From classical dance form to contemporary or Bollywood style, dance is a form of expression that helps convey different emotions; it is also an art that relaxes mind and body. For some, dance is a passion while others do it as a hobby or for physical fitness. On International Dance Day, TV actors spoke about their interest in dancing and also shared their favourite Bollywood celebrity dancers.
Shubhangi Atre, who is popular for playing Angoori bhabhi in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’, said that she is fond of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s dancing and called it the epitome of dance in Bollywood.
“I enjoy watching her dance with so much grace and style on screen. No one can match her perfection. The title ‘Dancing Diva’ is genuinely hers. As a dance enthusiast, I could watch her perform for hours, and her expressions and smiles were captivating. She inspired me to pursue my passion for dancing.

For a family with a surname that connotes love, the Valentino clan of upstate New York has enough issues to be straight out of a Chekhov play. Pieter Gaspersz’s After sets them in the winter of 2002, and among other things, gruff patriarch Mitch (John Doman) is emotionally distant, obsessed with illegal immigration, and disapproving of his daughter Maxine (Sabrina Gennarino), who desires to marry her long-term, African-American boyfriend, Andy (Darrin Dewitt Henson); eldest son Christian (Pablo Schreiber) is struggling to keep the family stonecutting business afloat; younger and frequently squeaky-voiced son, Nicky (Adam Scarimbolo), is an ex-con and all-around screwup; and brittle matriarch Nora (Kathleen Quinlan) obsesses over VHS tapes sent by prodigal daughter ...

Robert (Darrin Dewitt Henson) is a nice, thoughtful painter, who is regrettably fired from his job by longtime friend and boss Nate (Josh Ventura). The reason for Robert’s firing is initially unclear, though we later learn that it is because Nate has been sleeping with Robert’s girlfriend, Mita (Erica Hubbard). You’d expect this to be an unbearably fraught reveal, but it is more or less handled with playful civility. In fact, not a single conflict in Black Coffee is played above mild annoyance. That should have been the first warning sign that this isn’t a particularly interesting movie.
Robert’s same-day dumping and firing is mended by the comforting words of his cousin Julian (Christian Keyes). Julian is a wisecracking coffee impresario who has quickly turned his fortune around by living a simple mantra: black people should be entrepreneurs and not employees. Julian is convinced that...

Coffee Mate: Harris’s Latest a Heavy-handed, Yet Welcome Reprieve from the Norm
A professed self-taught filmmaker, director Mark Harris’ latest film, Black Coffee, exudes a marked improvement in his mastery of the medium in that there are few technical related distractions in what stands as his fourth feature. With that in mind, the screenplay is another story altogether, peppered with certain elements that seem so out of touch the film might as well be described as science fiction. Paired with what appears to be a lack of understanding toward women (especially concerning its female protagonist, who is shown as unabashedly subservient in every regard, including in an occupation that glaringly supersedes that of her romantic interest’s) and blunt, overarching messages that are delivered with all the finesse of a barbed sledgehammer, one would assume that Harris’ latest is a valiantly woebegone effort. Happily, that’s not really the case,...

Writer/director Mark Harris (“Black Butterfly”) is hoping for a little sugar on Jan. 10, when his romantic comedy “Black Coffee” opens in eight locations in select cities nationwide. “Coffee” — which Harris bills as “the first black romantic comedy of the year” — stars Darrin Dewitt Henson (“Stomp the Yard”), Gabrielle Dennis (“Bring it On”) and Tiffany Hines (“Bones,” “90210″). It’s the story of a man (Henson) who loses his job and his girlfriend (Dennis) on the same day — and his friends’ attempt to get him back on his feet in both the dating and professional world. The film won Outstanding Picture of the Year with Viola Davis winning Outstanding Actress and Octavia Spencer taking home the Outstanding Supporting Actress award. Taylor lost to "Jumping the Broom's" Salim Akil for Best Director because apparently, it's a better picture than "The Help!"

You can count on one hand the number of videogame-to-movie adaptations that haven’t been total disappointments, and I count Dwight Little’s “Tekken” as one of the more successful ones. Granted, the bar is pretty low, but that takes nothing away from “Tekken’s” kick-ass martial arts action. Thanks to the folks at Anchor Bay Entertainment, who are releasing “Tekken” on DVD and Blu-ray July 19th, we have two copies of the “Tekken” Blu-ray to give away to two lucky winners. The Inheritance is an urban horror movie that follows five cousins, Karen (Golden Brooks), Henry (D.B. Woodside), Tyrone (Darrin Dewitt Henson), Lily (Rochelle Aytes), and Simpson (Shawn Michael Howard) on a “family reunion” type gathering to find out about their inheritance they will be receiving. Naturally it’s a horror movie so things start to go wrong for them after they arrive at the house, in the dead of winter and in the middle of nowhere. They find out things about their ancestors that they end up wishing would have just stayed a secret.
Their uncle Melvin (Keith David) plays host to the small group, there’s a party, people getting hammered and some begin to die. We see some crazy tribal shadows appear at times which are really creepy at times. Blood gets splattered and like I said before, more people die. Other relatives also show up and stories...
