Mirela Rupic is a costume and fashion designer with an eye for details. Born on March 21st, 1976 in Orange County, California, Mirela discovered her passion for designing from an early age. As a child, nothing made her happier than watching her mother patch clothes on their old sewing machine, which had been in their family for generations. Once her mother taught her how to make garments by sewing, fashion design became Mirela’s biggest preoccupation. During school hours, she would make sketches for her dolls and hurry home to sew them. With time, her passion for creation kept on growing and by the time she finished high school, there was no doubt in her mind that fashion design is the career path for her. So, Rupic moved down to San Diego and enrolled at the Woodbury University from where she graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design. Mirela Rupic launched her own brand in 1999. Her collections for the brand were focused on wearable designs featuring feminine silhouettes and intricate details. Today, this fashion designer enjoys a reputation for consistently being ahead of trends with her exotic and glamorous designs.
