PGA Awards 2020 — Outstanding Movie Producer?
by urbanemovies | created - 26 Jan 2016 | updated - 13 Jan 2023 | PublicThe Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures is one of the premiere honors bestowed annually by the Producers Guild of America. It is unique among other major award season ceremonies in its intent to honor producers first and films second. Another distinctive aspect is the award is determined exclusively by P.G.A. producers. In contrast, the Oscars allows members of all seventeen branches that comprise the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to submit nominations for and vote on the final Best Film ballot, rather than just the producers branch. Some find the producer guild award to be more meaningful than other 'so-called' producer awards; since it is a peer award from individuals who can fully comprehend the challenges of the position.
Which of the 2020 Producers Guild of America nominees for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for 'Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures' do you think should win?
