Liked this episode the best

It's shocking how charming he actually is. With everything he's done, he still has a way of being completely casual. Like it's not even affecting him at all. What a complete narcissist.

Such an interesting, tragic case.

Charles Victor Thompson, sentenced for killing his ex partner, Dennise Hayslip, but there's a twist, after shooting her, she died of medical complications in a hospital.

This confused me, you would think the circumstances here would be such that they'd keep lawyers tied up for months, but ultimately Dennise died at the hands of Charles.

Charles comes across as a real charmer, the kind of guy you'd meet out, and think, what a nice guy, but he's way deeper and more interesting than that, he shows no emotion throughout, he's fixed, emotionless and almost robotic, his behaviour seems incredibly narcissistic. The guy doesn't blink. He's making the case that he was the wronged lover, discovering Dennise in bed with another man, I thought they'd separated.

Was Thompson convicted on a technicality, because of a hospital cover up? Ultimately she wouldn't have been in hospital, had he not shot her.

As in the previous episode, the last case, you hold a gun, it signals intent.

Fascinating, 8/10.

Creepy calm

This particular guy was creepy calm talking about the situation and used "this case" and "the gentleman" like he was reading from his file. However, good documentary that certainly makes you think about how sentences are served.

What a Disgusting Loser

Warning: Spoilers
Interesting to hear their side of the story and then hear the facts from witnesses, the jury members, and forensics and their own confessions right after the crime.

No one remembers anything of their crime while they were committing it. This POS claims, oh, there was a fight after catching my gf in bed with the new guy, and my gf was accidentally shot in the face. When what he confessed to, to friends and the scene and forensics shows is, he kicked in the front door. The current boyfriend was shot at the front door and he shot him in the back of the head and he then pointblank shot the exgf in the face.

Imagine their terror. She chose a new man because he was a loser and than made him angry. He meant everything he did.

Then he tried to have the witness whom he confessed to, killed. as a murder for hire. He's right where he needs to be.

The current boyfriend, unfortunately, thought a prior confrontation with this bag of pus was resolved over a beer. I guess people don't understand that sociopaths and narcissists aren't like the rest of us.

Unfortunate, that decent people can't fathom the evil of others.

Worth the watch to see how The Death Penalty is reached in the USA. Not that deep in legal jargon but very interesting.
