familiar as those of a fairy tale. There’s the hungry young artist who seems marked for stardom long before the rest of the world has caught on. There’s the crappy starter apartment, and the glitzy industry parties, and the boardroom meetings with labels who don’t quite get it. There’s the moment when the hero hears his own song on the radio, and the moment when he caves to the temptations of fame, and the moment he’s made to decide to be true to himself.
Sometimes, in the darker iterations of this story, there’s also the spectacular crash after the meteoric rise; in the more thoughtful or incisive versions, there might be conversations about the limitations of his art or the compromises it demands or its impact on the world. But Neon is not that tale.

Kobe Bryant is best known for his 20-year career playing basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Oscar winner always kept a foot in the entertainment industry as well. As it turns out, he came close to racking up one more screen credit before his tragic death in February 2020.
In a new episode of their “Dare We Say” podcast (via Entertainment Weekly), actresses Josie Totah and Alycia Pascual-Peña, who starred on Peacock’s short-lived reboot of “Saved by the Bell” revealed that the basketball legend almost appeared on the show. Bryant had been a fan of the original series and was scheduled to film a cameo on the reboot just days before the helicopter crash that killed him and his daughter.

Hadley Robinson had never heard of Bikini Kill before she was cast in Moxie. Directed by Amy Poehler and based on Jennifer Mathieu’s 2017 young adult novel of the same name, the Netflix movie follows Robinson’s Vivian, a shy 16-year-old who sparks a rebellion at her high school when she starts anonymously publishing a feminist zine. Vivian is inspired, in part, by her discovery of a box in her mom’s closet loaded with riot grrrl paraphernalia — and the moment she hears the opening screech of feedback in the...

Directed by Amy Poehler, glorious coming of age comedy Moxie hit Netflix last week and was a joyful celebration of giving a damn. The movie sees 16-year-old Vivian (Hadley Robinson) inspired by her mum’s (Poehler) former feminist escapades and the misogyny she sees at her school to produce her own Zine (called Moxie) to unite her class mates and try to make a difference.
Sometimes she gets it wrong. Sometimes she hits out at the wrong people. But Vivian and her friends’ determination, hope, doggedness and, sure, moxie, sees real change emerge. It’s funny and vital and an absolute breath of fresh air. Though the film focuses on Vivian, one of the joys of Moxie is that it’s not just Vivian who goes on a journey. Each of the main characters has an arc which explores different kinds of responses to feminism.
Here we break them down.

Blame suburban life: Former riot grrl Lisa (Amy Poehler) has mellowed since her days as a patriarchy-smashing punk-rock princess. She’s raised her only child, the sweet-natured Vivian (Hadley Robinson), on a steady diet of Bikini Kill lyrics and feminist bon mots, but Viv has never felt the call to tear down the status quo. That’s about to change. When the earnest “Moxie” — which Poehler also directed — opens, unassuming Vivian is stuck in a terrible nightmare, trapped in the woods, terrified, running, and literally unable to use her own voice to save herself. , and it seems telling that Viv’s nightmare unfolds the night before she head back to Rockport High School for her junior year.
Rockport High, like many an on-screen high school before it, is defined by its many cliques, and neither Vivian nor her best pal Claudia (Lauren Tsai) fit in any of them. Bookish and smart,...

Amy Poehler is here to start a revolution — in her teen daughter’s high school. In the first trailer for her film “Moxie” that’s all scored to the classic Bikini Kill song, a group of teenage “Rebel Girls” work to disrupt the sexist norms at their high school by starting a punk rock zine.
Hadley Robinson stars as Poehler’s 16-year-old daughter in the film who tries to keep her head down to avoid pestering and harassment by the jock kids who look to rank girls by their body parts and bangability. But she’s woken up when a new student played by Alycia Pascual-Pena helps her to realize that girls in high school don’t have to put up with this stuff.
Together they’re inspired by her mother’s rebellious past to publish an anonymous underground zine called Moxie and become the center of a feminist rebellion.

The new “Saved by the Bell” announces the kind of comedy it wants to be from the very start, opening with a campaign ad from California Governor Zack Morris (played with a Republican smarm that doesn’t really exist anymore by Mark-Paul Gosselaar). The spot, which feels like it was produced by the same team who worked on Bobby Newport’s “Parks & Recreation” ads, acts as the extremely thin connective thread from the original series to this 2020 “reimagining. Since leaving Bayside nearly 30 years ago, Zack is still, in the parlance of the Funny or Die series, trash, since his rise to the Governor’s mansion was all part of an elaborate scheme to get out of a $75 parking ticket. This sequence also immediately tears down the fourth wall, as Morris mentions that after college he “became a successful trial attorney” with a shot of Gosselaar (flanked by Breckin Meyer) as...

From 1989 to 1992, Saved by the Bell ran on NBC for four seasons (and one College Years season) and became a staple for Saturday mornings before it became a syndicated celebration of the delightfully corny and wholesome adventures of the Bayside High gang. We’re so excited for the “Saved by the Bell” revival and Peacock’s new teaser for the show, which includes Elizabeth Berkley’s Jessie Spano explaining how “exciting” caffeine pills are, has made it so we just can’t hide it.
In the video, which the NBCUniversal-owned streaming service dropped during the show’s virtual summer Ctam panel Monday, Zack Morris’ son, Mac (played by Mitchell Hoog) is offering caffeine pills to fellow Bayside High student Daisy (Haskiri Velazquez) to help “increase” her productivity.
That’s when Jessie, who is now the guidance counselor at her alma mater, jumps over to lecture them about the dangers of caffeine pills, poking fun at one of the most memorable episodes of the original series, in which Jessie gets “addicted” to caffeine pills.

Peacock is rounding out the cast of its upcoming “Saved by the Bell” reboot.
Mitchell Hoog has been cast as Mac Morris, son of Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), who lead the original 1989 series.
Mac is described as “the handsome, charming, privileged son” of California governor Zack Morris. That’s right — in the new series, Zack has grown up to join the state government, and has now gotten himself “into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state, including Bayside High,” according to Peacock’s description.
Three other new Bayside high schoolers have also been cast, including the son of Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), who was part of the original “Saved by the Bell” friend group along with Zack (Gosselaar), Screech (Dustin Diamond...

Peacock has rounded out the lead cast for its upcoming Saved by the Bell reboot, adding Haskiri Velazquez (The Birch), Mitchell Hoog (Harriet), Alycia Pascual-Pena (Chase) and Belmont Cameli (Empire).
They join previously announced original-series cast members Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who are returning for the reboot, along with new leads Josie Totah and Dexter Darden.
In the new Saved by the Bell, California Governor Zack Morris (Gosselaar) gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes they send the affected students to the highest-performing schools in the state, including Bayside High.
