‘’What we do in life echoes in eternity.’’- General Maximus, ‘’Gladiator’’

“In sinning, each man sins against all, and each man is at least partly guilty for another's sin. There is no isolated sin.”- Fyodor Dostoyevsky

“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.’’- Lao Tzu

“If you want to change your life you have to raise your standards.”- Tony Robbins

''The American people don’t believe anything until they see it on Television''- Richard Nixon

“To act without clear understanding, to form habits without investigation, to follow a path all one's life without knowing where it really leads -- such is the behavior of the multitude.”- Mencius

''-why do you think that Truman has never come close to discovering the true nature of his world until now? -We accept the reality of the world with which we're presented. It's as simple as that.''- The Truman Show (1998)

‘’The hallmark of a healthy mind is an unyielding willingness to face the truth, no matter how dire.’’- M. Scott Peck, ‘’The Road Less Traveled’’, Timeless Edition

''The truth is something that burns. It burns off dead wood. And people don't like having the dead wood burnt off, often because they're 95 percent dead wood.''- Jordan Peterson

“Above all, do not lie to yourself. A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth either in himself or anywhere around him, and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others. Not respecting anyone, he ceases to love, and having no love, he gives himself up to the passions and coarse pleasures, in order to occupy and amuse himself, and in his vices reaches complete bestiality, and it all comes from lying continually to others and to himself.”- Fyodor Dostoevsky

“The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.”- St. Augustine

''The worth and excellency of a soul is to be measured by the object of its love''- Henry Scougal, The Life of God in the Soul of Man

‘’The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.’’- Proverbs 11:30, Berean Study Bible

'I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction 'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try''- (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction- The Rolling Stones

‘’Because God has made us for Himself, our hearts are restless until they rest in Him.’’- St. Augustine

“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.”- Blaise Pascal

“Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it. God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead, He set before your eyes the things that He had made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that?”- St. Augustine

Evangelist Ray Comfort talks a lot about the fact that an intelligently designed creation implies an intelligent Creator. A creation having/ being with a free will, a personhood and a sense of justice must be created by a creator having (at a minimum) same abilities. You can’t give that what you don’t have. If something exists now it means that something has always existed because if there was a time in the past when nothing existed then nothing would exist now. Nothing comes from nothing (Latin: ex nihilo nihil fit.) For more information about this watch a video named ''RC Sproul Interviews Ben Stein - discovery.org/expelled''

’For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.’’- Romans 1:20, New Living Translation Bible

‘’Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.’’- Romans 2:14- 15, NLT Bible

‘’ God is closer to us than we are to God.’’

''Come close to God, and God will come close to you.''- James 4:8 New Living Translation Bible

''You are as close to God as you choose to be.'' '''Every day do something that will lead you closer to God.''

''Closeness To God Is All On You''- a sermon by Francis Chan

“I have read in Plato and Cicero sayings that are wise and very beautiful; but I have never read in either of them: Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens.”- Saint Augustine about the Gospel

“To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.’’- St. Augustine

“What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.”- St. Augustine of Hippo, Confessions

‘’A Christian is: a mind through which Christ thinks, a heart through which Christ loves, a voice through which Christ speaks, and a hand through which Christ helps.’’- St. Augustine

“For I do not seek to understand in order that I may believe, but I believe in order to understand. For this also I believe-that unless I believe I shall not understand.”- St. Anselm

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."

This is where my metaphysical journey has led me so far, ''Beauty is mysterious as well as terrible. God and devil are fighting there, and the battlefield is the heart of man.''- Fyodor Dostoevsky

Evil is an inversion or corruption of Imago Dei/ the Image of God. Evil is corruption of the natural order as it is created by the uncreated and Perfect God. Sin is missing the target. Evil is a thought or action which breaks the perfect or permissible will of the All Knowing and Perfect God that Christ Jesus summarized like this. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”- Matthew 22:37-40, Berean Study Bible

‘’What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter. What sorrow for those who are wise in their own eyes and think themselves so clever. What sorrow for those who are heroes at drinking wine and boast about all the alcohol they can hold.’’- Isaiah 5:20- 22, Holy Bible

''Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.''- 1 Peter 5:8, Holy Bible

‘’Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;’’- Ephesians 5:11, Holy Bible

‘’Do not treat prophecies with contempt, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.’’- 1 Thessalonians 5:20-23, Holy Bible

“I have been reading poems, romances, vision literature, legends, and myths all my life. I know what they are like. I know none of them are like this. Of this [gospel] text there are only two possible views. Either this is reportage…or else, some unknown [ancient] writer…without known predecessors or successors, suddenly anticipated the whole technique of modern novelistic realistic narrative.’’- C.S. Lewis on reading the gospels

“Now the story of Christ is simply a true myth: a myth working on us the same way as the others, but with this tremendous difference that it really happened: and one must be content to accept it in the same way, remembering that it is God’s myth where the others are men’s myths: i.e., the Pagan stories are God expressing Himself through the minds of poets, using such images as He found there, while Christianity is God expressing Himself through what we call 'real things'.”- C.S. Lewis

“Defend the Bible? I’d sooner defend a lion. You don’t defend the Bible; you open its cage and let it roar.”- Charles H. Spurgeon

“For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.’’-2 Peter 1:16 ESV Bible

“Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.’’-John 3:5- 6, New Living Translation Bible

‘’ The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.’’- 1 Corinthians 2:14, Berean Study Bible

“The proof that the little prince existed is that he was charming, that he laughed, and that he was looking for a sheep. If anybody wants a sheep, that is a proof that he exists.”- Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince The name Exupery is a boy's name meaning "excel, surpass". Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was a French writer and aviator, most famous for the children's classic novella The Little Prince.

“If you wish to glimpse inside a human soul and get to know a man ... just watch him laugh. If he laughs well, he's a good man.’’- Fyodor Dostoevsky

‘’If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don't like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself.’’- St. Augustine

‘’Take care of your body as if you were going to live forever; and take care of your soul as if you were going to die tomorrow.’’- St. Augustine

‘’Two criminals were crucified with Christ. One was saved; do not despair. One was not; do not presume.’’- St. Augustine

‘’God has promised forgiveness to your repentance, but He has not promised tomorrow to your procrastination.’’- St. Augustine

“God is always trying to give good things to us, but our hands are too full to receive them.”- St. Augustine, City of God

“Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.”

‘’Let us leave a little room for reflection in our lives, room too for silence. Let us look within ourselves and see whether there is some delightful hidden place inside where we can be free of noise and argument. Let us hear the Word of God in stillness and perhaps we will then come to understand it.’’- St. Augustine
