Eternals 2: ‘Eros’ Harry Styles & Others Will Go Up Against A Variant Of Thanos, Claims A Report (Picture Credit: Facebook & IMDb)
Chloe Zhao directed Eternals had an ensemble cast, but it failed to impress the fans like other MCU movies. The first part came out in 2021, and it has been almost three years. A social media report has shared a new update on Eternals 2. The first film featured Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Kit Harrington, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Barry Keoghan and others. It also introduced Harry Styles as Eros, Thanos’s brother.
The MCU introduced the Eternals and explained, despite being such powerful beings, why they did not interfere when Thanos invaded Earth or the other bad things that happened over the centuries. The Celestials created them, and their primary enemies are the Deviants. The fictional race of humanoids was created by Jack Kirby in 1976. Keep scrolling for more.

Since your average filmgoer still knows next to nothing about the comic book characters known as The Eternals, Marvel Studios has been largely reliant on the formidable cast of Chloé Zhao’s upcoming film to stir up some excitement for next year’s release.
Already, we’ve received official confirmation that Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Barry Keoghan and Kit Harington will all be making their McU debuts in the Phase 4 flick. But now a recent Instagram post from the account of Nanjiani has got the fans wondering if Marvel still has at least one more noteworthy casting announcement up their sleeve.
The photo in question was taken in London, not far from Pinewood Studios where The Eternals is currently being filmed. In the pic, Nanjiani can be seen alongside his wife Emily Gordon, his co-star Henry and, in a potentially significant reveal,...

For any other cinematic franchise, The Eternals would be a massive gamble. It’s a mega-budget sci-fi adventure based on a comic book that most people have probably never heard of. It’s also being helmed by a director whose only two previous features were critically-acclaimed indies that earned just over $3.5 million at the box office – combined. But none of that is stopping Marvel Studios from pushing full steam ahead with it. And why would it?
After all, the McU is now in a position where it can take risks that most other franchises wouldn’t dare try, and The Eternals is no different. It also helps that the movie has assembled one of the most impressive cast lists this side of the Avengers.

While the McU is essentially finished for the year – Spider-Man: Far From Home was the final movie from the franchise in 2019 – there’s still much to look forward to. After all, Phase 4 kicks off in 2020 and promises to bring with it a whole slew of exciting films – and TV shows! – for fans to dig into.
But there’s still one burning question that everyone wants an answer to: When will we finally see a box set for the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Sure, the 23 McU films released thus far are all available on Blu-ray but we’ve yet to see a complete box set that bundles them all together. Thankfully, though, that’ll soon change.
Teased over the summer, The Infinity Saga is Marvel’s answer to our prayers, with the studio set to deliver the aforementioned box set which will include every McU movie released so far.

Out of every movie coming in Marvel’s Phase 4, The Eternals is looking to be one of the most fascinating, by far. The heroes aren’t mainstream like the Avengers or Justice League, yet the outlook for the film just keeps getting better and better.
Of course, with every superhero tale comes a villain, and it looks like we might now know who the main antagonist of the upcoming flick will be. According to our sources – the same ones who told us Black Knight was coming to the McU back in April – Druig, Lord of Flames and Nightmares, will be the big bad. But he won’t start off as one.
First, though, let’s go over some backstory. In the comics, a long, long time ago, a group of aliens called the Celestials created the Eternals. Their job was to protect Earth and to fight their evil counterparts, the Deviants.

The script, which was adapted from Colin Barrett’s short story by screenwriter Joe Murtagh (UK series “Origin”), centers on ex-boxer Douglas “Arm” Armstrong (Jarvis), who has become a feared enforcer for the drug-dealing Devers family. Set In rural Ireland, Armstrong has to balance his criminal life with the demands of being a father to his autistic, five-year-old son. When his employers ask him to kill a rival, he must decide where his loyalties fully reside.

Hold everything. At this weekend’s 45th-annual Saturn Awards, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige pulled back the curtain on a never-before-seen post-credits sequence from the 2008 original “Iron Man.”
The clip, shown below, features Marvel Cinematic Universe Mvp Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson), who says “As if gamma accidents, radioactive bug bites, and assorted mutants weren’t enough, I have to deal with a spoiled brat who doesn’t play well with others and wants to keep all his toys to himself.” He’s talking about the Hulk, Spider-Man, and very likely, the X-Men, in that order. With Disney buying 20th Century Fox, which has the rights to the X-Men, this could be an early indicator of intentions. Naturally, the spoiled brat is Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, played by Robert Downey, Jr. in the film and its subsequent sequels.

