Werewolf by Night (2022)
Horrible and a sad waste of a great character
How did this abomination get over 7 stars on IMBD? This is what happens when you turn David Bowie, Santa Claus, Freda Jackson and Vector into monster hunters. This was definitely the worst MCU movie I have ever seen and the worst Marvel related project since the 1980s Captain America. I watched this monstrousity with my family and we all hated it.
What a horrible, horrible waste of the character Bloodstone. His stories in the comics were awesome, and now he has been relegated to a cheesy character that dies 90 years in the MCU's past. Shameful!!!
On the upside, Man-Thing was very well done. Its a shame that the story and action in this were so awful. Eh, I need to type more. Last word, if you are a big fan of Man-Thing check this out. If you love everything Marvel does check this out. If not, do not waste your time.
Francesca Quinn, PI (2022)
Fairly boring
This was a bit boring and also fairly convoluted. I can't believe they cancelled Mystery 101, Matchmaker Mysteries and Ruby Herring for something like this, that felt a little bit more like a Lifetime movie than a Hallmark mystery movie. There was plenty of melodrama along the way in this. Amy Groening.was a definite bright spot in this movie, as limited as her role was, she was fun to watch while she lasted. Anyways, this movie got so boring at one point that I began hoping that the main protagonist would turn out to be the killer. Rather that turned out to be the case or not, I will not say.
Psych 3: This Is Gus (2021)
Pretty awful
This was pretty awful and extremely silly, even for Psych. Ironically an 11 year old girl tells her father he has tickets to a Ted Nugent concert, and Nugent is spoken of in respectful terms, despite the fact that he has a song about raping a 13 year old girl! I found it a great metaphor for how awful this movie was.
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021)
Terrible
I honestly stopped watching when it showed a fully nude man peeing in a pool. Not that I was particularly offended but I realized it was a taste of things to come and this show would just be super raunchy. I want suspense, good acting, intense drama, not raunchiness. Will never watch this again.
Father's Day (2011)
ABsolutely horrible
This movie was God awful. I watched it with my brother (we both like horror movies) and this was one of the worst movies either of us has ever seen. Maybe if you like Troma this is some how great, but if you are not into movies that try to get as sick and disgusting as possible, you will not enjoy this. Oh, and it also was not funny at all, so am not sure why they are calling this a comedy. I absolutely wasted $4 renting this piece of cr#p.
Serendipity (2001)
Movie felt hauntingly familiar
This wonderful movie is about two soulmates being brought together briefly, then pining for each other for years. It is a magical movie that inspires hope for those who want to keep hope and magic alive. It particularly hit home for me as I experienced something similar in Woolworths many years ago. Many people that watched this felt that the coincidences in the movie are fake or outlandish, but they felt real to me as I live very similar things. Still waiting for that romantic glove falling moment.

The Good Doctor: Waiting (2021)
Powerful and touching
I watched this episode because the very talented Italia Ricci is in it. I was not disappointment. It portrays two women with different political ideologies (never identifying who is on the right and who is on the left) both going through a horrible situation and their humanity comes through in a powerful way. It very tastefully portrays political schisms in the USA in today's world and hopefully sends a message that we can all be friends and love everyone. Shame on the cold hearted people that bashed this beautiful story.
Where Are You, Bobby Browning? (2016)
Awful sound editing
I watched this film because IMDB has Jen Lilly listed first. She is a minor player unfortunately. This movie is also supposed to be a comedy but the funny scenes with odd characters are just odd, not funny at all. By far the worst thing about this disaster of a movie is that the people talking is turned down about 4 times lower than it should be, causing any music to really drown out what is being said. I would give this 3 stars if not for the terrible sound. The bad sound would have been so easy to fix and firmly gives this a 1 star.
I Love Your Work (2003)
Awful convoluted movie
This is one of the worst and convoluted movies I have ever seen. At the end the police were not seeing Gray as Gray, but as John, which means that he was never who he thought he was, and yet his actress wife walks towards his shot body at the end as if she were his wife, but just a minute earlier she was smoking and laughing. The ending of this movie left both me and my brother very cold. It was as if they just ran out of film and ended it.
Nancy Drew (2019)
Nancy Drew meets the 21st century, with bad results
I saw the trailer for this and was intrigued and hopeful. If as good as the trailer, it might have been worth watching. It wasn't. This felt like people that direct MTV videos produced this. It was choppy and everything felt forced. The characters flet unmotivated. This really makes the Hallmark mystery movies look like masterpieces. I did like the lead actress. She is beautiful and did a good job as Nancy but that is not enough. It's a real shame though because I had very high hopes, but no, this is very typical of 21st century dumbed down TV. The average person will probably like it though.
Peter Gunn: Sisters of the Friendless (1958)
Interesting tie to the Beatles Happiness is a warm gun
Quite an interesting episode, and coincidentally, the mother superior tells Peter that he is jumping the gun. Ten years later John Lennon wrote the song Happiness is a warm gun, in which there is the line, "Mother superior jumped the gun'. A coincidence, or did Peter Gunn inspire Lennon?
