Black Mirror: Joan Is Awful (2023)
Season 6, Episode 1
10/10
I'm frankly shocked Netflix allowed this to air
15 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I mean the is episode is just a scathing attack on the corporate monster that is Netflix. I mean the fact that I believe this Is something Netflix would do to produce content says it all. And I really loved the bits where They just rip into "Streamberrys" at Joan's house. It's also a good reminder that we agree to all kinds of things without realising it by agreeing to terms and services. I thought the multiverse twist was great a even Joan 1 explanation that nothing she does will change anything because source Joan had already done it was very introspective. In the infinite multiverses nothing is real because their actions are just a copy of what their original self did. I mean this episodes in my opinion is absolutely horrifying conceptually as it implies that in these multiverses there is absolutely no free will so all of these people are essentially slaves to the computer. And also that a company would show your deepest fears to you to get you to completely lose track of reason and do more stupid things. I mean this is what the news has been doing for decades but it's just less personal so I could completely believe it. Great episodes.

The Boys: Herogasm (2022)
Season 3, Episode 6
10/10
I was not expecting THIS from herogasm
24 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Amazing fights, absolutely sublime character work. I was expecting just a sex based episode but this show excels at everything else. It actually feels like they tried to build hype for the Sadistic sex to take focus away from the main story. When in reality they gave us one of the best episodes of television I have ever seen. MM getting over his addiction with Soldier Boy, kamico and Frenchie trying to reconcile with their nature. Hughie finally breaking being unable to deal with being the less powerful in the relationship. A-train realising that he at fault for all the awful things he's done. Homelander finally snapping completely and losing his last shred of humanity. And the best has to go to Annie January(formally starlight) for finally taking a stand and essentially forfeiting her life to do the right thing. The fight in this episode actually had me convulsing. Billy lasering homelander. AMAZING. The writers of this show should be so proud of them selves. It's just simply a masterpiece also the comedy in this episode was top tier. MM getting absolutely SOAKED in cum, was frankly one of the funniest things I have ever seen. And Soldier boy talking about how Bill Cosby was a real man AND THE IMAGINE SONG COVER AMAZING.

Severance: The We We Are (2022)
Season 1, Episode 9
10/10
Nothing short of a masterpiece.
8 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This show is simply incredible. The actors are simply incredible. The framing, cinematography, lighting, music ect... are all incredible. Britt's and adam's physical acting was sublime in this episode, ever one of their scenes they was able to convey the confusion tension and vitriol of their situations. I really cannot gush about this show enough. Ben stiller has created a master piece on par with west world season 1 or mr robot. Whilst I wanted to know more the final scene was a amazing cliffhanger that's gonna have me thinking about this show for the next 335 days till we get season 2.

Incredible I didn't think they could do it. Why did I doubt them
14 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly everything I wanted got massive end of season 3 vibes two full seasons of setup and the final explosion at the end. I honestly think 6 episodes was enough. The story this season needed very little characters development and setup as that was all done in season 5. I am absolutely gutted that it's coming to an end. But I have a feeling that the seeds have been planted for something more. And I love it. Wonderful ending. Wonderful show. My personal favourite of all time. Yam Sang Beltaloda.

Invasion: First Day (2021)
Season 1, Episode 10

Nothing happened
10 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
That's it. Nothing actually happened in this show. Non of the plot threads feel like they mattered it's clear that they planned for this show to be two seasons but you can't just leave all but one thread completely upended. It only feels like the Japanese story line mattered at all if you don't look past this. And that's was incredibly boring. No one cares about this girls obsession because we don't know hitana past what we are told. There is a rule in good films and tv called show don't tell. Clearly they have never heard of that because we don't see anything we are just told about it. As for the ending loved the ship design but it just felt so unfinished. Nothing mattered I don't like having my leg pulled for 10 episodes believing that the next one might actually have something happen in it.

Invasion: Full of Stars (2021)
Season 1, Episode 9
3/10
Why does it feel like non of the plot threads matter or are actually reasonable connected.
3 December 2021
Firstly, I think the space suit was in her mind I think she's probably been induced into a dream like state and is being used by the alien (unsuccessfully it seems) because you can't "swim" through space like that. This show is a prime example of were show don't tell would be fantastic. We keep hearing about the scale of this invasion but we haven't seen anything to back this up. I have no concept of what is actually going on because all I have to base my imagination off of is a couple broadcasts and generals telling me how bad it is. That's not how do this kind of story. Also we get another episode so this opinion might change but if the nuke works and it's shut down the alien hive mind. What is the point of every other story thread. It seams like they wanted to connect the Japan and London story's but having Caspar should wajo. Doesn't connect them. Why do they Japanese delegates even tolerate this little brat who can't bare for things to not go her way. She is so unlikeable and stereotypical. The only way I could summarise this show is confused and boing.

Ted Lasso: Do the Right-est Thing (2021)
Season 2, Episode 3
9/10
Great episode. Silly in reality
6 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I love this as an episode of television but there are two things that bother me.

1. They say they are paying prem players with championship money. That's not true when a club gets relegated from the prem they receive "parachute" payments from the premier league to make sure the club doesn't run over budget with the significant loss in income. Just a modicum of research would show you this.