For the past year or two, there’s been much talk from the bosses at Marvel Studios about their plans to improve representation in the McU, and sure enough, it sounds like Kevin Feige and his team are staying true their word.
According to a source close to We Got This Covered, the future of the Marvel franchise will be heavily focused on diversity, female characters and Lgbt representation. In particular, we’re told that the production house is very keen to correct the imbalance after so many of their movies have been led by white male superheroes.
On top of that, it’s said that the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will introduce (or at least plant the seeds for) a new line-up for the team that will reflect the studio’s continuing focus on representation. Marvel Studios may have announced their entire slate of projects for Phase Four and beyond, but besides the titles of the upcoming movies and TV shows, the company are intent on maintaining their veil of secrecy. After having Thanos lurk in the shadows for years before coming to the fore as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ultimate end-of-game boss across Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, the franchise might want to take a different path when it comes to their villains and instead focus on each standalone movie’s bad guy.
However, recent rumors have indicated that Marvel could be set to take the ‘Big Bad’ approach once again, with both Galactus and Doctor Doom said to be the leading candidates. It makes total sense if the McU wants to repeat a tried-and-tested formula, with both villains ranking among the most iconic in comic book history.

It had to happen at some point. After a record-setting 137 days in theaters, Avengers: Endgame has finally made less than $1,000 in a single day. Monday, September 9th marked the first date that the highest-grossing film of all-time hauled in only triple digits by earning $940. Since the pic has been out for months now and is only showing in 55 theaters, this really isn’t surprising. What’s shocking, though, is that it took this long for it to happen.
This steady decline means that the movie’s impressive theatrical run is likely coming to an end soon. While it’ll be somewhat of a sad day for Marvel fans, it’s hard to deny that the ride hasn’t been anything but exhilarating.
As of right now, the ambitious superhero project has hauled in nearly $2.8 billion worldwide. Much of that total is due to the over $850 million that it’s made domestically.

Avengers: Endgame just can’t stop shattering records. The highest-grossing film of all-time now also holds the distinction of having the longest-running theatrical release of 2019. The movie originally dropped into cinemas on April 26th before a re-release featuring bonus footage came out on June 28th. As of last Wednesday, the flick is somehow continuing to play in just over 100 theaters nationwide and at this rate, there’s a chance it could still be on the big screen by the time the next Avengers installment comes out. We kid, of course.
As of right now, the ambitious superhero project has hauled in $2,796,267,086 worldwide. A large portion of that money is thanks to the $858,365,685 it managed to bank domestically. Somehow, Avengers: Endgame made an extra $16,000 on Labor Day, even though it’s already available to be watched both digitally and on Blu-ray. Clearly, people want to experience this blockbuster in theaters.

Avengers: Endgame is a great movie, but it’s far from perfect. There are plenty of gaping plot holes and questionable character choices that a lot of fans would go back and change if given the chance. According to Joe Russo, however, he has no regrets. When it comes to his magnum opus, he wouldn’t change a thing.
“If we regret anything by the end of it, then we did not do our jobs right… As we’re making the film, we’re shooting a year. So something we shot two months in we can watch three months later in the edit room and decide we don’t like performance, we don’t like the tone, we didn’t get the joke right, we didn’t get the emotion right and we reshoot it… We really don’t regret anything about it. We’re very happy with how it turned out.

Now that Marvel Studios have moved on from the decade-long Infinity Saga following Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to really shake things up in Phase Four and beyond. While the studio’s upcoming slate of projects does feature its fair share of sequels and returning characters, only Black Widow and Black Panther 2 are what could be described as straightforward adventures.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is being touted as the McU’s first venture into the horror genre, Thor: Love and Thunder will see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster take up the mantle of the God of Thunder, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be the studio’s first blockbuster led by an Asian superhero. However, the most interesting installment in Phase Four could well be The Eternals, which looks to take the cosmic side of the comic book franchise to another level.

Last year, Miles Morales made his big screen debut in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, showing us that audiences had no problem relating to a Spider-Man who was a person of color. But what about a wall-crawler who was also part of the Lgbt community? Is that something that should happen and would fans be open to it?
The latter part of that question remains to be seen, but the first half has now been addressed by current Spider-Man Tom Holland, who reiterated that he definitely thinks there should be a gay Spidey. After showing support for it happening earlier this year, the actor once again said that he backs the idea, explaining as so:

There are those, however, who don’t want to see the franchise move in the right direction. Just ask the person who told Kristen Stewart not to hold her girlfriend’s hand in public if she wanted a role in a Marvel film.

There are those, however, who don’t want to see the franchise move in the right direction. Just ask the person who told Kristen Stewart not to hold her girlfriend’s hand in public if she wanted a role in a Marvel film.

The game-changing events of Avengers: Endgame may have drawn the Infinity Saga to a definitive close, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe may not be done with the Infinity Stones just yet. The twenty-fifth installment in the long-running franchise, Chloe Zao’s The Eternals, is currently shooting and is set to be released in November 2020, and despite plot specifics being kept under wraps, what we know about the movie so far could indicate that the Stones will play a role in the story.
The Eternals focuses on a group of immortal aliens sent to protect Earth from an evil race known as the Deviants, which already makes it sound like the most out-there cosmic entry in the McU to date. While the characters may be unfamiliar to some audiences, their comic book origins are closely tied to the backstory established for the Infinity Stones within the McU.

