Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna is paying homage to the late Ronnie James Dio with a new tribute act.
Belladonna and his wife Krista will be performing songs from throughout Dio’s career — including his time in Black Sabbath and Rainbow — across four Florida concert dates in August, which can be seen below.
Wrote the singer on Facebook: “Krista and I are proud to announce our new tribute band to Ronnie James Dio! A night of songs from Dio, Sabbath, and Rainbow!”
According to Belladonna’s website, the tribute will see performances of Dio’s most iconic songs, namely: Dio’s “Holy Diver” and “Rainbow in the Dark”; Black Sabbath’s “Heaven and Hell” and “Neon Knights”; and Rainbow’s “Man on the Silver Mountain” and “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll.”

After fans were very disappointed with the end result of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, WB Games and Rocksteady are trying to make one final move to bring players back to the game.
According to some rumors and insider sources, the canon story of the game will change drastically thanks to some plot twists that will arrive in the upcoming seasons. The studio will bring back very important characters to draw players attention and increase sales. This is the average strategy for all live-service games: make more content post-game.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seemingly found its new Sentry. Though it hasn't been officially confirmed by the folks at Marvel Studios, it has been reported widely that the character will appear in the upcoming "Thunderbolts" movie that is set to conclude Phase 5 of the MCU. Recently, Steven Yeun announced his departure from the film, which left the production with a pretty big problem to solve.
According to Deadline, Lewis Pullman is the man who has been tasked with solving that problem. The 30-year-old actor, best known for his work in movies like "Top Gun: Maverick" and "The Strangers: Prey at Night," is now poised to join his biggest franchise yet. Jake Schreier is directing "Thunderbolts," which is expected to begin filming in the coming months. While plot details have yet to be revealed, the Thunderbolts are not unlike DC's Suicide Squad, in that it's historically a team of villains...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe stands as one of the most expansive and interconnected cinematic realms, boasting a plethora of projects. Before Disney+ began crafting its own mini-series, Netflix held its ground with the “DefenderVerse,” linked to the MCU. Despite this connection, the events unfolding in these shows were largely overlooked by the primary MCU films and subsequent endeavors.
Enter the Defenders Saga, also recognized as Street-Level Heroes or Marvel Knights, a collection of Marvel Television shows on Netflix. Focused on the vigilantes within the MCU’s New York City, it kicks off with the first season of ‘Daredevil’ and concludes with the third season of ‘Jessica Jones.’ Despite its technical integration into the MCU, fans have harbored skepticism regarding the canonical status of these shows.

Bahnsen Knights, from the two person Argentinian development team Lcb Game Studio, is the third in a series of text-based games that the studio have dubbed Pixel Pulps. Following Mothmen 1966 and Varney Lake, the new entry takes on a grimy, 1980s post-apocalyptic aesthetic and sees you operating as an undercover agent who has infiltrated a cult in order to find evidence that could implicate them in the murder of your close friend.
Though Bahnsen Knights is primarily a story game—with a close resemblance to a Choose Your Own Adventure book—it doesn’t have a great story per se. There isn’t much momentum to its narrative or tension in the underlying mystery. Its best and most layered character—a dive bar owner with deep interests in mathematics and, ironically, the craft of writing interesting characters—is a bit of an anomaly. And while the writing has its moments,...

After beating the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals in five games, the Vegas Golden Knights are Stanley Cup Champions. And incredibly, they’ll be returning everyone but Reilly Smith in the 2023-2024 NHL season, who Vegas traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL draft.
Star center Jack Eichel and Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault will be looking for another deep playoff run if the team can stay healthy. They’ve already proven after last year they’ve got a deep bench of quality goaltenders, led by Adin Hill. He took over from Laurent Brossoit in the second round of the playoffs against the Edmonton Oilers after Brossoit was injured. Hill never looked back, leading Vegas to a Stanley Cup.

