John Wick has infiltrated the world of video games and television, and now it’s time to conquer the pinball world. Lionsgate has teamed with Stern Pinball (the same folks behind the Jaws pinball machine) to release a new series of pinball machines inspired by the series of films.
Available now at retailers in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition models, players will step into the role of the world’s greatest assassin as he fights to escape his past. As the titular character, players can engage in high-speed car chases and fast-action drifting across the playfield, which incorporates models and artwork inspired by iconic locations from the franchise, including the New York Continental Hotel and the Red Circle Club.
Players can also open John Wick’s weapons crate to reveal a hidden shot target path to retrieve an array of weapons. You must use the sculpted Blood Oath Marker carefully – or risk the consequences.

Ghost Rider is one of the most popular Marvel characters fans have been clamoring to see in the MCU. However, fans have also debated over who should be the actor playing the Spirit of Vengeance on the big screen. While many believe that actor Keanu Reeves is the best fit for the part, another actor makes an equally worthy candidate.
Keanu Reeves has been a fan-favorite to play MCU’s Ghost Rider.
In the past, The Walking Dead-fame actor Norman Reedus publicly voiced his desire to play the role of Ghost Rider in the MCU. Given Reedus’ filmography and public persona, there is an argument to be made for him probably being better suited for the MCU’s version of Ghost Rider. Here is why Norman Reedus might be a better pick for Ghost Rider in the MCU.

Thirty years on, stars Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves have said they’d be interested in making Speed 3. “We’d knock it out of the park,” Bullock enthused.
It’s almost exactly 30 years since director Jan de Bont made the corking action thriller Speed – better known to Homer Simpson as The Bus That Couldn’t Slow Down. All these decades later, the film’s co-stars, Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, have expressed their interest in making a third film – though the way they talk about the prospect suggests they may not be entirely serious.
The pair briefly talked about a possible Speed 3 on the 50Mph podcast, as picked up by The Hollywood Reporter. Bullock immediately sounded keen on the idea, saying, “We’d freakin’ knock it out of the park.”
Reeves concurred. “It does feel like there’s a siren call to it,” he said, “like there’s something that wasn’t done.

David Leitch began his career in movies as a stunt performer and stunt coordinator after arriving in LA in the 1990s. From here, he was a stunt double for the likes of Brad Pitt and Matt Damon. His work on an array of top tier movies allowed him to hone his craft behind the scenes before stepping into the director’s chair. Leitch’s first foray into directing came with the action-packed film John Wick, which he co-directed alongside fellow stunt performer Chad Stahelski. While Leitch was not credited for his work on the film, he proved his directorial chops and set

The ‘90s were a glorious time. That may be a bit of a generalization, but for the purposes of reflecting on the power of Hollywood at the time and its willingness to back mid-budget, practical action films, we’re choosing to cast a halcyon glow over the era. One of the standout films from this genre and time period is “Speed,” which celebrates its 30th anniversary next month. In honor of this milestone, Kris Tapley recently spoke with the film’s stars, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, for his “50 Mph” podcast dedicated to excavating “Speed” lore.
“I just remember a vehicle full of really kind and fun people,” said Bullock in reflecting on the making of the film. Commenting on its success — grossing 10 times its budget, winning two Oscars, and becoming regarded as one of the best action films of all time — Bullock added, “It was unexpected. Slick, visceral kineticism and mind-blowingly impressive gun-fu are integral to every fight John Wick (Keanu Reeves) gets involved with. Throughout the four "John Wick" films, dynamism has been the name of the game in terms of one-upping fight scenes, where everything from cars, pencils, explosives, and even stairs have been incorporated to keep the adrenaline flowing. In "John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum," John is the definition of a marked man, hounded by every assassin across the globe after breaking the rules, and he stumbles into a weapons shop with cramped rooms. Guys rock! Who doesn't love guys? Whether they're free or falling, guys really have a lot to offer. The latest guy movie on the scene is "The Fall Guy," starring Ryan Gosling as the titular guy: a professional stunt guy who accidentally becomes targeted by a bunch of criminal guys. The film was directed by David Leitch, who has previously directed other guys in movies like "John Wick," "Deadpool 2," and "Bullet Train."
After grossing $10.4 million on its opening day, including $3.15 million from Thursday previews, "The Fall Guy" is now on track to gross around $28 million in its opening weekend (per Variety). That puts it on par with another recent guy movie, "Free Guy," which starred Ryan Gosling's fellow Ryan (and fellow guy), Ryan Reynolds. "Free Guy" grossed $28.3 million upon its release in 2021 and went on to make $331 million worldwide -- a modest success against its $100-125 million budget.

