Paging Don Johson! Report to the set of Ryan Murphy’s new ABC drama series, Dr. Odyssey, to join Joshua Jackson on a medical emergency! That’s right, patients. Don Johnson is scrubbing up for Murphy’s mysterious new project, Dr. Odyssey, which could be a medical procedural. The 20th Century Studios series targets a fall launch, with Ryan Murphy Television leading the charge.
While details about the show remain a mystery, reports indicate it’s a medical procedural aboard a cruise ship. If we know Murphy, there’s more than ship-wide food poisoning on the menu. Details about Johnson’s character remain unknown.
Murphy will write Dr. Odyssey and executive produce with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. Paris Barclay directs and executive produces Dr. Odyssey. Eric Paquette, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Nissa Diederich also executive produce alongside Jackson.

Ginuwine wasn’t sure he wanted to be on “The Masked Singer” when it first came calling. But the “Pony” artist ultimately couldn’t resist. “At first I said no, because I’m pretty much a loner type dude, I don’t like to be out in public like that a lot,” he told Variety. “But after a little bit of talking, I ended up saying yes. Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 10, Episode 6 of “The Masked Singer,” “Harry Potter Night,” which aired Oct. 25 on Fox.
The timing couldn’t have been better: With Halloween approaching, it was a spooky “Harry Potter”-themed episode of “The Masked Singer” this week, so it was only appropriate that “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey would be the next celebrity to be unmasked in Season 10.
Posey was revealed to be Hawk, after this week performing “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” by The Police. “I have this checklist of random weird things that you only get to experience once in a lifetime,” Posey told Variety. “And this fit right in with that. This is just a fun, interesting, random, bizarre experience that I was just completely down to do. It’s also challenging. I’ve always been sort of awkward when it comes to choreographed dancing.

“The Masked Singer” goes whole Hogwarts on this week’s episode with a “Harry Potter” theme, and Variety has a first look. On the “Harry Potter Night,” tied to Halloween (of course), a new costumed Wildcard celebrity joins the competition: The Sea Queen. Below, panelist Ken Jeong — dressed as “Harry Potter” character Professor Snape — attempts to figure out Sea Queen’s identity.
The October 25 episode, which airs as usual at 8 p.m. Et on Fox, follows each contestant — Sea Queen, Hawk, Husky and Tiki — as they are assigned a Hogwarts house from the Sorting Hat. Each contestant will then perform a song in theme with the week’s episode, like “Love Potion No. 9” and “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.”
Also guest starring on the episode: Adrienne Bailon-Houghton (Flamingo from Season 2), who opens the show with a performance of “I Put a Spell On You.”

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 10, Episode 5 of “The Masked Singer,” “A Celebration of Elton John,” which aired Oct. 18 on Fox.
Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote the track “Philadelphia Freedom” in 1975 at the behest of tennis icon Billie Jean King (whose team was the Philadelphia Freedoms). So, it was wildly appropriate that King performed the song on Wednesday during “A Celebration of Elton John” on Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”
King performed “Philadelphia Freedom” as the Royal Hen — and the fact that we know she was on the show means that, alas, she was also the next celebrity to be unmasked on “Singer.”
“A true trail blazer, she is famous for championing equal opportunities for all, and has made it her royal mission to be a voice for the voiceless,” a “Masked Singer” voiceover shared in giving the hints to whom the Royal Hen might be.

As “The Masked Singer” panelist Nicole Scherzinger returns to London’s West End this month, starring as Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, the show has found a suitable substitute: Singer/songwriter Rita Ora. Ora, who is no stranger to the format as a panelist for “The Masked Singer UK,” will take the U.S. “Masked Singer” panelist chair alongside Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg and Robin Thicke throughout Season 11, now shooting (and set to air in midseason).

“The Masked Singer” kicked off its 10th season on Sunday night with a special episode — and a lotta Lovato. Demi Lovato as “Anonymouse” was the first celebrity unmasked this season — although there’s an asterisk there. Lovato didn’t appear as part of the competition (otherwise they absolutely would have continued into future weeks), but as a one-off.
Lovato, of course, got their start at Disney — a.k.a. the Mouse House — via the Disney Channel movie “Camp Rock” and series “Sonny with a Chance.” So the “Anonymouse” character itself was most definitely a hint to Lovato’s identity under the mask.

It’s nearly time for the return of “The Masked Singer,” which means it’s time to meet some of this year’s contestants. And TheWrap can exclusively reveal two of them to you now: Hibiscus and S’more.
Yes, S’more is literally a life-sized s’more from a campfire, complete with a Snidely Whiplash-esque mustache, and Hibiscus does look freshly plucked from a garden. You can see the costumes in full in the photos at the bottom of this post.
Ok, you’re back? Great, let’s speculate. Obviously, the gender of the costume doesn’t always match the gender of the singer inside it. You might recall that last season, “Twisted Sister” singer Dee Snider competed in a female doll costume, complete with heels. So, for now at least, there’s no way to even guess at who might be under the flower and fireside snack costumes.

Ryan Murphy’s upcoming Netflix series, The Politician, is eyeing Gwyneth Paltrow and Barbara Streisand for key roles...
Ryan Murphy, never one to be accused of having too few concurrent television projects, has procured a platform for yet another series. This time, Murphy’s work will manifest as an hour-long comedy, called The Politician, which has just landed a comfortable home for itself on Netflix.

