Young Sheldon producers are well aware of the potential sitcom reunion on their hands.
For three seasons now, Reba McEntire has recurred on the Big Bang Theory spinoff as hairstylist June Ballard, ex-wife of Craig T. Nelson’s Dale. And from the beginning, fellow Reba vet Melissa Peterman (aka Barbara Jean) has recurred as next-door neighbor Brenda Sparks. June and Brenda have even appeared in the same episode — Season 4’s “A Second Prodigy and the Hottest Tips for Pouty Lips,” in which Brenda received a haircut not unlike Reba Hart — but McEntire and Peterman’s characters still did not cross paths.

RacingWin.com has Written a wonderful article about Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s victory today in a Nascar event. Why does it interest us? Because Dale was driving a car with a Batman paint scheme. Neato! Dale Earnhardt Jr did not have the fastest car at the start of the Quicken Loans 400. But 400 miles later he did as the No. 88 displayed in the No. 1 position on the scoring pylon. Earnhardt started the race 17th and quickly fell back to 25th. But 11 laps into the race crew chief Steve Letarte called for a spring rubber and a chassis adjustment on the black, Batman sponsored No. 88 and the car came to life after that. By lap 70 Earnhardt passed pole-sitter Marcos Ambrose for the lead and quickly pulled away. Earnhardt took the lead for the final time on lap 172 and never looked back for the final 28 laps. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. first broke onto the scene at SXSW in 2011, where they did about eight shows -- the festival serving as a sort of mini, trial tour for those on the cusp of being discovered. This year, the band is eyeing about half as many shows, which they kicked off with a private party Saturday night, hosted by Tito's Vodka. The band, made up of Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein (not earnestly named race car driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and by extension, Dale Earnhardt Sr.) is known for their radio-friendly song "Simple Girl," but their sound is more rock-heavy than their single would let on. Zott, the band's lead vocalist, took a few minutes aside while packing up equipment to chat with HuffPost about their rock-meets-dance sound, how things have changed since SXSW last year and their signature, neon checkered race-car sports coats.

But one note before I get to them: We may take on a couple I didn't get to in this week's Talking TV with Ryan and Ryan podcast, during which my co-host Ryan McGee will also discuss "Awake," premiering Thursday. Look for that review Wednesday and the podcast late this week.
Now, on to your questions!
Dale Kunz: Do you think "Mad Men's" long hiatus has cost it the cultural initiative? I should be bugnuts for it coming back, but I'm not. Think that first new hour will snap us all back into place as fans or will they have to work at it to draw back their audience?

Tree Of Life (20th Century Fox) Terrence Malick’s latest effort is both the best film of 2011 and the finest work of his (arguably) mixed, but often masterly canon. A series of vignettes, mostly set in 1950s Texas, capture the memory of a man (Sean Penn) in present-day New York who looks back on his life, and his parents’ (Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain) troubled marriage, when word of his younger brother’s suicide reaches him. Almost indescribable beyond that, except to say no other film in history so perfectly evokes the magic and mystery of the human memory, which both crystalizes (and sometimes idealizes) the past. Like Stanley Kubrick’s 2001, this is a challenging, polarizing work that you must let wash over you. If you go along for the ride, you’re in for a unique, rewarding cinematic experience. Also available on Blu-ray disc.
