It doesn't really improve.

Jade tries to get some help, and also tries to escape the clutches of The Umbrella Corporation.

If you enjoyed episode one, then you'll probably be into this. For me, it was a slog once again.

Very similar to episode one, the same format, cutting in and out of present-day and past, but the same pacing issues. The story was a little more interesting, just imagine episode one without the action.

Evelyn Marcus has to be the most irritating character of 2022, she's exactly the person at the top that I was expecting, wonderfully obvious.

Hard work, 4/10.

It got a little better but

You know it's 14 years since the start of the virus and how to all the stupid people to survive to get killed at this point. The acting is not that great. But so is the buget. It's good graphics but it's become cheap to make graphics. It on ward to number 3.

It Is Like A CW Show With A Budget
gbarrett-3994117 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The teen drama stuff is expected but not particularly well done. The visuals are nice and are more realistic thank some of the other Netflix zombie offerings. The time jumps really make no sense. The story is overly complicated, but too simple and underdeveloped at the same time. The jokes are a bit flat and I never was ever able to get invested in the protagonist. If you don't have anything else to watch it could be fine, but otherwise it is a bit underwhelming.

when writers expect us to accept all their irrational nonsense?
grayworker15 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Let's see? A huge slow-mo jump with no consequences, check. Both are 14 year survivors of an apocalypse but sure, let's stop under an overpass with broken grate bars that make no sense and be completely oblivious to the surroundings or noises from ninja zombies, check. Super-secret facility that has dad come to the rescue w/o his card. Sentient AI security completely ignoring events going on with super infectious blood on everything and everyone that everyone ignores including dad who's head of the whole shebang, check. Apocalypse town with only functioning AND somehow fueled jeep and she just walks away, doesn't lock anything up, hire a guard, or just park it hidden on the outskirts somewhere? Check. Disappointed with the lack of common-sense just for plot movement.

Trash

It gets worse from episode to episode. Every once in a while there's a cool concept, scene, etc. Overall, it's an annoying show with an insufferable main character. I hate Jade with every ounce of my being.

Worst adaption of resident evil you could imagine
jonas_opitz21 July 2022
Lots of the plot doesn't make sense. E.g. Umbrella apparently has no security guards at nights in their facilites while working on the T-Virus which was known to cause lots of troubles 14 years ago...

nothing to be said of the acting. I think the Actors cant be blamed for a bad script....

if it was possible to give 0/10 i totally would.

Mean Girls or Resident Evil?
mzand-751-53957218 July 2022
Show about Zombies ruined by too many angsty teen girls. Now, if said Zombies ATE all those teenage girls, we'd have something here.

Clearly Netflix has given up taking creative risks and is now making shows based on demographics and analytics. It will not serve them well in the long run.

It gets better
znelson74-698-76223915 July 2022
Really like the flow. The back and forth before "the end" and after. It's not a quick bite, and then zombie. Slow build, more character development and overall a different take on the resident evil we know.

Aimless
Calicodreamin16 July 2022
The series is very aimless, you don't feel invested in the past or presence and it feels like things just happen at random. Acting is bland and the characters lack depth.

A mistake that makes me angry
dax-87-75705321 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have cats or better, I serve cats. And everyone knows that you can identify every cat you have. So when you don't know which cat you have, then it's not YOUR cat.

Cats as food for a Zombie?(never a good person would do) You must hate cats then. And cats wouldn't stay there.

A factor that they missed. And I can't forgive.

Also everyone knows Vegan are militants. And this story, the Vegan they are responsible for the Apokalypse. Then I forgive them a little, for that.

The story could to much reality contain...

More poor writing but...
jamosmonk19 July 2022
Keep in mind the show is an allegory for society today. How a few people can unilaterally make seriously damaging and foolish decisions by ignoring actual science, biology and human knowledge, resulting in the harm to all of society in significant ways all the while they suffer no real consequences for it. It can start by ignoring simple biology. The T virus and people can claim it's really always been a vaccine and even possibly change its superficial physical characteristics but that does not make it become a vaccine. Meanwhile, scientists being irrationally foolish and telling people that the T virus wants to now be considered a vaccine and treated like a vaccine and dispersed into the public will do nothing but harm the public if it is allowed to do so. Common sense is all that is needed.