The week on Gotham Knights — ahead of the cancelled CW drama‘s series finale — one character came back from the dead (and then some!), while a whole new murder scene proved to be very bad news for Turner & Co.
While Duela and her mom laid low in a trailer home and prepared to make a new life for themselves (in anticipation of a windfall from “one last job” Jane pulled…), Turner and the others discovered in the attic the lapel camera that Cullen had worn as a faux cop, beeping because its battery was low. Lex marked the spot on Tuesday’s Superman & Lois, as the Man of Steel’s most iconic adversary (now played by The Walking Dead‘s Michael Cudlitz) finally touched down in Smallville.
But this isn’t your father’s, or even your grandfather’s, Lex Luthor. He’s still a bald billionaire — arguably the character’s two key requirements — but his slick, well-groomed facade has been replaced by the kind of gruff, bearded nightmare you’d never want to encounter in a dark alley. Think less Succession and more Sons of Anarchy.

Gotham Knights‘ Misha Collins has broken his silence regarding The CW series’ recent cancellation. The actor, who plays Gotham City’s district attorney Harvey Dent, admitted to feeling “incredibly bummed” in a lengthy tweet sent Monday afternoon.
“Just got back on the grid after unplugging for a week to hear the news that #CWGothamKnights was canceled by @TheCW and won’t be able to find a new home,” he wrote. “I’m incredibly bummed, and selfishly disappointed to not be able to fully explore my ‘villain arc,’ but I’m proud of the show we made and so grateful to...

Is The Idol being yanked off the airwaves already by HBO? Not so fast.
Despite a report in the New York Post that The Idol won’t return for a second season, just two episodes into its run, HBO is standing behind the controversial drama starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd. In fact, the network took the unusual step of denying the report in a tweet: “It is being misreported that a decision on a second season of The Idol has been determined. It has not, and we look forward to sharing the next episode with you Sunday night.”

In her first proper interview since Walker Independence was cancelled (nearly a month ago), series lead Katherine McNamara notes, unsurprisingly, “It’s not the news we wanted to hear.”

But as a guest on The Wayne Ayers Podcast (the full episode drops this Wednesday), she was able to actually post mortem it all, saying that “one of the showrunners and one of the producers called me” with the news, “and obviously it’s not the call we wanted to get.

Gotham Knights rises on The CW tonight and while the Arrowverse is no longer with us — nor is Batman, in this case — DC Comics fans do (finally) have something to cheer for. Along with the fabulous Superman & Lois, which precedes it by an hour, this latest entry into SuperTV is a fun ride through familiar territory with a new twist. And we’re into it. Pulling in deep cuts from the comics, Knights centers on Turner Hayes, the adopted son of Bruce Wayne. Just don’t expect a billionaire playboy redux. “He’s nice,” offers Oscar Morgan, the instantly likable British actor behind the scion of Wayne-funded privilege. “He wants to be liked by anyone that will like him really, and he’s well-intentioned.” Admitting that the loner Turner “definitely needs to be ...

Lately, we have been hearing a lot about all the amazing Disney titles that we are going to be getting on the Disney+ streaming service this November. But we know that Disney has many teams and always has a trick up their sleeve. So now we have word that the House of Mouse is creating a brand new live-action adventure film entitled Knights, which is being made for a theatrical release.
The family film will be set in the European middle ages, and Deadline reports the following description:
The original pic will follow a headstrong young woman who joins a knight on his quest to destroy a world-threatening artifact before it falls into the wrong hands.
The film is in very early stages, but it’s exciting to hear that among all the remakes and sequels, which are good in their own right, we are also getting some brand new stories from the studio.

