Nothing Major Really.
nickzapapp20 June 2020
This episode had a bit of Jane and Kurt being uber annoying and finishing each others lines, (feels kinda common this season, maybe because Reade is not there for team equality, I miss Reade, there most certainly feels like there is an empty spot with the team).

Ice Cream was funny, as are rich and patterson (stars of the show) zapata is good too.

I kinda felt that Richard was back and nothing happened with him, why is he back? two scenes really?

Where is Madeline the main bad guy? it's been three episodes without her.

Matthew and Afreen nothing happened either I guess. The next few episodes look more exciting though. I am excited to see where the zip plot goes, as zip is the core of the show.

One of the more fun episodes

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the more fun ones. The plot is plot is pretty fantastic, but still entertainin.

Although Ice Cream feels a little too reminiscent of Rich Dotcom and Sho Atkar in terms of comedy, he was still fun. Rich continues to be great with the jokes.

The death of Burke's rival felt like the writers were trying too hard with the darkness, especially after the death of the FBI lady. Especially feels nihilistic after the team saved the rival a few episodes back. Too be honest, Madeline's over-the-top never-ending evil machinations have become exhausting.

Continues To Be Incredibly Weak
I'm watching the death throes of Blindspot only out of some misplaced sense of loyalty to the fine show it was in its first couple of years. My guess is that if not for the pandemic crippling production of other shows, these final Blindspot episodes would never have aired. Fire & Brimstone continues the slide. It is played mostly for laughs now, with all the characters increasingly cartoonish. I mean, really, are we supposed to believe that the Director of the FBI, Weitz, is such a sniveling idiot, and no one seems to notice, or care, that he is a virtual captive of Madeline Burke? It bursts all bounds of credulity. Sigh... Four more to go.

Another Schnitzeljagd

Warning: Spoilers
The team encounters a former acquaintance and gets easily disarmed and that alone is annoying. Whenever it's suitable for the plot the team is either super-SWAT-level or braindead.

The ensuing scavenger hunt is again full of insolvable riddles that get solved easily ... and why though? Why would that art guy create such riddles in case of his death in the first place?

Also: Madeline is just getting ridiculously evil at this point.

Is this relevant to the plot? No. Can the episode be skipped easily? Yes.

Are we just killing people now?

Warning: Spoilers
Kurt just instantly kills Irving and no one even comments on that, or raises an eyebrow? Where's that moral high ground when they strongly refused to kill Rafael Pierce (the torturer) in Season 5 Episode 1?

I just really don't understand why Kurt gets a pass. Kurt and Jane, they somehow always get a pass.

The episode overall was better than the previous one because at this point we're so bored with the Madeline storyline.