At a pre-release screening, "The Fall Guy" director David Leitch and star Ryan Gosling greeted the audience by not only thanking them for attending (and playfully encouraging them to stay off their phones) but clarifying that the ensuing film — inspired by the 1980s TV series starring Lee Majors — is a love letter to the stunt community. That much would be true even if the film's end credits didn't include a lengthy montage of the making of some of the stunts that occur within the story. Leitch has a long history in the stunt community, having worked on everything from "John Wick" to "Deadpool 2" and "Ocean's Eleven." It's one thing, of course, to say that you've made a movie that's a love letter to stunts but it's another to actually pull off jaw-dropping stunt sequences. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not what it used to be. Although the statements might be hurtful, there have never been so many delays in a Marvel film before as Mahershala Ali’s upcoming MCU film Blade.
It’s not just about the infinite delays though, it feels as if the MCU has dropped its standards after the events of Avengers: Endgame. With people getting hurt by these Marvel updates, fans are not liking the news of Mahershala Ali’s delayed film!

Marvel And Mahershala Ali’s Blade Gets Delayed… Again
Although it could be taken in a good sense that the MCU doesn’t want to release an unfinished product, the fans are also tired now. With the world having learned not to rush things for a release (*cough* Cyberpunk 2077), the MCU probably wants their films to be actually entertaining for the audience.

In “The Fall Guy,” Ryan Gosling plays Colt Seavers, the stunt double for Hollywood action star Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). Seavers, like “The Fall Guy” director David Leitch and stunt designer Chris O’Hara, got his professional start as a stunt performer before 1999, when “The Matrix” served as a turning point for the profession.
“When my generation came in, ‘The Matrix’ was a big influential time in my career as a stunt performer,” said Leitch on the IndieWire Toolkit podcast. The director worked as a stunt performer on Lana and Lilly Wachowski’s 1999 groundbreaking film. “I learned [and] became heavily exposed to wire work.”
Not only did “The Matrix” successfully integrate wire work, which had become a staple in 1980s and ’90s Hong Kong action films when they hired legendary Chinese fight choreographer Yuen Woo-ping, but the film broke ground in combining practical stunts with visual effects.

European powerhouse Mediawan has acquired Leonine, a leading production and distribution group active in German-speaking markets.
With the acquisition of Leonine, Mediawan will boast a portfolio of 85 labels, a catalogue spanning 30,000 hours of premium content and revenues exceeding €1.3 billion ($1.4 billion). Mediawan’s worth is now believed to be in the $2-billion range. The deal is an all-stock transaction; both companies have the same shareholder, the U.S. private equity fund Kkr whose stake in Mediawan will still be below 50%, according to a source close to the company.
Mediawan now has a significant footprint in all major European markets, including German-speaking territories which represent the continent’s second largest TV market. Hiroyuki Sanada has been an unsung hero in Hollywood since the early 2000s where he has starred in many supporting roles in major blockbusters. From his dedicated performance in Tom Cruise’s The Last Samurai to starring in the biggest film of all time Avengers: Endgame, the actor has made a name for himself in Hollywood and is highly respected in the industry.
Keanu Reeves as John Wick in 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4
Sanada made a big impact in the fourth John Wick film playing Koji, one of John Wick’s friends from the past. While his action sequences and martial arts skills were expectedly brilliant, the scene that leads up to where he strikes up a conversation with John is narratively interesting. Sanada stated that he loved that intimate character-driven scene rather than his big action sequences.

10. John and Jane Smith from Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)
We don’t typically consider married couples to be menacing, but there’s an exception to every rule — and John and Jane Smith are definitely one. From trying to kill each other at their house to dispatching countless assassins sent after them while working together, the Smiths are a force to be reckoned with — or, better, not even touched.
9. Chris Wolff from The Accountant (2016)
They often say that the most dangerous people are the ones who patiently try to avoid the fight, and Chris Wolff is the ultimate proof of that. He’s not excited about killing people, but when dookie hits the fan, he does what has to be done to succeed. The scariest part about Wolff is that he’s always over-prepared for any scenario.
8. Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction (1994)
Following up on “the most dangerous people are,” we have Jules Winnfield.

The cinematic journey of Hiroyuki Sanada and his contribution to the fusion of Western and Eastern storytelling have been nothing short of remarkable. Fresh off the heels of his presence in John Wick: Chapter 4, Sanada’s Shōgun success has been a cultural touchstone. But does this success guarantee his quick return to the producer’s chair?
Sanada is involved as a producer and cast member of the acclaimed FX limited series. With a career as dynamic as the Japanese actor’s, his keen sense of storytelling speaks volumes. Indeed, his dedication to cultural integrity and his case-by-case approach to production roles serve as a deliberate blueprint for his future endeavors in the film industry, as he enjoys shaping narratives.
Hiroyuki Sanada as Lord Yoshii Toranaga in Shōgun
But, despite his success with Shōgun, Sanada’s desire to create from scratch as a producer may not be realized in the near future.

