Anyone who reads this and has seen both seasons would undoubtably agree that season 1 was much better. It had purpose, direction, a strong narrative and the characters to drive the story at a gripping and exciting pace.
However most people will surely make a decision on whether they liked this season or not, I'm still unsure. It certainly tried its best and at times was very entertaining as we clawed to know more and more, but at the mid point I found myself losing interest for the big conclusion as I knew it wouldn't live up to my expectations. They tried their best to make Ambrose open up and be somewhat relatable with the story about his mother but it all felt a little too forced and became somewhat of a distraction and mild annoyance as the season progressed.
The person I could relate to most was Julian because I felt the same way he did every episode, confusion. The reason for that was the story wasn't well rounded enough to fill all episodes completely so we found ourselves sidetracked with flashbacks and substories that was of little interest or just a bit pointless to the overall story arc.
The ending left me with quite a few unanswered questions and I have to agree that justice wasn't served and it all felt a little false which takes away from the immersive show The Sinner tries to be. I have to say that season 2 is definitely worth a watch but just don't expect it to be the same show Season 1 was.
Overall a fairly decent watch that tries to keep you immersed and on the edge of your seat but is better served as a late night binge while in bed.