Death of a Nation (2018)
Misrepresents democrats
This awful piece of propaganda is misrepresenting the democratic party. Anyone that knows anything about the history of politics knows that the polarity of the republican and democratic parties flipped since the 1800s, with the attitude of racial superiority jumping from democrats to republicans. To spell that out for those that have a difficult time understanding- if the hardcore democrats of the 1800s lived today with the exact same attitudes, they would quickly switch parties. This "movie" completely ignores that fact. If you do not believe me Google search- democrat and republican switching polarity. Don't support this garbage if you are a good person.
Lost in Space: Impact (2018)
Can't get past the gigantic plot holes
Sorry but it would take temps near absolute zero and hundreds of mile an hour winds for an entire lake of water to freeze solid, and the people are sitting around without helmets on and their skin is not freezing solid. This show lost me after that. The robot looking like something out of one of the alien movies did not help any. IMO this is worse than almost every episode of the original series.
Legends of Tomorrow: The Justice Society of America (2016)
This show is jumping the shark
Why do people like this garbage? Why would Reverse Flash want to help the Nazis take over America? A change of that significance would wipe out the eventual birth of Eddie Thawne, probably wipe out the existence of dozens of other of his ancestors, and needless to say would assure Eobard would never be born and would cease to exist (the writers of this show have already made it clear that this is the way time meddling works). It just makes absolutely no sense for Eobard to even be in this show in this way. Why is this rated into the 8 star level? I really like Reverse Flash too but he just does not belong here acting this way with motivations that make zero sense.
Legends of Tomorrow: Out of Time (2016)
Show getting campier with season 2
This episode was very disappointing. I was hoping this show would get better again after desperately sagging towards the end of season 1. Not only was this campy, it was implausible in many ways. They would surely know that kidnapping Einstein could not get the Germans a nuclear bomb, as Einstein did not have the know how to single handedly build a nuclear bomb. Also nuclear missiles do NOT work on the concept of exploding on contact like a regular explosive missile. The explosion takes place when the bomb is set to explode (when the fission/fusion process is started). Impacting something would probably completely disrupt and inactivate the process. I am not even a scientist and I knew that. Then there was the first appearance of the 1940s super hero team. I had such high hopes that this would at least come close to the feel of the brief appearances of the 1940s super heroes in the Watchmen, but based on the brief appearance at the end of this episode this is an infinite cry from that. These did not seem like 1940s super heroes.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Awful because of Lex Luthor
This film had a lot of potential and was very good in many ways. It was fairly slow in the beginning which probably knocks it down a star or 2 but Jesse Eisenburg as Lex Luthor is just God awful. His appearances on screen are like finger nails on the chalk board, and there is no doubt in my mind that this would be up around 7.9 or 8 stars if they had just done a better job of casting this part. And now I see they are putting this guy in the Justice League movie? Noooooo I may not go to see it at all now hearing this, unless his part is like a one scener, then I will bare with it. What the heck were they thinking casting this guy? I would also guess that the domestic box office would have been a good 30-50 million dollars higher (at the very least) with a better actor. I know I would have seen it again, and I have no interest in ever watching it again thanks to his presence in it, though I will surely watch the Wonder Woman scenes again because she is awesome!
Wonder Woman (2017)
Better than Batman!
I really liked this movie, but didn't intend to review it until I saw the very poor reviews that I am reading here. Was this the greatest movie ever made? Not by a long shot, but Gal Gadot was awesome as Wonder Woman, and this is a total masterpiece compared to the much ballyhooed, plot hole ridden nightmare of a movie known as The Dark Knight, I counted a half dozen plot and inconsistency problems in just 15 minutes of that awful extremely over rated movie. I did not find any inconsistencies at all with Wonder Woman. Yes it was a bit slow at first, but when compared to Batman vrs Superman it was like comparing quicksilver to molasses. Also I have to point out that IMDb needs to overhaul the rating system. Some people are giving this one star just to try to bring down the over all rating as quickly as possible. I can only hope that IMDb disregards these kind of sabotage attempts on their system.
Wonder Woman has just grossed more money at the box office in its 25th day of release than Man of Steel, BM vrs SM and Suicide Squad combined. Those people hating on this film are just haters.
Legends of Tomorrow: River of Time (2016)
Even worse than the prior episode
This otherwise excellent show has now gotten almost unwatchable. I have to agree with another reviewer, Burrows and Scofield (Rory and Snart) have really become the best thing about this show, but they don't save this stinker. The characters make one abominable mistake after another. First Kendra fails to grab the mace when carter drops it then attack Vandal. She had time to get it, and the importance factor can not be over exaggerated, then by some miracle she beats Savage without it and manages to knock him out, but then once again fails to grab the mace and kill the guy that will continue to kill her and Carter as soon as they reach adult hood, over and over throughout eternity. So then they throw him back in a cell and Palmer is stupid enough to go in against him without even his armor (he would have lost even with his armor on, and he had to know that). Yes I understand that it was a matter of pride, but he risked the lives of all his friends by releasing him. Then Rip Hunter fails to even try to talk Kendra in to killing him because he for some reason thinks turning him in to the time lords is a better idea. He still could make the same point to the time lords after having Vandal killed, and returning all the people back to 2016, but he gambled and now they are all imprisoned. TOTALLY INSANE. How does this get 7.9 star over all???