The Marvel franchise is no stranger to period films, but while the action of Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain Marvel unfolded against the backdrop of the 20th century, Chloé Zhao’s The Eternals is set to journey several millennia into the past, making it the earliest McU story by a considerable margin.
Kumail Nanjiani was present at this year’s D23 Expo, where he spoke to Entertainment Tonight about his upcoming McU debut. At yesterday’s D23 panel, Marvel Studios revealed that Kit Harington of Game of Thrones fame will take on the role of Black Knight in Chloé Zhao’s The Eternals. And while the news was well received by much of the McU fandom, some filmgoers were disappointed to learn that the Jon Snow actor hadn’t been cast as a more famous comic book character.
Specifically, there was much speculation beforehand that Harington might be taking over from Hugh Jackman as the next Wolverine or playing a member of the Fantastic Four. If you ask Variety reporter Justin Kroll, however, it’ll likely be a long wait still before Marvel announces the next set of X-Men or recasts any of their newly acquired Fox characters.

Not to be outdone by the avalanche of series orders and casting announcements bolstering the new streaming series Disney Plus, Walt Disney Studios showed off its film wares in a marathon presentation at D23 on Saturday.

At Saturday’s massive D23 Expo in Anaheim, Disney flexed its powerful movie muscles in both live-action and animation, emphasizing cultural diversity and legacy building. Among the standouts were sneak peeks of the “Mulan” live-action remake and Pixar’s “Soul”, with the studio’s first predominantly all-black cast (led by Jamie Foxx as an aspiring jazz pianist). And the common thread was the richness of family in all its various forms.
In fact, Walt Disney Studios’ co-chairman Alan Horn literally underscored the point when kicking off the presentation: “You’re not just fans, you’re family,” he told the crowd of 6,800 in D23 Hall.

Even though reports of Sony Pictures and Disney breaking up have dominated the news cycle for the past few days (and fans are clearly not happy that Spider-Man won’t be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward), there’s still been plenty of other McU info trickling out at a steady pace. As some of you are already aware, a lot of this news is coming straight out of Anaheim, California, where the sixth official D23 Expo kicked off yesterday.
While The Mandalorian and Lady and the Tramp each got their own official debut trailer, there hasn’t been that much in the way of proper footage of upcoming McU films, save for a Phase 4 overview which leaked online yesterday. That being said, there’s been plenty of casting announcements and updates, and one, in particular, has sent Game of Thrones fans into a tizzy.

“Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler announced the release date of the much-anticipated follow-up film at D23 in Anaheim, Calif. Saturday.

While Marvel Studios had plenty of release date announcements at Comic-Con, they saved one for Disney’s big party at D23 Expo in Anaheim: the highly anticipated sequel for last year’s cultural hit “Black Panther.”
“Black Panther II” will be released on May 6, 2022, joining a Marvel Phase Four release slate that begins in 2020 with “Black Widow” in May and “Eternals” in November. In 2021, the studio will release three films: “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” in February, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” in May, and “Thor: Love and Thunder” in November.
No plot details about “Black Panther 2” have been revealed, though given it’s getting the same kind of sequel naming as the “Iron Man” movies, we predict a huge role for king T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) in Phase 4 of the McU. But for those of you curious where things stand for T’Challa heading into the sequel,...

Like Captain America’s super strength or Iron Man’s smarts, Marvel Studios has the incredible ability to take even the most obscure comic book characters and make them pop culture icons. Let’s not forget that folks like Drax the Destroyer, the Winter Soldier and Thanos were relatively unknown outside of comic shops before they appeared in the McU.
Now, it seems like Kevin Feige and co. are hoping to give the same treatment to Moon Knight, one of the darker heroes from the comics. If you’ll recall, Wgtc was the first outlet to bring you news of a project for the character when we reported on it a few weeks ago and now, it’s been confirmed. Moon Knight is coming to the McU and he’ll be getting his own Disney Plus TV show.

Even though there are no more McU movies coming out this year, the last few days have proved to be an emotional rollercoaster of sorts for Marvel fans. Leading up to the biennial D23 Expo (which has often been the source for big announcements focused on Disney’s superhero films), we caught wind of news that the House of Mouse and Sony Pictures failed to make a deal regarding the financing and production of future Spider-Man movies, effectively booting the friendly neighborhood webslinger from the McU.
While fans are still doing everything they can to bring Peter Parker back into the fold, there’s some good news to look forward to. Today alone, a ton of new footage for a variety of upcoming films and projects (including The Rise of Skywalker and Black Widow) has leaked, and we just caught wind that a trailer for Phase 4 of the McU has made its way online.

The past few months have been full of ups and downs for Game of Thrones fans. Back in the spring, the series finale aired and unfortunately, didn’t sit very well with viewers. Although the season as a whole had some strong outings, the last episode was pretty underwhelming and left a bitter taste in the mouth of many.
Some of the show’s stars weren’t entirely thrilled with how things wrapped up, either, and a few of them have had trouble moving on from the hit fantasy series. As you may’ve heard, Kit Harington checked himself into rehab a few months back, and though he’s kept quiet ever since, it seems he’s now ready to return to work.
What exactly his next project will be remains to be seen, but Deadline’s reporting that the Jon Snow actor has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although,...
