This story about Niecy Nash and “Stolen by My Mother” first appeared in the Limited Series & Movies issue of TheWrap’s Emmy magazine.
The character that Niecy Nash plays in the Lifetime movie “Stolen by My Mother: The Kamiyah Mobley Story” was never on the set of the film, and couldn’t have been there if she wanted to — she’s serving an 18-year prison sentence for kidnapping an infant from a Florida hospital and raising the girl as her own daughter for almost 19 years.
In the film from director Jeffrey Byrd, Nash plays Gloria Williams, who slipped into the hospital disguised as a nurse, walked out with 8-hour-old Kamiyah Mobley — whom she renamed Alexis — and took the baby home. There, family and friends assumed the child belonged to Williams, who’d hidden her recent miscarriage and was desperate to give her abusive boyfriend the baby he wanted.

While the series remains one of Fox's top-rated shows, the network announced that season six would be the final year. It's also been revealed that former co-star Jussie Smollett won't be returning following his real-life drama. Will Smollett's absence cause the ratings to drop further or could it cause the ratings to rebound in some way and cause the network to rethink ending the show? Could Empire possibly be renewed for season seven after all? Stay tuned.

A couple weeks ago, Fox announced that the Empire TV show had been renewed for a sixth season for the 2019-20 season. Today, the network announced that that will be the end for the music drama. There won't be a seventh season of what was once Fox's biggest series.
Empire stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta'Rhonda Jones, Serayah, Andre Royo, Rhyon Nicole Brown, and Nicole Ari Parker. Season six will see Empire return to its original Tuesday timeslot and the drama will surpass the 100 episode mark.

Hey, "Empire" fans. Unfortunately, we have some pretty bad news to deliver in this article. It turns out that it's that time of year again where your favorite show is going to have to take a back seat to Fox's coverage of the Major League Baseball World Series. Yep, that's right. The upcoming episode 5 of this current season 4 is getting delayed for a possible two weeks! It's definitely not going to air next Wednesday, October 25,2017 due to Fox covering the big Game 2 of the World Series. What could make this even worse is if the series is driven to seven games. That means the show would not air on Wednesday night, November 1,2017 as well! This is a big "if" though. It has happened in the past. In fact, it just happened last year causing Empire to be delayed for two weeks. We certainly hope that doesn't happen this year, but...