Legends of Tomorrow: Leviathan (2016)
Horribly anti-climatic
This was one of the most disappointing episodes of a TV show I have ever seen. Kendra's entire future rides on killing this awful villain and she fails to do it. Yes he was holding it over her head that her soul mate could only be restored to normal by him, but why would she believe him? This man has murdered both her and him over 200 times in 4000 years, and she finally has a chance to end this terrible cycle by killing him, and she fails to do so. Even if she can not undo what has happened to him, she could rest easy knowing that they can live happily together in all future life times instead of being hunted to death by a psychopath over and over again as soon as she hits adult hood. On the upside, the giant Luminos-like robot in this was pretty damn awesome. I would have given this 9 stars if Kendra had just done the right thing and split vandal's skull with the mace.
Lost in Space: A Visit to Hades (1966)
Great episode with big down side
Not having watched this episode in 10 years I thought I would be giving it 9 or 10, because I knew that Gerald Mohr would be quite excellent as the Satanish Morbus, and he really was! The back and forth dialog between Smith and Morbus is consistently very entertaining and definitely the highlight here. Smith's encounter with the Metaluna mutant-like monster is also quite cool. The big down side is the way Judy behaves like a 5 year old spoiled brat. Who actually thought that anyone would be entertained by that? If Judy had acted dignified here or frightened, or any other way than what they made her, this episode would be a 10 for me, an undoubtedly much higher over all.
Legends of Tomorrow: Marooned (2016)
Worst episode yet by far
This train wreck of an episode pretty much has me close to stop watching. They have turned Rory into a Dr Smith type of character that can never be trusted again, and the mission is far too important to keep him around, and yet I know that Dominic Purcell will be in many more episodes. There was also many plot holes here. Why are they ignoring Fire Storm? Have I missed some reason why they are not utilizing him? He could have taken out Rory and all of those time pirates so easily. I found the entire premise on which this episode was based to be so unrealistic. Why would Rip risk saving that ship when saving it could just get him captured and stopped. It simply was not worth it. All that said, I love Miller and Purcell as Rory and Snart, and have enjoyed them until now, but as said before, Rory has just been taken too far to be redeemable.
American Gods: The Bone Orchard (2017)
Part good, part bad
This show has the production values to be an excellent show, has a good cast, good acting and good action, but the execution on the final product leaves a lot to be desired. It starts off with a scene from hundreds of years ago, and apparently there is some sort of curse on the new land (America?) that these men from a viking ship discover, because the second one of them passes a certain line on the beach, he is somehow magically inundated by arrows. If they are trying to say that the guy was shot by Native Americans with 500 arrows and no misses, I am not buying. I have serious doubts that just what the heck went on there will ever be explained, which is just the beginning of why this is bad. Then to appease what these men perceive as Gods that need sacrifices, they commit increasingly brutal acts on each other, climaxing in a fight scene in which the producers decided to throw 10-20 times more blood into the air than would have really been present in a realistically portrayed fight scene, and I can only guess that they did this to appeal to the lowest common denominator- viewers looking for violence porn. I am also not buying. I am not going to be like the rest that brush the garbage under the carpet just to get to the nugget of what might be an excellent story. I for one will not be watching further episodes. Without the nonsense added for shock value this could have been a 9.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
Nebula/Gillan was awesome!
This movie pretty much has it all. Science fiction outer space super hero action that kicks the Avengers and Star Wars butts, plenty of laughs and some really touching serious moments. Karen Gillan as the ominously somber and angry Nebula is incredible, especially how different she is playing this character compared to her real personality. The scene where she talks about Thanos is one of the highlights of the movie. I can't wait to see more of her in Infinity War!
Prison Break: Phaecia (2017)
Below Par for Prison Break
I typically love Prison Break but this episode just stunk. There was just too many implausibilities. The people that killed Kellerman and shot Sarah's husband are released on bail the next day?? That seemed so incredibly unlikely to me. The worst part of the episode is that Michael's group blew up the truck killing all those men, and their guns are laying there for the taking, and here comes another lunatic racing down the road towards them that they will need those guns against, and not one of the 4 men think to run up and grab some guns? Of course that would have killed the plot of the rest of the episode showing them run from said lunatic.
The Mysterious Island (1929)
Stiff but not bad
This movie is a real oddity, the majority of it is silent while the beginning had a sound sequence with a lot of Lionel Barrymore talking. Very oddly, his hair is considerably darker, different styled and he looks almost 10 years younger in the speaking segment than he does in the silent part of the movie. The under water scenes make this movie watchable. Both the underwater gear and the little creatures are well done and interesting.
