What can i say, i was expecting really bad zombies and really bad horror from dead set, and i'm glad to say i was pleasantly surprised.

although the acting wasn't amazing the rest of the programme was excellent, the zombies looked good, the special effects where OK and i really enjoyed the jerky camera angles.

although any fan of horror wont find this scary (think dawn of the dead 2004 or 28 days later) it was very enjoyable.

Channel 4 have done a great job making something original for a TV audience, i can honestly say i have not seen any original "horror" programming this good on TV since Ghost Watch about 15 years ago.

well done channel 4!

To say i'm not a fan of Uwe Boll would bean understatement every thing previous to this he has made has been terrible beyond words but i actually think he made an OK movie for once.

never thought i'd say this but i actually enjoyed the movie. its very average and very cheesy and yes, once again he managed to pull pretty poor performances out of fantastic actors. But something about it kept me watching and ended up with me actually having a pleasant taste in my mouth for a change.

nothing ground breaking and a very run of the mill sword and sorcery adventure but fun and worth a watch.

well done Uwe you didn't completely ruin a movie...finally! There may be hope for you yet although i don't think we'll ever forget alone in the dark!

This movie had something that kept me watching but i'm not to sure what it was, maybe sheer boredom on a Sunday night.

The Characters where OK but i was expecting a Horror and didn't really get it. The story involves dogs, not 16ft killer dogs, just dogs! The Token black guy in the movie just made me mad, it was as if he was trying to be the funny black guy but he just never quite said anything funny at all.

the rest of the cast did a decent job and the acting was fine, it even had a bit of originality when the actors in a "horror" movie actually used a bit of common sense but the whole thing was just lacking something for me.

I don't recommend this movie at all but if your bored and don't want to think for an hour and a half then it might be worth a rent.

I Have to say i have seen some pretty bad movies in my time and i actually quite like bad horror movies. I'm a huge fan of B Movies and independent film unfortunately you occasionally get your fingers burned like i did with Mr Hell.

One thing i'm happy about is i never paid to see this movie if i had i would have demanded my money back directly from the film makers. there's just no excuse for a movie this bad.

It looks terrible, the acting is awful, the diolouge is some of the worst i have ever seen in a low budget film and thats saying something.

worst of all it wasn't scary at all the FX where terrible and its attempts at humour where utterly horrible.

I wish i could give this movie less than a rating of 1 but unfortunately i cant however if i can say anything positive the gore is plentifull avoid this movie, regardless of your taste in film i guarantee you wont like this its impossible to find anything at all good to say about it.

it gets a 0.5 rating in my book and the 0.5 is there purely for the gore.

Awful, Awful, Awful...

The first thing that appealed to me about this movie was the fact it was a UK/Australian production and the cast looked fantastic on watching the movie i was not disappointed.

The film was very authentic and real (sometimes unsettlingly real)and the thing that makes this so apparent is the characters. There are no good guys and bad guys as such just people surviving in a harsh land every character has a light and a dark side but most rely heavily on the dark side of there personalities.

Ray Winstone plays the troubled Captain very well and i was pleasantly surprised at Guy Pierce's excellent Irish accent. The rest of the cast did a very good job and added to the authenticity and the harsh backdrop.

The movie, at times is bloody and graphic and the final scene's are hard to watch but very necessary to the story, you never feel as if it is gratuitous violence.

The film has some haunting moments and and the soundtrack is used wonderfully as is the occasional voice over. Nick cave has done a brilliant job with the script and i'll look forward to seeing more of his work.

I fully recommend this film it might not be to everyones taste but i fail to see how someone could dislike this movie.

This was one of those movies i really didn't fancy or have any desire to watch however there was nothing on TV tonight and it was on one of the sky movie channels and i thought what the hell, and i'm glad i did.

It had a number of moments that made me think "thats so the way it is" or "holy crap i think like that sometimes" It really hit a nerve with me and i found it truly wonderful.

Its essentially a coming of age comedy but it has a certain originality both with the characters and the diolouge if you liked American beauty i think you'll no doubt like this.

I'm not sure how well this movie will translate to the older generation if you have hit 30 it may not have as much of a profound effect but it will still be very enjoyable.

