While Luke, Leia, and Han Solo became fan favorites, the deaths of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader in the original trilogy moved fans because of their affection for the characters.

As a result, it must have been difficult for Lucas to pick the one death scene from the originals he regretted the most. However, according to Lucas’ statement, he failed to properly address the death of beloved bounty hunter Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy. Here is why Lucas felt he dropped the ball with Boba Fett’s death and what he would have done differently in retrospect.

Star Wars has always had some of the most iconic characters of all time. From Darth Vader to Kylo Ren and General Palpatine, there has been a wide range of characters who perfectly contrast the heroes standing before them. Whether it is in front of Luke Skywalker or anyone else, their twisted mirror images become more and more interesting to watch as the franchise progresses.

Out of the many "Star Wars" shows that have come out of the Disney era, "Obi-Wan Kenobi" is arguably the weirdest. Like "The Book of Boba Fett," it is a show about one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise, which brings back beloved actors, and promises to answer some questions fans had wondered about for years in regards to Kenobi's actions and whereabouts before meeting Luke Skywalker. Our own Ethan Anderton called this an unnecessary prequel in his review, but acknowledged that it's also "a thrilling new adventure that adds enticing emotional layers to the Jedi Master's story."
The show depicts Obi-Wan Kenobi hiding from his guilt over what happened to Anakin, from the ghosts of all his dead friends, and from the dangers of the Empire. Before Kenobi reclaimed his connection to the Force, he was just a sad hermit living in the desert. But we...

Genndy Tartakovsky's "Clone Wars" is one of the best things to ever happen to "Star Wars." The micro-series gave us a vision of the Jedi as they saw themselves; as people thought the Jedi were; the version of the Jedi a young Anakin had in mind when he first met Qui-Gon Jinn — superhuman, invincible, god-like. Even 20 years later, there's nothing quite like it.
One of the best things the show did was bring the character of Durge over from the comics to the animated series. Durge is an alien bounty hunter with regenerative powers who fights Obi-Wan in one of the best episodes of "Clone Wars," an episode full of body horror and even a sequence inspired by anime masterpiece "Akira."
It's a shame that neither the character nor the show are considered canon by Lucasfilm and Disney.

The Star Wars universe is one of the largest fictional universes in existence. George Lucas’ original movie idea has since expanded and become a vast universe with thousands, if not millions, of stories. Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian became a major addition to the lore which expanded the cinematic universe and the story of Star Wars. It became a major hit and – undoubtedly – the most acclaimed Star Wars work in the Disney era. After three seasons and several crossovers, it was officially confirmed that the series would be continued in the form of a movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu, which now has an official release date – May 22, 2026.

Willimon is a playwright and screenwriter best known for developing House of Cards for Netflix, but he also has some Star Wars experience as he worked on the first season of Andor, writing three episodes of the critically acclaimed series. A theory about Baby Yoda suggests a potentially heartbreaking destiny for him ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Grogu’s surprising introduction in The Mandalorian, commonly known as Baby Yoda, took fans by storm. His mysterious origins and significance have continued to intrigue Star Wars enthusiasts throughout the show’s two seasons. As viewers explore Grogu’s backstory further, they speculate about his role in both the series’ storyline and the broader Star Wars universe. A fan theory from Reddit suggests that Grogu, also known as “The Child,” is part of a longstanding cycle where a child grows up to save the Chosen One from falling into darkness.
Speculation arises from the saviour cycle theory, suggesting that Ahsoka Tano could have trained Grogu to eventually mentor a new Chosen One in a later phase of the Star Wars timeline, especially considering her appearance in The Mandalorian’s second season. This theory implies that...

The first trailer for Star Wars: The Acolyte dropped earlier this week, and according to Lucasfilm, it actually broke a major record, besting every trailer for The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka, but unfortunately, it also racked up quite a few dislikes on YouTube.
“The trailer for The Acolyte garnered 51.3 million views in its first 24 hours,” reads the Lucasfilm announcement. “This is a new digital-only record for any Lucasfilm Disney+ series, surpassing every trailer for The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka. We’re grateful for your support, and can’t wait for you to experience the series.“
As I write this, The Acolyte trailer has 166k likes on YouTube, but it also has over 365k dislikes. Yikes. A portion of these dislikes could be down to review bombing, but the trailer did receive a rather mixed response upon release.

Oppenheimer was a massive success and a new milestone for filmmaking, from the cast and crew and everyone else who contributed during the production was a recipe for Oscar nominations, and wins but one aspect of any film or television that elevates the story is music and composer Ludwig Göransson deserved the win but upset the gaming community in the process.
Göransson also composed the score for other great films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even won an Oscar for Black Panther, he later worked on the sequel: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and scored the first two Creed films and his first project with the legendary visionary Christopher Nolan was Tenet, as well for the Star Wars series on Disney+ The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The talent he possesses is monumental, however the gaming community was offended by his recent victory speech.

Remember when we first met Din Djarin? He swaggers into that cantina in the first episode of The Mandalorian, takes down a few ruffians, and flies off with his quarry. No mess, no pomp, no big deal.
Those days now seem long gone, as what started out as a smaller-scale Western set in the world of Star Wars, between the Original and Sequel Trilogies, has now become the hope for the future of the franchise on the big screen. The characters will now be the focus of the next Star Wars movie. Directed by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian & Grogu is currently expected to release in 2026. Does this mean we won’t be seeing the beloved duo on screen at all until then? Or will a potential season 4 of the show bridge the gap on Disney+? It’s a question that has eluded Star Wars fans since the film project was first announced.