The Politician, which had been the centre of a weeklong bidding war amongst streaming outlets such as Amazon and Hulu, will ultimately make its arrival as a Netflix series, reports Deadline. Already the recipient of a two-season straight-to-series order, The Politician is a collaborative creation of Murphy and regular colleagues, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, providing a bit of satirical spin and social commentary through the story of a wealthy Santa Barba-residing, Californian, named Payton, chronicling the character's burgeoning political aspirations.

Take that, Kim Kardashian! Gwyneth Paltrow is fully aware of the jokes surrounding her "conscious uncoupling" from Chris Martin. In fact, she thinks it broke "the f—king Internet." The One Hit Wonders actress joked about the divorce lingo during the Fast Company Innovation Festival in NYC on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman, 38 - who share daughter Apple, 10, and son Moses, 9 - announced in March 2014 that they were "consciously uncoupling" after 10 years of marriage. The term was first developed by [...]...

Way back in the annals of 2012, Ryan Murphy, Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Cameron Diaz got dinner and decided to make a musical film called One Hit Wonders starring the three women as washed-up '90s pop stars who decide to form a supergroup (that doesn't rap). Sony bought the rights to the film, but after Amy Pascal's exit, they've since reverted back to Murphy. THR reports that now he's repackaging it as an anthology series (yes, another one of those), and that he has the first four seasons planned out. For the first season, Gwyneth Paltrow will star (as well as executive-produce) as a broke 40-year-old former singer who gets together with two other one-hit wonders to form a supergroup. Blondes, aging divas, singing, a hot young piece (we imagine): This will combine all of Ryan Murphy's most favorite things!

And we already have our favorite new TV show of 2016! Ryan Murphy and Gwyneth Paltrow are teaming up for a new cable anthology series and it sounds amazing...and familiar. Originally conceived as a film in 2012, the pair have decided to pitch One Hit Wonders as a TV series, which Paltrow will executive produce and star in, and we already want to set a series-record on our DVRs. While the project is in the early stages, Murphy and Paltrow, who first teamed up when the Oscar-winner appeared on Glee, will be pitching the series to cable networks later this year. As originally reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Paltrow will play a 40-year-old one hit wonder who gets a second chance 15 years after...

"Glee" is gone, but not forgotten. The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, is looking to make another musical TV series with "Glee" guest star Gwyneth Paltrow.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is titled "One Hit Wonders," and it originally started out as a movie with Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Cameron Diaz starring as has-been singers who each had a hit single in the '90s and are trying to form a supergroup to stay relevant.
The rights were bought by Sony, but reverted back to Murphy after the exit of studio head Amy Pascal. Now, he's looking to bring it to the small screen as - what else? - an anthology series. Murphy has four seasons already planned; Paltrow would only appear in the first season.
The Goop mogul will play a 40-year-old woman who's "broke, exhausted and the victim of cat-fishing by her roommate." She gets a call...

Back in February, Ryan Murphy went out to dinner with Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Cameron Diaz, and they all decided that it would be fun to make a movie-musical. Lo, One Hit Wonders — about a handful of washed-up nineties musicians who form a pop supergroup — was born. At last night's God's Love We Deliver event, Ryan Murphy told us he's still working on the script, but there is one plot point on which he is decided: M.C. Gwyneth Paltrow and D.J. Jazzy Cameron Diaz (of the infamous Chelsea Handler video) will not be making an appearance. "No rapping. No," he said firmly. And then once more to be clear: "No. It's much more about pop music." Sorry, M.C. Gwyneth!

We’re still a long ways away from indulging in a new season of American Horror Story, but that doesn’t mean we can’t devour every little morsel creator Ryan Murphy drops about it. Vulture has an excellent interview with the busy showrunner who is currently developing two feature-films, The Normal Heart and the A-list musical, One Hit Wonders. Murphy is doing this while juggling three television shows: Glee on Fox, American Horror Story on FX, and his promising new family comedy, The New Normal, which was ordered to series at the NBC Upfronts earlier this month.
In the interview, Murphy peeled back the tinfoil on the roast he’s cooking up for Season 2 of Ahs. He reiterated that it centers around Jessica Lange’s new character who is running an institution for the criminally insane. He revealed that Chloë Sevigny (Big Love) will join the cast. The first...

Ryan Murphy has never been known for keeping his schedule light. In addition to running Glee and American Horror Story, planning to direct a feature-film adaptation of Larry Kramer's AIDS drama The Normal Heart, and writing the all-star musical One Hit Wonders for pal Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Cameron Diaz, he now will also run The New Normal, a new NBC comedy premiering this fall about a gay couple who decide they want to start a family. The show stars The Book of Mormon's Andrew Rannells and The Hangover's Justin Bartha alongside Ellen Barkin, who plays the bigoted, ultraconservative grandmother of their surrogate. Somehow, in the midst of all that, he found time to sit down with us for a Vulture Transcript, an in-depth conversation covering everything from the "hard road" of making Glee (which concludes tonight) and his plans for next season, to details of the next,...

Jay-z sat courtside at the Nets game in New Jersey last night. He had a prime seat for an exciting matchup that ended with the Nets beating the La Clippers by just one point. Jay-z was solo for the evening of basketball, though he did have wife Beyoncé Knowles by his side at a game just last month. The new parents have been slowly stepping out with their daughter Blue Ivy, including a lunch date at Sant Ambroeus last week. Jay-z will take some time off from daddy duty next Monday, when he's scheduled to perform at SXSW. Beyoncé is also getting back to work after giving birth, since she's reportedly starring in One Hit Wonders, a movie musical by Glee creator Ryan Murphy, alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Cameron Diaz.
