Fave actors/actresses and performances

PERFORMANCES: Anne Boleyn in "The Tudors" --- Margaery Tyrell in "Game of Thrones"

Generally she is just amazing, but those are my two favourite performances =P

I love all his performances in general, 'cause he's so versatile he just IS the person he plays! But I must say that his Sherlock is my favourite of the Sherlock Holmes' there's been.. and his performance in "Atonement" is amazing as well, cause I really feel the "hate" towards the character, despite loving the actor!

I feel like the top should just say: "Performances: ALL!!" =P

This is hard; I love him as Jack Sparrow cause he's so funny and weird and.. amazing..! His performance in "Edward Scissorhands" is so touching! And in "Sleepy Hollow" he's just so odd and great too!

PERFORMANCE: Alice in "Closer"

She's also one of those actresses I just generally love to watch..

Though many people will probably disagree, I loved her performance as Irene Adler in the 2009 film "Sherlock Holmes" ... I enjoyed her in "The Family Stone" as well.

PERFORMANCE: Mr. Tumnus in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"

*The man who made me fall in love with a faun* Oh, he's got so many good performances! I love him in: Penelope, Becoming Jane, Atonement, X-Men: First Class and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (which was the first film I saw him in!)

PERFORMANCES: Amy Dorrit in "Little Dorrit" --- Adora Belle Dearheart in "Going Postal"

This woman has a fantastic career in front of her, I'm sure.. I sadly haven't seen half the stuff she's been in, but I can say that her performances in: Little Dorrit, Going Postal and Season of the Witch are AMAZING!

It's hard to put my finger on a specific performance of hers, but she's someone that I'm sure will have a long and amazing career as well.. that said I do love her in "Atonement" and "Wild Child" (yes, I know it's kind of teen-movie, but I enjoy watching it now and again :P)

PERFORMANCES: Loki in "Thor"/"Avengers Assemble"/"Thor: The Dark World" --- Hal/Henry V in "The Hollow Crown" (Episode 2,3,4)

Bit of a boring choice, I suppose - cause honestly, who doesn't love Loki?! ...however I also REALLY enjoyed his performance in The Hollow Crown (as Prince Hal/Henry V). Amazing. Haven't disliked any performances I've seen so far.. and honestly I never expect I will =P Also my daughter looooves "Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy" and for a while I only had it on my iPad with the English audio track - let's just say I think she would know him instantly from the voice alone by now =P

PERFORMANCES: Alice Morgan in "Luther" --- Jane Eyre in "Jane Eyre"

Well, she's just amazing, isn't she!? I love everything about her. Her character on "Luther", Alice Morgan, is mind-blowingly awesome! Really, if you need a reason to start watching Luther, it is the knowledge that Alice Morgan will be your favourite female psychopath! =P Also very pleased to see her appearing in more and more "big films" (The Lone Ranger, Saving Mr. Banks, etc.)

PERFORMANCE: The (eleventh) Doctor in "Doctor Who"

OK, so when David Tennant left Doctor Who I was a mess.. I was heartbroken, and convinced that no one would ever be able to replace the Time Lord I had "fallen for". In comes Matt Smith (yes, I knew who he was when he was announced, unlike many people) and 10 - maybe 20 minutes into the first episode I was nodding, smiling and going "ooh, this might work!" ....fast forward to now, I am DEVASTATED that Matt Smith isn't playing the Doctor anymore.. he managed to kick David Tennant out of my little Whovian heart and replace him as THE Doctor in my mind. I can't imagine anyone ever replacing him. He was the Doctor I'd been waiting for. My Doctor.

PERFORMANCE: Killian 'Hook' Jones in "Once Upon a Time" (season 2,3)

I'll admit I don't think I'd watched him in anything else (besides the one episode of The Tudors he was in - which I obviously loved =P) when he was introduced on Once Upon a Time. And I'm such a cliché that I obviously love a bad boy (especially in a leather coat - not to mention a PIRATE!) so I'm not really that surprised that I love the character, but honestly, he just does it so well!

PERFORMANCES: Tiffany Maxwell in "Silver Linings Playbook" --- Raven/Mystique in "X-Men: First Class"/"X-Men: Days of Future Past"

I admit I haven't actually seen Jennifer Lawrence in that much - really the amount of chat shows and interviews (and acceptance speeches) far surpasses the performances, I'm sure.. however she's just got a wonderful personality - and a massive talent. How everyone can't be in love with her, I have no idea.. I'd go gay for her =P eheheh

PERFORMANCES: Guy of Gisbourne in "Robin Hood" --- Lucas North in "Spooks"

Another actor I just love seeing in everything he does..

PERFORMANCES: Matty Beckett in "The Fear" --- Viserys Targaryen in "Game of Thrones" (season 1, episode 1-6)

Again a super talented actor, who is always amazing ... also did a two-parter of Doctor Who, where he played a villain.. took me ages to realize it was him, for some reason =P

PERFORMANCE: Hatter in "Alice" (Syfy-miniseries, 2009)

The first thing I saw him in was Syfy's Alice.. he was so bloody fabulous in it that I just needed another fix of him straight away, and ended up buying the series 1-3 box set of Primeval, because he was a lead in it. (I totally fell in love with that show. =P) ...his character on it - Connor Temple - is lovely, and I probably should have mentioned him as well, in the "performance" thingy to be honest.

