Warner Bros. Discovery’s fourth-quarter success largely depends on strong performance at Food Network, as the cable channel draws its highest number of eyeballs — and ad dollars — when the holidays roll around. But in 2023, the network had additional tasks to check off for the company, including driving viewers to Max and pushing them to the theater for titles including Warner Bros. At least 22 people have come forward suing NutriBullet for injuries related to using the high-speed blender.
The users say the NutriBullet exploded off of the machine from the pressure inside the container, causing the spinning blade to lacerate people or the heated contents inside to cause severe burns.
One plaintiff, Sheryl Utal, tells CBS News she experienced second-degree burns after her blender burst after having used it for several years to make smoothies.
“It just came flying out all over me, all over the kitchen, the ceilings, the walls,” Utal says. “And it was on my chest. It also had...

Mario Batali and Gwyneth Paltrow are not only old friends, but they’re also cooking partners.
As one of our 50 Food Faves included in this week’s issue, the Chew co-host told People that his “favorite” sous chef is the goop founder. Though she’s written two of her own cookbooks and offers plenty of wellness advice on her website, you’d think collaborating with such a beloved, professional-trained chef still might be intimidating—but Paltrow can more than hold her own.
“She’s a great cook and she’s curious,” says Batali. “But she also teaches me quite a lot.

Many chefs tell similar tales of how they came upon a culinary career: They grew up learning recipes in grandma’s kitchen. They spent their teen years toiling behind the stoves of neighborhood restaurants. But for Eddie McNamara, a former cop turned vegetarian chef, it was a national tragedy that ultimately led him to find his true calling.
Brooklyn native McNamara, 41, joined the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey police department in August 1999, following a brief stint in sales. “I thought if I became a cop, I would do something meaningful that I could look back on later in life,...

Ree Drummond — best known as the Food Network’s Pioneer Woman — has a lot on her plate, figuratively and literally.
With a wildly popular lifestyle blog, 3 cookbooks, 3 children’s books, a cooking show, and a homeware line at Walmart, it’s hard to imagine how the mother-of-four could have time for another major project — but with her newly opened store and cafe, The Mercantile, she’s gone all in.
“It’s very exciting, and honestly a little surreal,” Drummond tells People of her latest endeavor. “I’ve never actually opened the doors of a business, so it’s totally new territory for me.

I have a question, my gorgeous ghouls, how early is too early to plan your Halloween costume? Is now too early? Cause I'm pretty enamored with the idea of dressing as "Parks and Recreation" curmudgeon Ron Swanson. Wear a moustache, snark at people and eat these bacon meatballs all night? I see no downside. Well except for that massive coronary that will greet me on Nov. 1. (Pioneer Woman)
If it turns out my darling Michael Fassbender impregnated January Jones, well, I'm going to have a massive coronary anyway. My only love b*ning my only hate? Too early seen unknown and known too late! (Celebitchy)
I'm sorry, my loves, did I just Shakespeare you? Did I spray my doublet and hose all over your nice clean monitor? I apologize. However, while I'm being disgustingly erudite, let me just get this out of the way. Here's a great list of 40 literary terms you should know.
