Not the season finale!
ericstevenson7 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Well, this website claims there's going to be more episodes this season. The show doesn't break the fourth wall much, but it seemed to at the end. Then it turns out it was just Randy advertising his show within a show. This features Randy being arrested upon discovering he was behind the bombings. The climax references that of the movie "Joker". I really did not see that coming.

I'm glad they brought Garri-Trump back. It's been too long without him. Rudy Giuliani gets mocked too. I almost like I need to pay more attention to the news. I can't tell if they're referencing a recent event or not! Well, I keep track well enough. ***

Trump-Bashing
jacobjfk9 November 2019
The episode is great but I think constant Trump-Bashing kills it, I hadn't minded it before but it goes on and on and on, I hope Trump isn't mentioned or talked about in South Park but considering next year is election time, I have no hope for south park passed the end of the real finale, they need an episode like 'The Scoots' to save this dry, shallow season.

TL;DR: It's too conformist to modern TV standards.
Drakev_42210 November 2019
When Stone and Parker made fun of past Presidents on the show, it was a different time, when Americans hadn't been barraged with political humour and editorials for 4 years straight. Everyone does it now, and it has become the easy-to-make, joke that writers make when there are no other ideas left. It's perfectly understandable, and quite tempting to make jokes about the President; but now that it's such a staple of TV comedy, South park SHOULD be straying from this conformity, and making jokes independent of the norms; and yet, they're not. In this episode, South Park has become merely another 2019 comedy show, and not the groundbreaking, inspiring, stunning, and brave work of art that it has been for so long; that is, until this season, or partially as far back as 2015. I understand that this show is over 2 decades old, and that only so many ideas haven't been done, or ruined by the Simpsons or Family Guy. Perhaps it's time for the show to honourably spare itself from that ugly fate. The call for cancellation is just. I love this show, as I did the Simpsons, more than any other; but I know what old age can do the brilliance of something, and I don't want to see it happen again. I hope Stone and Parker realise this, I hope to God. I truly do.

The thing is, you never know what goes on behind closed doors. It's possible that it was a sort of payment for making the China jokes, of which Comedy Central probably disapproved. In return for that, they had to make a joke that conforms to the wishes of the network. I still love the show, it's no big deal.

Politi-Park is back haha
epoen7 November 2019
I gotta admit....I was wondering if South Park would bring "Garri-Trump" back. I know there are a lot of people sick of politics and the impeachment stuff but personally I love it. Especially when south park gets involved. They always have Trump down to a T! These guys are brilliant the way they spin the stories. Watch it! It's worth it!!

Self aware and hilarious
cartsghammond9 November 2019
This season has featured a lot of Tegridy farms, which I'm okay with, but some people aren't. This episode references that with its storyline, and it's genius. There's a couple reviews saying this episodes is "leftist propaganda" which is hilarious that people are still complaining about South Park making episodes about current politics. This is a funny episode, and it's been a pretty decent season so far. I'm happy with the state of South Park right now, I'm excited to see what the rest of the season is about.

The Full Pack
lauchaguti-994618 November 2019
Man this episode had everything. I mean, they really haven't forgotten anyone as they target potheads, people who thinks this season has been super-meta, both Tegridy lovers and haters, the "whites" and pretty much their fans and people who still watches the show. South Park has changed, but they still got it.

GOP cult refuse to laugh at themselves
roberts6639 November 2019
Scientologists didn't like South Park either, the Cult of political parties is strong, but at least Democrats could laugh at Obama bashing. South Park goes after everything, every group is fair play. Some of those Giuliani parts had me in tears. Garrison/Trump explanation on how to deal with allegations was pretty funny to "deny, attack and accuse them of the same thing." Something to that effect anyways. Too true!

Haters gonna hate, but what a funny episode that was!
Williwatch23 November 2019
I mean, I know why most of the negative rating's people are mad about, and that's even funnier. They probably are the big b.utt of most jokes and satire even though most wouldn't see it coming if it were riding a golden elephant with xenon lights.

One of the better 'South Park' episodes in recent memory. It's meta, silly, and political...
DarthVoorhees29 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't know what the heck to think of 'Tegridy Farms becoming a thread that went through almost half a season of 'South Park'. I love Randy but there have been bad Randy episodes where they just overdo a joke and beat the dead horse senselessly. It seemed like this 'Tegridy Farms season was going to be a bust because of this but something magical happened, the joke became funny because of it's almost crazy repetition. 'Season Finale' is the punchline to a long set up. It is 'South Park' being self aware about it's humor. I loved that they bluntly acknowledged that Randy had taken over the show and that the joke had worn out it's welcome. It's that kind of wink at the audience that works in 'South Park' because they are so earnest about their set ups/

I loved the Trump humor. I was sorry that Garrison had not appeared in all of last season. Casting Garrison as Trump is one of the most ingenious things 'South Park' has ever done. Even though he is used sparingly I feel they get the most out of President Garrison. 'South Park' may shy away from doing too much Trump stuff but this episode and 'Splatty Tomato' with the White family are the hardest I've laughed at 'South Park' in years. I love how Randy almost has that moment of self reflection about his selfishness but because he lives in a Trump/Garrison culture he can't quite make that final leap.

