This is a film minus a story. It's a violent road movie wherein the journalists covering the civil war lurch from one battle to another with gratuitous violence thrown in for visual impact. Some of the violent scenes are not very plausible as I sincerely doubt Americans would instantly execute other fellow Americans.
Apart from a "mini documentary" opening which doesn't tell the viewer much about the reasons for the civil war we are left wondering why the war is happening, what led to the coalition forming in response to the federal government and how America's allies and enemies are reacting to the situation from outside the US.
Sorry, this is a movie with loads of well performed stunts and action set pieces (the scenes in Washington are truly chilling) in want of a story.