At times its laugh out loud funny and often very sad, its shot beautifully and the soundtrack was just amazing. I would recommend this movie to anyone even if you don't think you'll like it give it a chance, its funny Garden State and American Beauty where both movies i really did not want to watch but they have became two of my favourite movies.

This is a low budget movie and the lack of locations etc... does show that, however it was a lot better than i expected and i'm happy about that because I like Shaun Patrick Flannery.

The dialogue at points in the movie was a little hammy and the director used the same stock shot several times (although this may have been to save money) but in general the story line was pretty good and the acting was OK.

This may not be for everyone and draws a lot of comparisons with Constantine (which i also enjoyed) so if you liked that you may like this.

I suppose my final comments would be that its a very average movie but it did entertain me for an hour and a half and for a movie based on a video game it was a lot better than any other i have seen lately especially any Uwe Boll movie.

There are many things that have already been said about this movie and Uwe Boll so i will try to focus on the positive aspects (although they are few and far between).

This is the best of a bad bunch of films by a terrible director hence the 2 stars i gave it (the rest of his movies deserve 1 or below). The movie is a confused mess and even the top names that appear in the film can't save it from the awful dialouge and directing. It remains a mystery to me how Uwe can get the talented actors to appear in his movies and how he manages every time to pull the worst performance of there career.

The exception in bloodrayne is Michelle Rodriguez who manages to be convincing even with the lack of direction and awful script i only hope the movie does not damage the careers of any of the other amazing actors who appear in this crapfest.

Despite being burnt time and time again i'm sure i will watch dungeon siege (i'm also pretty sure i'll hate it and kick myself again) and will continue to hold on to the slight hope that one day Uwe will actually make a good job of one of his movies because the video game fan in me still gets excited by the concept of game to movie franchise's.

If you are like me regardless of what I or anyone else says you will watch this movie just remember when your trying to throw yourself off a bridge for putting yourself through another Uwe Boll flick that one day he will be dead it is that thought alone allows me to continue to watch his crap.

I tried to focus on the positive aspects of this movie but after proof reading what i wrote i can see i failed, oh well i did try.

I Got this movie a few days ago and was not expecting much from it and to be honest i got what i expected, not much. I think that with a good script and decent actors the director could make a fantastic scary movie because there are a few genuinely unnerving moments. The scares are text book and there is nothing original in there but it did make me jump once or twice. The problem with the movie was the diolouge and the acting both of which where just horrible and actually made me laugh out loud (even though it really wasn't meant to be funny). I would watch another movie from the same director because as i said i think he has some talent however i would think twice about watching any movie with the same actors. I find it hard to recommend this movie so all i will say is don't expect much if you do rent this movie and you may well enjoy the occasional good bits.

I cant say much about this movie other than its wonderfully strange. It has an appeal that is not only beautiful but scary and intelligent and never asks the viewer to understand whats going on fully it just guides you through the story with a slightly sick feeling in your stomach because deep down in some small way you know that you relate to the central character even if its just for a passing moment.

This is not a run of the mill slasher type horror movie and explores the characters more than most in the genre especially the first relationship between may and the man with "perfect hands" i wouldn't rent the movie if your looking for a no brainer but if you want a horror with a little more substance and just the right amount of dark humour this is the one for you.

I seen this movie for the first time a couple of years ago just by chance on one of the sky movie channels and since must have seen it 100 times.

The movie is well written with a lot of black humor scattered about throughout the film. It does try to take itself a little to seriously in places and forgets its a very good and clever action movie and trys to convey a moral message and ask a question about the state of the world and just how right the vengeance of boondock saints actually is. putting this to one side the movie does stir up emotions and i have to admit feeling slightly like buying several big guns and cleaning up my town every time i watch the movie. It affected me enough to get the whole of my back tattooed with an image based on the movie and I'm very proud to say the tattoo can be seen on the official movie site. The film runs in an unusual order that many people compare to Pulp Fiction however it is nothing like you simply see the crime scene before you see what actually happened to cause it this is the best feature of the movie and extremely fun watching agent Smecker trying to work out what the saints had done and who they are. An exceptional movie and well recommended.