This is a near perfect marriage of 'South Park' being silly for the sake of it and 'South Park' taking the headlines to say something with it's humor.

I hope 'Tegridy Farms reopens next season. I am down for more of Randy's hijinks

Finally a good episode !
martinsmarkss7 November 2019
Unfortunately it took 5x really bad episodes to tie together this half of 23 season ! Tray & Matt should go back to create standalone episodes with little bit of other plots or 1 main plot ! But it still wasn't no where near as gold old episodes like i was watching SP season 9 the other day and my brother thought that South Park still has it - he was shocked when i told its a season 9 lol !

This episode was stupid. I can't remember the last time South Park had a really good episode. I hope they can bring those days back.

Preaching from on "high"
HardLight25 August 2020
South Park has been a staple of the idea of pushing back against the establishment since its inception, it has repeatedly done the argument that "whoever is in power is to be mocked" and for the most part they have done it .

The problem has been clear since 2016 and "oh, jeez" that when it comes to political satire, Trey Parker has a massive bugbear about the current establishment (circa 2016-2020 Aug as of writing this) and when involving things like political events and social topics that involve the "home politics" the "preaching" comes out too often.

This leads to a rather unfortunate state of affairs, one that has been present since the first appearance of a reacquiring "joke" on the show being "The Whites" which coincidentally started appearing around the same time as the "problematic" issue of the Government of the then 2017 President

It gets to be somewhat galling to see the people who once argued that a monster sitting on a Snuke that rips Kenny's face off in the episode the Snuke are themselves now the same Liberal Elite group who will twist the world into being a pretzel instead of seeing how a media are avoiding real life.

To make the point more clear here. South Park has been an attempt at shining a light at the problems in society and mocking them, from the first scene of the episode "Osama Bin Ladin has Farty Pants" to the insane attempts at sensationalising the abuse of children and the death of a man who fled from Chris Hansen in "Le Petit Tourette"

Its a shame that the people who did things that allowed us to see the world as being a screwed up place - but one we can laugh at - have turned it into another example of CNN and its biased and one-sided view of the world

.

because apparently that is offensive now too...

Cancel South Park
rfnipko7 November 2019
They clearly knew what was happening. They were being taken over by "them" like all the other shows. This isnt how its suppposed to end. Trey and Matt knew it too. Just cancel South Park 😔

Oh Jeez

Warning: Spoilers
The synopsis is that Randy goes into custody for all of his crimes on Tegridy Farms while the White's complain about their dead child.

After 6 episodes, we are finally seeing the end of Tegridy Farms. Well... Exactly not. However, that was the only reason I really liked the Tegridy Farms plot. I always had hope that the show would end the Tegridy Farms plots because they are getting old but I will most likely have to wait until the end of the season. However, I did like the scene where Randy battles his marijuana addiction in prison rehab and confront guilty in prison. I just love how he is learning from all of the mistakes he's made, which we really don't see much of in this show.

The B plot about the White's is what REALLY brings this episode down to a 6. The B plot in season 21 about the Whites was very stale and I didn't even smile when it was brought up. This episode was even worse. It was actually painful for me to sit through the funeral scene with all the crying from Mrs. White and listen to all of their rants about how no one listens to them for the entire episode!

The part I did like from this episode was seeing Mexican Joker himself, I kind of predicted they would make a real Mexican Joker from the start, but it was still good to see it in action.

But Overall, "Season Finale" felt a lot more like a build-up newer episode than an actual episode. It also felt more like an episode from season 20-21 (The dark ages of modern South Park in my opinion) than an episode from this season. It is by way the worst episode in this season so far. Hopefully, South Park will discontinue this way of storytelling and move on to something more creative and episodic.

Giuliani portrayed as Biden
strife-917909 October 2020
Biden is the one who sniffs, rubs shoulders, and invades personal space Regularly. This is well documented. He could've been portrayed as an over zealous yes-man, sure, but portraying him this way is just lazy.

Blancos Story results boring and unfunny, and also Randy's one. But there is hope with this season finale.