Exclusive: Disney is in development on live-action family-adventure movie Knights, set in the European Middle Ages.
We understand the original pic will follow a headstrong young woman who joins a knight on his quest to destroy a world-threatening artefact before it falls into the wrong hands. The screenplay is being worked on by Matt Orton, who scripted 2018 MGM feature Operation Finale, starring Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley and Mélanie Laurent.
This one, still in early development, is being shepherded by the Disney live-action team with execs Jessica Virtue and Chaz Salembier overseeing. We understand it is likely to be a theatrical project rather than a Disney+ title.
Production VP Virtue is among the most senior women in the studio’s live-action team and has worked on upcoming movies including the big-budget reboot of Mulan with Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen, Jett Li, Jason Scott Lee and Li Gong; Cruella with Emma Stone...

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has its work cut out in wrapping up all the loose threads of the Sequel Trilogy so far and one of the biggest is just who exactly are the Knights of Ren? Kylo’s stooges have been referenced and glimpsed in flashback before now, but both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi failed to clarify much about this mysterious dark order. From what we know though, it sounds like the Knights are a big part of Episode IX and this new promo art for the movie gives us our clearest look at them yet.

The first poster for Star Wars: Episode IX leaked online today and revealed numerous new details about the highly-anticipated closer to the saga’s Sequel Trilogy. One of the most notable is the confirmation that the Knights of Ren will appear in the movie. The mysterious underlings of Kylo Ren have only been glimpsed in The Force Awakens up to now but Episode IX looks set to properly introduce them to audiences.
And we here at We Got This Covered can now confirm what role the Knights will play in the film. According to our source, they’ll act as the main villains of the piece. From what we understand, the Knights of Ren are said to have a large part in Episode IX and will display “a great understanding of the Force.”

Disney Plus is set to be a must-have streaming service for Star Wars fans. Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian, the first ever live-action TV series in the franchise, is already in full-swing and a Rogue One prequel starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor is in the works, too. It won’t stop there, though, as Lucasfilm is reportedly considering a whole load of other Sw shows as well.
In particular, Hn Entertainment has got five series that they’ve heard are in the “very, very early stages” of development. First up are vehicles for a young Princess Leia, Captain Phasma and Rose Tico. These ones are arguably relatively safe bets as they’ll follow characters we know well from the movies. Two more concepts in development are perhaps a bit more ambitious, though, as they’ll fill in blanks in the Star Wars mythology.

Get ready to learn how to say “what the hell just happened?” in Japanese. “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” one of the most acclaimed — and straight up weird — works in anime history, will be available to stream globally for the first time when it debuts on Netflix in 2019.
The announcement came during Netflix’s Anime Lineup Presentation, held Tuesday in Tokyo.
Produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, “Neon Genesis Evangelion” originally aired on TV Tokyo from October 1995 to March 1996. Set in the far-future year of 2015, the show tracks a war between humans, defended by pilots who control giant bio-machines called “Evangelions,” and aliens called “Angels.” Drawing imagery from Kabbalah, Christianity and Judaism, “Evangelion” is particularly celebrated — and notorious — for its insane ending. The uninitiated can watch the teaser trailer above.

During their Anime Lineup Presentation event at the Akiba Theatre in Tokyo today, Netflix unveiled their slate of Anime programming for 2019.
The new lineup is an expansion of their successful original Anime programming which includes Devilman Crybaby and B: the Beginning. Netflix announced that they would be revisiting some of the most beloved stories that many Anime fans already know and love, including Ultraman, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac.
The news comes after Netflix made their first-ever Asia showcase earlier this month where they announced the addition of Pacific Rim, Altered Carbon, Cagaster of an Insect Cage, Yasuke, and Trese to their anime slate. The slate continues Netflix’s global reach when it comes to original content, telling stories from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and South Korea.

Back in May this year, a very early Star Wars: Episode IX storyboard leaked online, bringing us a major helping of questionable plot details, including a five-year time jump from the events of The Last Jedi. Slightly under four months later, it remains to be seen just how much of this alleged information will make it into the final film, but more recently leaked resources perhaps add some credibility to at least one nugget of information regarding Kylo Ren.
The new Supreme Leader of the First Order could be meeting up with his old friends, the Knights of Ren, in the J.J. Abrams-helmed flick.