In “Boy Kills World,” Bill Skarsgård has burning eyes and model cheekbones, sinewy arms popping out of a dirty red athletic vest, and a feral pout that makes him look like Jean-Claude Van Damme crossed with Lou Reed. He plays a deaf-mute avenger, known only as Boy, who kills people in insanely violent ways. Yet through it all, the character retains his innocence. He’s a wounded wild child in a man’s body.
Raised in a mountain hideaway by a martial-arts trainer and resistance fighter called the Shaman (Yayan Ruhian), who may remind you, at first, of the Zen master in “Kill Bill: Volume 2,” Boy had his past taken away from him by a vicious totalitarian regime. Bill Kong is cautious, vastly experienced and has an impeccable reputation as a key gateway between Hollywood and China to maintain. He is someone far more likely to deadpan than gush.
So, to hear him getting into high gear with a pitch for his bucket list martial arts movie project “The Furious” immediately invites comparison with previous Kong-produced action pictures including Oscar-winner “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” “Jet Li’s Fearless” or the Zhang Yimou-directed “Hero.”
“I’m going to do an action movie that rocks the world. And to prove that Hong Kong still has something to give the film industry. I want to show that Asian people can still make an action movie that is better than the rest of the world,” Kong tells Variety.
Significantly, “The Furious” is a project made by Hong Kong, rather than made in Hong Kong. Kong’s Edko Films is financing and producing.

In a scene early in The Fall Guy, a nameless crewmember buckles Ryan Gosling’s seat belt as his character is about to attempt a cannon roll, a classic car stunt, on the set of a fictional science fiction movie called Metal Storm. Gosling plays Hollywood stuntman Colt Seavers, who is reluctantly returning to the film business after an injury, but in many ways the real star of the scene is the background actor buckling him in, Logan Holladay. Though his screen time lasts only a few moments, Holladay was the real-life stunt driver for Gosling — the one who actually steered a Jeep Grand Cherokee down a Sydney beach and rolled it eight and a half times on the sand, breaking the Guinness world record of seven rolls set by Adam Kirley, the driver of James Bond’s Aston Martin in 2006’s Casino Royale.

It’s been seven years since the release of Atomic Blonde, the action thriller starring Charlize Theron as top-level MI6 spy Lorraine Broughton. As the film was a box-office and critical success, it begs the question: where the hell is the sequel? Atomic Blonde screenwriter Kurt Johnstad isn’t sure what’s going on with a followup, but he recently told CinemaBlend that he always envisioned Lorraine’s story as a trilogy.
“To me, I always said that’s a trilogy,” Johnstad said. “You could tell three of those, and I hope they crack it. If they need some help, they know where to find me.“
Charlize Theron confirmed that a sequel was in the works in 2018, with her production company, Denver & Delilah Productions, heading up the project. Johnstad hasn’t heard anything from them, saying that it’s possible “they may have gone to another writer, they may have a draft.

Universal Pictures’ The Mummy franchise was a fan favorite when it starred Brendan Fraser as the leading man Rick O’Connell. The first two films in the trilogy were directed by Stephen Sommers, also starred Rachel Weisz and John Hannah, and were box office successes. However, the reboot starring Tom Cruise was a gigantic failure critically and commercially.
While Cruise’s film ended what Universal planned as a series of monster films with a shared universe, a recent fan-made trailer seemed to have followed it up with a new cast. The new trailer is titled The Mummy: Resurrection and sees Keanu Reeves take over the franchise to battle a new evil spirit buried in an Egyptian tomb.

An indie action game akin to Max Payne, El Paso, Elsewhere is to become a film, with Lakeith Stanfield in talks to star.
Developed by indie studio Strange Scaffold – headed up by designer Xalavier Nelson Jr – third-person action videogame El Paso, Elsewhere was released to glowing reviews in 2023. Less than a year later, the Max Payne-esque shooter is to be adapted into a movie, it’s been announced.
Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura has picked up the rights to the game though his company – the logically-named Di Bonaventura Pictures – meaning it’ll share a figurative stable with such properties as Transformers and GI Joe.
According to Variety, Lakeith Stanfield – whose latest film, the irreverent comedy The Book Of Clarence, is in UK cinemas now – is to star in the adaptation.
El Paso, Elsewhere is about a vampire hunter named James Savage, whose ex-girlfriend – named Draculae – is rather awkwardly a vampire herself.

Call it “The Matrix of Sadness.”
“Triangle of Sadness” writer-director Ruben Östlund has tapped Keanu Reeves to star in his next film, the disaster comedy “The Entertainment System Is Down,” Variety reports.
Reeves will join an international ensemble cast in the Swedish filmmaker’s follow-up to his Oscar-nominated dark comedy “Triangle of Sadness.” While the cast is not set and exact plot details are being kept under wraps, “The Entertainment System Is Down” is expected to be a satirical, class-conscious, transportation-based black comedy, similar to “Triangle of Sadness” but even more ambitious. It’s set on a long international flight where, yes, the entertainment system is down, and the passengers react poorly.
“They don’t have the screens that we are so used to in our contemporary world,” Östlund told Variety in 2022. “So it’s going to be like a study of how human beings interact in this little laboratory that is a plane.
