Likeable Mess.
Kraemorr14 July 2001
This is a film with fairly bad acting, an awfully tacky script, and a completely absurd finale, a film that I would most likely score 1/5, but strangely this film has a likeability about it, some sort of ridiculous charm, though even that can't push this film too far. It's OK. 2.5/5

A Comedy that is Simply not Funny
The-Sarkologist23 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Well, poor Steve Fresh's mum has one month to come up with $32,000 or she will be kicked out of her home. That is a bit of a difficulty so Steve gets together with his friends to attempt to outwit the evil banker that digs through people's safety deposit boxes after they die. What they decide is to pool their talents and to make a porno, and they land up getting the evil banker's daughters as the main stars. The big question is: how does one make a movie about making porno's and only rate it as an M. Well, that is easy because they have very discrete with what they show. Personally I though the Nude Bomb had a better quote, but this was what I was wondering about this movie anyway. You do see a bit of flesh, but it people's pants do remain on, and when they do not, you don't see it on the camera. This movie is really pro-pornography. They try to say that it is okay because it is not really exploitation of women as the women are doing it out of their own willingness. It may be so, but what I do think is does encourage is people to lust after other people's bodies and really not look beyond a woman (or even a man) as what their bodies show. Personally I prefer to have a relationship with a living, breathing woman, than to stare at them through a television screen. That and porno's being generally boring and exist only to show people not only trumping around in the nude, but having explicit sex, is simply something that I do not find interesting. This movie though was supposed to be a comedy, and it is funny in places, but in the end it is little more than a T&A with a pro-porno message. Also, the acting was quite irritating at times and it also seemed that they were trying to push the message a bit too much. It was not a subtle movie, but it was still enjoyable while it lasted.

Not Good
Chubbs-22 September 1999
This is not a good movie, thank god it was free.

It's the story of a bunch of friends who try to raise 30 grand, so one of their houses don't get repossessed by the bank.

They come up with the idea of making adult films, which between them, they've seen quite a few.

They bumble throughout the whole movie, all the way to a boring ending

Very Very Bad.

All the Way (.....to the charity shop with the rest of my junk)
rob-23612 December 2005
A Great fun idea – A twenty-something guy needs to raise $30,000 in order to save his mothers house from being repossessed by the bank and his friends offer to help raise the cash needed – by pooling their talents and making a porno movie!

The result is far from fun, it's a muddled bore with a script that's so awful it makes the scriptwriters fellow countrymen who write the likes of "Sons and Daughters" and "Home and Away" look like "best script" Oscar contenders.

The acting is also pretty substandard to say the least. All in all, a great big Australian mess.

More 'stay away' than 'All the way' - don't bother with this one.

Not even half way

I am afraid that this movie is comfortably the worst movie I have ever seen, and yes, I have seen some bad ones in my time. As far as I am concerned a low budget isn't any excuse for something as bad as this.

The acting is awful, the plot is almost non-existent. I just really couldn't care less about any of the characters or any of the story for that matter. Now I went into this movie very open minded and perhaps, even wanting to like it.

I now consider this movie to be the benchmark that I shall judge all bad films by. In fact, it might be worth watching... just purely to give you a greater appreciation of any movie that you have ever enjoyed.

Worth seeing so you can appreciate a good movie
Gordo R4 October 1999
Although All the Way is an awful movie I recommend seeing it so you can appreciate a good movie. It makes all the mistakes it could - the plot is too loose and you don't feel sympathy for any characters, the camera work is pathetic, the editing hopeless, etc.

As for the acting, well, if you have ever wanted to star in a movie this one will convince you that you can, regardless of your acting ability.

A story of friendship... and making an erotic movie!!
Gallagsn8 January 2001
I absolutely loved this movie!! The previous comment goes into detail, so I won't, but suffice to say that this is an excellent piece of work that most Hollywood "Coming Of Age" movies could never even come close to... The storyline is a bit far-fetched, but the underlying theme of friendship is very strong. And for a movie about making an erotic movie, there's very little nudity in it. The storyline is able to carry the movie without it!!! Take note, Hollywood.. (However, I'd just like to add that Karrie (Bronwyn Jones (I)) is a major babe!!!) A must see!

Fairly Good

Considering this film was made on a shoe string budget and the fact that this was Marque Owen's directing and producing debut, the end result wasn't bad. The film included a very talented cast and deserves a look! Congratulations to Bryan Wiseman (Miss Willis) who endured 2 hours of latex make-up for every shoot....then had to tolerate working in extreme summer temperatures...now he's working in Hollywood!

Worth Watching!
IQ-623 May 2000
Warning: Spoilers
REVIEW (SPOILERS!)

All The Way is the romantic comedy about five best friends and one big problem. When Steve's family home is foreclosed on by a corrupt bank manager, his friends (Robyn, Danny, Lisa and Mike) must find $30,000 in 30 days.

They decide the only way to raise that much money is to make a film... an adult film.

Now these nice, clean-cut kids don't know the first thing about making a home video, let alone an erotic masterpiece but together they try to solve all of the problems, relationship hassles, philosophical arguments and technicalities of shooting such a film... in time.

BUT...

Steve rekindles a flame with his old school sweetheart, Karrie.... a theology student,

Mike can't keep his tongue in his mouth - it's full of his foot!

Robyn's lover, Anna, won't condone this misogynism and forces Robyn to quit the group,

And the Bank Manager sets a nasty goon after Steve and his friends.

In the face of all this, Steve manages to overcome his problems but only with the help of the people he loves, because you've got to have friends which is really what the film is about anyway.

The beauty of this film is that it works. We've all seen films that are big and expensive and bad. This film works, the story is sweet. The characters are nicely drawn. And with all this, it was made on a shoestring, released theatrically and is out on video through Fox.

It shows what can be achieved with little or no resources.

Sure, the acting, lighting, camera work and sound are not up to hollywood standard. But it was shot with less than $30,000. Total!

Not bad.

This is a film that should be seen by all aspiring film makers who have a story and a dream. It is possible!