PERFORMANCES: Richard III in "The White Queen" --- David Bailey in "We'll Take Manhattan"

The first thing I saw him in was We'll Take Manhattan, which got me totally hooked on him, as he was EXCELLENT in it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll be cast in "The Night Circus" as the male lead, Marco Alisdair, as he's how I've been imagining him, when reading the book (which is my favourite, btw. =P)

PERFORMANCES: Moist von Lipwig in "Going Postal" --- Tom Lowe in "Crossbones"

The first thing I saw him in was "Coupling" - totally loved it, not to mention HIM; his character is so out there and you can't help but find him adorable and repulsive at the same time. Currently I'm enjoying his performance on NBC's "Crossbones" - especially as he's reunited with Claire Foy, who also plays his love-interest in "Going Postal"

PERFORMANCE: Tom Jackman (Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde) in "Jekyll"

The first thing I remember seeing him in, where I actually became aware of his name and such was in "Canterbury Tales" - The Miller's Tale, which I initially watched because Billie Piper was in it.. excellent in that as well! =D

PERFORMANCES: Nathan Young in "Misfits" --- Billy in "Me and Mrs Jones"

Sadly the latter wasn't renewed after the first series; a shame really, as it was a very charming show.

PERFORMANCE: Ben in "Driving Lessons"

By far the most naturally talented of "the Golden Trio" - at least when it comes to acting. Very versatile actor as well!

PERFORMANCES: Amy Pond on "Doctor Who" --- Nebula in "Guardians of the Galaxy"

Another person I love just as much for her personality as her acting talent. And what a talent indeed.

PERFORMANCE: Elizabeth of York on "The White Queen"

Another extremely talented young lady. The first time I saw her was on Skins series 5, where she played Mini. I may not have liked the character to begin with, but it was obvious that the girl could act!

PERFORMANCES: Robert Langdon in "The Da Vinci Code"/"Angels and Demons" --- Viktor Navorski in "The Terminal" --- Walt Disney in "Saving Mr Banks" --- Joe Fox in "You've Got Mail"

Now I'll be honest, I'm not one of those people who think Forrest Gump is one of the greatest films ever made - sorry, but I don't. However I've always been a huge fan of Tom Hanks - ever since I watched "Splash" as a little girl - and it hardly needs saying that he's a magnificent actor, so in this case the performances mentioned above is more the films I love, that he's in, than what I'd deem "his greatest moments" as it were.

PERFORMANCES: Giacomo Casanova in "Casanova" --- Tenth Doctor on "Doctor Who"

My first 'meeting' with Mr Tennant was in the fourth Harry Potter film, which somehow a few years later lead to me watching "Doctor Who" and becoming obsessed with the show. Done a lot of great (and different) characters through the years.

PERFORMANCES: Troels Hartmann on "The Killing" --- Jens Otto Krag on "Krøniken" --- The Necromancer in "The Island of Lost Souls"

One of my favourite Danish actors (unlike his even more famous younger Brother, Mads! Yuck..) ...I mentioned his performance as the Necromancer as it was brilliant and chilling, even if people tend to diss the film! Random trivia: He does a lot of dubbing on various films/shows, including Miley's dad on "Hannah Montana" =P

PERFORMANCE: Sarah/Cosima/Alison/Helena/etcetera on "Orphan Black"

Yeah... pretty much. Amazing.

PERFORMANCE: Benjamin Gates in "National Treasure"/"National Treasure: Book of Shadows"

Well.. I had to mention some "action stars" as well - it can't all be drama and seriousness =P

PERFORMANCES: Stuart Shorter in "Stuart: A Life Backwards" --- Eames in "Inception" --- Heathcliff in "Wuthering Heights"

He was also pretty great (and unrecognisable!) in The Dark Knight Rises!

PERFORMANCES: President James Marshall in "Air Force One" --- Quinn Harris in "6 Days, 7 Nights"

Living legend...

PERFORMANCES: Dr Hannibal Lector in "Silence of the Lambs"/"Hannibal"/"Red Dragon" --- Odin in "Thor"/"Thor: The Dark World" --- Don Diego de la Vega in "The Mask of Zorro" --- William Parrish in "Meet Joe Black"

Honestly, there are WAY to many great performances to mention. I put his performance as Odin on the list, because of how much he actually managed to make me hate him during the 2nd film.

PERFORMANCES: Lord Blackwood in "Sherlock Holmes" --- Septimus in "Stardust"

Now he is one of those 'chameleon' actors, where as soon as you come to notice him and remember who he is and such, you'll be rewatcing things and suddenly realize how many times you've actually seen him before. Amazing actor!

PERFORMANCE: King George VI in "The King's Speech"

Yeah, I'm boring and went with the obvious one. I'm sorry, but otherwise I'd have to mention every single film he's done. Always amazing.

PERFORMANCE: Robert Angier in "The Prestige"

In my opinion "The Prestige" is one of the greatest films ever made, so obviously that's the performance I'm gonna mention.

PERFORMANCE: The Dream Lord on "Doctor Who" (Episode: Amy's Choice)

Now, this is another actor, who I feel manages to turn up in practically everything I watch! Hardly needs saying; the man's amazing!

PERFORMANCES: Anders Assing in "Lykke" --- Toby Esterhase in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" ---

Another Danish favourite (technically he's Swedish, but I have claimed him on behalf of my country!). Been so exciting seeing him pop up in various films and shows in the past few years. And I'm very excited to seeing him in a lot of things in the next year's time (especially in "Serena").

PERFORMANCE: Tony Blair in "The Queen"

Amazing actor.. not much else to say, I suppose.

PERFORMANCE: Gene Hunt on "Life on Mars"/"Ashes to Ashes"

Currently enjoying watching him as Mr. Gunn on the 2nd series of BBC's "Big School"

PERFORMANCES: The Master on "Doctor Who" --- Sam Tyler on "Life on Mars"

I love John Simm! I first came to know him as the Master on Doctor Who, and following that I watched Life on Mars, which is just an utterly fabulous show. Honestly, the man is amazing in everything, and I almost felt like listing a lot more performances, as the two I mentioned are really just 'scratching the surface'.. Very excited to see his new BBC America show, The Intruders, as well..
