    Clark Kent : [still on his knees]  I love you too

  • Lana Lang : [Lana is looking at her old necklace as Clark comes in and sees her]  I can't believe you kept this after all the pain it caused you

    Clark Kent : I would never throw away something so important to me

    Clark Kent : I remember you wearing this in high school, I could never look at you without falling over

    Lana Lang : Even after the chip got rid of all the Kryptonite, there was still some left, I talked to Dr Groul it wasn't the chip, it was me

    Clark Kent : So as well as strength and speed, you can also destroy Kryptonite?

    Lana Lang : No, Dr Groul said I absorbed it, Lex designed this as a weapon, what if he was targeting you?

    Clark Kent : Lex doesn't have it, you do

  • Lex Luthor : [voice-over]  Clark Kent and Lana Lang, welcome to your destiny. You've destroyed me in every way, so now I'm going to take away what matters most to you.

    Lana Lang : Lex?

    Lex Luthor : Do you know what people remember about the greatest star-crossed romances? Not how the lovers met, but the way the relationship tragically ended. The skin Lana's wearing was designed to absorb enough meteor rock that you'll never be able to go near her again.

    Clark Kent : You're a coward, Lex. Come out here. Face us!

  • Lana Lang : I know how much it hurts right now, Clark, but if you go after Lex like this, you *will* kill him.

    Clark Kent : After what he's done to us, Lana, he needs to be stopped.

    Lana Lang : I promise you... I will help you to punish Lex. But if you kill him, you will lose so much more than just us being together. Clark... you'll lose *yourself*.

  • Lana Lang : Do you have any idea who could've done this?

    Oliver Queen : An angry shareholder maybe, he decided to attack the same day I took over Luthor Corp

    Lana Lang : It's obvious who's behind this

    Clark Kent : Lex

    Oliver Queen : Y'know Lana I thought you'd be the first person Lex wanted to kill, you got under his skin the most or in it, that bio chem. you're commandeering was his lifeline, his last chance at recovery

  • Clark Kent : [surprised to see Chloe on Oliver's jet]  Chloe. What are you doing here?

    Chloe Sullivan : You know Oliver. Even the blast of a bomb won't rattle his work ethic. He asked me to come in and pull some of the files from the LuthorCorp deal.

    Clark Kent : That's funny. Because I would think that Queen Industries could free up at least one employee to run his errands for him.

    Chloe Sullivan : Yeah, well, I'm not exactly a Brinks security truck, but Oliver knows he can trust me.

    Clark Kent : I thought I could, too. You're chasing down a lead on the bombing for him, aren't you?

  • Clark Kent : Lana told me about Oliver's vendetta against Lex, that's why he's tracking him, why are you?

    Chloe Sullivan : Because I don't want to lose you, Lex knows meteor rocks are poisonous to Kryptonians, he knows your weakness!

    Clark Kent : I've decided to use my abilities to help people

    Chloe Sullivan : You don't get it, Lex declared war on you years ago; he's known your secret for months, why aren't you doing anything about this!

    Clark Kent : I'm trying not to live in the past

    Chloe Sullivan : That's exactly what you're doing, you think Lex is that same person you saved on the bridge 8 years ago, you don't see the monster he is underneath

    Clark Kent : I'm not going to kill anyone and I'm in denial, when you were taken over by Brainiac, you could've destroyed the world and I refused to kill you!

  • Clark Kent : [after Lana finds a shard inside the destroyed LutherCorp containing kryptonite with the Queen Industries logo on the back]  Why would he hide anything from me?

    Lana Lang : He's done it before, Clark. When I tracked Lex to Cuba, Oliver showed up. He was there to kill Lex.

    Clark Kent : Why didn't you tell me about this?

    Lana Lang : I thought that I'd talked him down, but obviously he still has his own agenda. I think that you should show him the chip and give him a chance to explain.

    Clark Kent : No, we can't trust him anymore. If he's so obsessed with killing Lex that he went behind my back, I don't want to pull him in any deeper.

  • Lana Lang : [breaking the bed while having sex]  Please tell me that the bed was already wobbly.

    Clark Kent : Lana, it's made of solid oak.

    Lana Lang : [laughing]  Oh, god.

    [she hides under the covers] 

    Clark Kent : [joining her]  What do you say we find out how strong the floor is?

  • Lana Lang : Clark, are you okay?

    Clark Kent : There's kryponite.

    Lana Lang : [finding a bomb fragment]  Looks like this silver shard was part of the bomb. But why would they use meteor rock?

    Clark Kent : It's not the first time it's been used to make a bomb more powerful.

    Lana Lang : [touching the chip, she absorbs the kryptonite]  Whoa. What was that?

    Clark Kent : Whatever it was, Lana, I don't feel the kryptonite anymore.

    Lana Lang : Maybe it was treated with something that lost its charge when I moved the chip.

    Clark Kent : [seeing a "Q" logo on the chip]  Queen Industries.

  • Lana Lang : Clark, I think that Oliver knows more than he's saying.

    Clark Kent : Lana, it's a big company. They make thousands of chips a year. Why would you think Oliver would be responsible?

    Lana Lang : I don't, but doesn't it seem like he's covering something?