The upcoming Karate Kid film is continuing to ready its cinematic crane-kick, gathering more cast members as it prepares to get in front of cameras. The film, due out before the end of the year, will see Sony enter the Karate-verse, uniting original star Ralph Macchio as Daniel Larusso with Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han, from the 2010 remake. Following the news that American Born Chinese star Ben Wang will be the one waxing on (and waxing off) in the leading role, there’s another addition to roster: Ming-Na Wen.
According to Variety, Wen has joined the film in an undisclosed role. But given her action-heavy turn as Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian and The Book Of Boba Fett – not to mention kicking ass in Agents Of Shield, and Mulan – you’d hope she’ll be getting into the karate combat here. Ever since "Star Wars" introduced the Black Series line of action figures, I've mostly left the traditional 3.75-inch figures, in what is now called the Vintage Collection, behind. While those figures are cheaper and fit in with the original roster of "Star Wars" toys a bit better, there's just something a little more appealing about 6-inch figures with more detail. That also means missing out on one of the coolest aspects of the Vintage Collection, which are the "Star Wars" vehicles scaled to the smaller figures. Sure, there have been a handful of vehicles scaled to the Black Series, including a huge Tie Fighter from "The Force Awakens," but the Vintage Collection is where the best vehicles can be found, and the latest comes from "The Mandalorian."

Bob Iger’s comments seem to indicate that The Mandalorian & Grogu will fill that first slot, but as this is Star Wars we’re talking about, anything could happen. We’ve seen more than a few release dates shuffled around.

It is difficult in this era of disposable media to explain the feverish degree of anticipation that built up over the year prior to the release of "Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back." Its predecessor completely altered the way Hollywood approached the making and marketing of movies, and, particularly for youngsters, turned the act of moviegoing into the sensation-seeking equivalent of lining up to ride a killer rollercoaster over and over again.
And when the first "Star Wars" left theaters, it was gone. No home video. No cable. Aside from a 1979 re-release, there were whole months when fans couldn't revisit that galaxy far, far away. So when fans were fortunate enough to see it again theatrically, they savored every second and obsessed on every detail — particularly with the Mos Eisley cantina sequence. Who were all these freaky looking creatures?...

How many acting legends get the chance to bring a single character to life that goes on to define their entire career ... let alone multiple ones? We were blessed to be alive at the same time that Carl Weathers was doing his thing as Apollo Creed in the "Rocky" franchise, the doomed CIA agent Al Dillon in "Predator," and most recently the helpful ally and magistrate Greef Karga in "The Mandalorian." Sadly, he will no longer add to his unbelievable list of credits as the news broke that Weathers has passed away at the age of 76. But as much as the acting icon made the absolute most of his time on Earth, there is at least one dream job of his that will now forever remain unfulfilled.
The best part about Carl Weathers' casting throughout his appearances on "The Mandalorian" was that we could genuinely tell that it wasn't merely a paycheck gig for him.

Boba Fett is, inarguably, one of the most beloved characters in "Star Wars" history. That's no small thing, given that the franchise also includes half a dozen (or more) pop culture icons. Perplexingly, the fan-favorite bounty hunter had very little screen time in the original trilogy and didn't have a solo project until "The Book of Boba Fett" arrived in 2022. For years, it was one of the finest examples of "less is more" ever committed to film. The man under the helmet was Jeremy Bulloch, and the actor will forever be tied to that role. And, as it just so happens, Bulloch kind of just lucked his way into the role.
Bulloch did a Reddit Ama back in 2014. At one point, a fan asked the actor how the role of Boba Fett was pitched to him. Indeed, the actor appeared as Fett in "The Empire Strikes Back," but it's not...

It’s safe to say no one knows what the heck is going on with The Mandalorian season 4 now that Lucasfilm has announced a feature-length movie starring the beloved duo and directed by showrunner Jon Favreau. Has the fourth season of the show been replaced by the film? Not according to Deadline, which reports The Mandalorian season 4 is still in development in addition to the movie. With the film being fast-tracked into production this year, does this mean season 4 has been delayed until further notice? Or will it be filmed at some point this year as well?
Well, according to reports from reliable Star Wars scoopers Bespin Bulletin and Making Star Wars, The Mandalorian season 4 is indeed still a go, but the rumor is that Disney’s plan is for a fourth season to release ahead of the movie. But instead of the normal eight-episode season, season 4 would be only six episodes,...

Their adventures are a hit on TV, so will the newly announced feature film revive the flagging fortunes of the big-screen franchise? And just as importantly, will it finally take us to Yoda’s home planet?
Everybody needs an easy win from time to time. A choice decision that simply can’t go wrong, seems obviously right to everyone on the planet and requires little effort to put in place. Bringing The Mandalorian and Grogu, Aka The Child, Aka Baby Yoda, to the big screen might be the easiest win for Disney since Darth Vader dispensed with Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original 1977 Star Wars.
If the news, announced this week, comes as a shock, it’s only because we were already expecting to see the armoured space warrior and his oh-so-cute force-wielding adoptive son in multiplexes in Dave Filoni’s earlier announced film, which it’s thought will unite the...