2. You can not treat a sponsor as they do in the episode. I understand taking a stand and that's fine. Players do that (Griezmann for example) but the whole squad doing that without consoling the manager or owner is not only Stupid but selfish. People often forget the plethora of support staff that work at football clubs. (Medics, kit staff, office workers) if you lose your main sponsor it's not the players, manager or owner who gets hit. It's all the support staff who are non-essential. Many will get sacked to compensate for the lack of funds. In reality a non essential player like same would most likely be released after the initial refusal. And would 100% be released after the antics at the match. Also a stunt like that would most likely put off and future sponsors as they wouldn't want to risk the bad press.

They did Ben Barns so dirty.
26 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There were many times throughout the season I wanted them to be more retaliated about the darkling. Whilst he did create the fold. It clearly wasn't because he's evil. It's because he was distraught from the death of his wife/Partner And felt the same could be coming from his entire family. I wish they had gone deeper into seeing his people slaughtered and taken advantage of over a millennia. It might just be Ben barns being a fantastic actor. But I feel like the character genuinely just wanted what's best for his people. The west ravkins had been selling out grisha to the fyrdens to be slaughtered. They were by no means good people. They even tried to have Alina assassinated because she could reunited the empire. I just feel they could have made it harder for the viewers to decide who is right or wrong not tell us who is right or wrong.

Great episode but not sure I'm coming back for season 3
30 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I mean without Melanie there is almost no reason to watch this show anymore. I mean Sean bean was a superb this season. I do feel he lost a bit of his unique psychological aspect at the end but non the less fantastic unique villain with a fantastic god complex. But Melanie was the heart and soul of this show. It just won't be the same without her. Especially with Leyton taking her role I think we all know about his acting in the show. Also the way she left the show feels like the producers couldn't get her back to finish shooting the show. She will be missed.

WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)

I genuinely loved this show so much. But the ending just turned into a generic marvel movie
5 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This has to be the most unique and interesting thing to come out of marvel in years. And it was fantastic. I loved every minute of the first 8 episodes. But for me the final episode threw all of that our the window. It make Agatha a boring villain with the same "give me your power so I can be stronger" intentions. Nothing unique about that. Then when Monica said "they don't know what you had to do For them" it completely lost me. She's the one that's been thats been mind controlling them for weeks and as we found out last week no one manipulated her into doing it. Maybe I was expecting too much. But I was so so disappointed with how this ended. Just back to the generic marvel laser fights i guess.

For everyone saying this is filler you are wrong. For everyone saying this final scene doesn't make sense you are wrong.
13 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Firstly, to everyone saying this is soapy filler. This show has always about human connection and this episode is no different we get to see Naomi go from believing she has broken through with her son. To being completely crushed as she is abandoned and used as a tool to kill her family and the man she loves. Dominique, keon, filip and cyn absolutely bring their A game. The acting is absolutely phenomenal. In the final scene people are complaining about how this is completely wrong. Funny that they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. You can survive in vacuum for as long as you have oxygen in your blood. One of the reasons we see most people die from vacuum exposure is because they are holding their breath. This cause a pressure differential between your lungs and the vacuum causing significant damage to your lungs. Therefore killing you. We can clearly see that Naomi purposefully exhales before being exposed to the vacuum. She the receives pretty serious radiation burns which is also scientifically accurate. She then uses the same injection of oxygenated blood we see in episode 3 to keep herself from passing out due to oxygen deprivation. There is not a single thing that is wrong with that scene and i don't understand why people are talking like they actually know what they are talking about. This episode was fantastic.

Utopia (2020)

Why don't we take a terrifying multi national force and turn it into scary pharmaceutical company that's plan doesn't even work.
29 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The network in the original was terrifying because they could do WHATEVER they wanted no one was out of reach and you could talk to no one because they would also die. the things they did to Micheal where horrible and the fact that no one could help you was what made Milner such a compelling ally to the group. Instead they turn it into a small group that Rely on children to do there dirty work. No government control. No corrupt ministers or CIA MI5 working for them. Just a billionaire big pharma guy with a plan that won't work. I never felt like the "harvest" had the large scope of the network which took all the fear out of the equation for the group. If found the guards at the warehouse to be an absolute joke compared to the armed soldiers that captured the original group. Pathetic if you gonna remake an original show either change the story in a meaningful way. Or try and keep what made the original great. Sadly they did neither. And the butchering of Milners character just to keep her as the main villain is INSULTING

Clark is actually the bad guy. Big props to maddy for making the tough choices
17 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I mean honestly. She is willing to let the whole of sanctum and all her friends die for someone who she give no choice. She let so so so many people die because she is so unbelievably selfish. I just know she is going to slaughter hundreds upon hundreds of people. Because she is fundamentally an evil person. Stan Maddy tho she is fully willing to sacrifice herself to minimise the suffering of others. That's what Clark would have done before she because the main villain of the show

Why would this guy be fighting in northrend WOTLK came out 10 years ago
23 August 2020
It love the episode and the switch up was great but if you gonna use WoW references at least get it right like I said in the title wrath of the lich king came out 10 years ago he would most likely be raiding in nazjatar or Ny'alotha and I'm almost 100% sure no one calls it a party anymore it's a raid group. But again loved the episode. Don't use pop culture you don't understand
