Awesome episode

So many questions are answered in the epsiode and the full plot is revealed, I love the boys all being back together on a mission, and Lamplighter is a great addition to this season.

They really did a great job with Frenchie this epsiode since he hasn't done much this season he really shines here.

Can't wait for the final 2 episodes!

This episode was awesome. We got great character development for Frenchie, and the action scenes were amazing. We also get a hilarious moment with the deep, and a pretty devastating moment with Queen Maeve.

My personal highlights: All the scenes in Sage Grove were awesome "I'm gonna go run some lines with Black Noir" Butcher and Starlight bonding over Hughie The love sausage The queen maeve/elena scene was devastating Lamplighters costume was hysterical. The A-Train rap over the credits was amazing

Overall one of my favorite episodes of the show, a fun and thrilling hour of television.

It's like old Nazi germany is petting the USA for being a good boy. Sick writing but even more so sick acting from all the actors. I hope that the last 2 episodes will deliver like this one did.

More big secrets being revealed in an amazing, bloody violent episode. You still get the feeling that these episodes are leading up to something huge which will be revealed in the very last episode of the season. Seriously can't wait another two weeks.

Pretty much everything you'd want from The Boys
maxglen25 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Sex, violence and a lot of important character and story beats. Lamplighter is a far more interesting character than I first assumed and Frenchie is given more depth. Stormfront lets in on her secret and we spend a day at the Supe Asylum. Also, A-Train's song in the credits is hilariously corporate. A decent 9/10

My first time writing a review! Watched the episode as soon as it was up! This is a great setup episode for the next 2 and there is something big brewing.. Frenchi's character development and Lamplighter's intro are the highlights along with the action sequences.. and couple of things we expect to happen doesn't happen, but keeps us guessing.. overall great episode!

This is the episode for backstories
Q-Man21 December 2020
We get some more insight into Frenchie and all of Stormfront's origin, so it moves the story along. We also finally meet Lamplighter, who, before this, was only mentioned. Also more reveals of what Vought is doing, and it ain't nice. So the stories are be more fully developed and the evil characters are even more sinister than we knew before. You never really know where the series is going, which keeps it interesting.

Getting interesting
Azamtus26 September 2020
Season 2 is bit slow than season 1 , feels like more character development in season 2 than season 1 . this episode indicates its starting to get interesting for upcoming 2 episodes . This episode was good but not amazing .

Repetitive Theme in Storylines
prabhupathbreaker26 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The Boys go on a mission to find something that can be used against superheroes. They find out a particular plot reveal, confront the antagonist only to be saved by somebody/some black mail at the end- only to reveal some other irrelevant plot details. The last 3 to 4 episodes carry a similar line of narration. There are no stakes in standoff between boys and superheroes. What's stopping black noir to rip someone before they even want to talk? What's stopping homelander to laser any rats in seven? The Boys lost its fuel - the season 2 at its end and the after effects of season 1 are rarely explored. How come the wanted guys roam around as if their movements are not on the radar? Trying to cram different arcs only leads to a convulated mess. Was expecting better and real stakes which is only absent.

Talent
tristan_1925 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
As Homelander said to Stan Edgar, there will always be talent and the display of talent at Sage Grove was incredible.

Glad to see some character development for Frenchie, Lamplighter and Grace...

Finally, it was really satisfying to finally see Butcher and Starlight working together and their dynamic on screen is really interesting. I hope Butcher will be able to respect Annie, now that she helped him saving Hughie.

Just Wow
kenny-lopez25825 September 2020
No other way to put how I felt after watching this episode. I promise this season has lived up to the hype following season 1. I would've already binged this series in a day if I didn't have to wait a week.

Just wow
feenestron27 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I rated two previous episodes of 3-4 stars and honestly afraid that this will be another show with perfect first season and then just "meh". Thanks god it is not true so far. This single episode bring it back to life. Perfect action finally and moreover - this is how characters should be developed! Great play from all, really - every single person in episode was outstanding. Just wow. Made my next week, indeed.

PS. This moment from "The cabin in the woods" with opening doors and monsters going out - oh, my god.

Maeve and Deep working together to take down Homelander

Starlight and Butcher get to know each other a little bit.

Frenchie realized he didn't need to save Kimiko

A backstory about Lamplighter and Frenchie

Stormfront and Homelander come to terms with each other

A supe terrorist is let loose

A dig at stormfront's past that might be the actual plot for this season

a good episode that mostly focus on Frenchie, which is good for the development of the character. The main plot is also revealed. There's humor and action too. can't wait for the next episode.

Fantastic New Episode
BadgerStorm434525 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The Boys is still going strong as ever with new twists and turns that make the characters even more interesting. Stormfront and Frenchie get more of their backstories explained which is always great, and we get introduced to Lamplighter, the Superhero who killed Mallory's Grand Children. This episode also explores Butcher and Annie's dynamic more.

Love the characters and the story, hate the editting!
gwyckoff29 September 2020
I continue to be really annoyed by the choppy storytelling in this second season. Its fine to have have six or seven storylines given that many are interconnected, but there is no need to intercut them so closely that we only get a few minutes of each at a time. I watched this episode a second and then a third time hoping that the choppiness would be less annoying if I already knew the story. It didn't help; I still had to fight not to switch it off in annoyance after each cut.

Suppose, for example, they told the whole Frenchie flashback at the very beginning, thus giving a clear basis for the encounter later in the episode. Instead the flashback is intercut with the real-time events, draining the momentum from both

Hospital fight was pretty good, the rest is just melodramatic crap
MisterKino27 September 2020
I miss when this show was filled with satire and had an actual point/storyline. Now it's basically just like any other CW show. Unless we get a really good finale, I'm just gonna pretend it stopped at season 1.

... for that role is really hilarious! :-) However, the season is (so far) not as good as the first one, but still good entertainment.

Fresca Is The Best
wandernn1-81-68327411 August 2021
Oh dear. Stormfront is highly manipulative of Homelander and boy don't they make the cutest evil couple.

Starlight visits with Hugh and Billy to give them info on Vought and Stormfront.

Fresca is passed around freely and universally accepted as the best SODA of all time.

Wow what a great episode. I think this one gets the full 10/10.
