General Hospital sees Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is back to her usual meddling, inadvertently causing more harm than good despite her best intentions. In a misguided attempt to help, Carly jeopardizes the fragile freedom of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who has only just returned after two and a half years away from Port Charles. Carly’s recent interference in the prison sentence of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and her unauthorized involvement in the Elq Aurora merger, has only added to the chaos on Gh.
Her actions not only land her in hot water with the law, but also put Jason at risk. Carly’s latest blunder involves her revealing vital information to Jack Brennan in prison, potentially setting off a chain of events that could end in disaster for Jason and others on the ABC soap opera.
As the drama unfolds, Carly’s actions could lead to dire consequences, potentially landing Jason in federal prison,...

The Daytime Emmy nominations were announced yesterday with quite a few surprises for Days of our Lives fans.
Overall the Peacock soap did pretty well with acting nominations for Wally Kurth (Justin), Tamara Braun (Ava), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Emily O’Brien (Gwen/Therea), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Dick Van Dyke (Timothy), and for Daytime Drama Series.
Dick’s nomination made history because, at age 98, he’s the oldest actor to earn a Daytime Emmy nomination.
However, not all Days fans were happy with the Daytime Emmy nominees.
Arianne Zucker (Nicole) was missing from the list, which was one hot topic.
Let’s take a look at what Days of our Lives fans are saying after The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations were announced.
Days of our Lives fans celebrate Dick Van Dyke historic Daytime Emmy nomination.
The hottest topic over on X (formerly Twitter) was Dick making history and adding to his already stellar career.

The fate of General Hospital’s Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) has fans freaking out that another fan favorite is headed for an exit.
It’s been a couple of weeks since Dante was shot, but the character remains in a coma.
While that really isn’t that much time in the soap world, it’s only been days in Port Charles, Gh fans are still worried about Dante.
The character is still fighting for his life after being shot by Jason’s (Steve Burton) associate.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Dante’s family is summoned to his hospital room before the week is over.
The teaser hopefully means that answers are coming about the fate of Dante.
Is Dante leaving General Hospital?
All signs point to Dante not leaving General Hospital. Although Dominic has left the ABC soap twice before in the past, the actor seems perfectly happy where he is right now.

After more than 25 years away, actress Rena Sofer returned to “General Hospital” in October 2023 as Lois Cerullo, but it looks like her time as a contract player in Port Charles has concluded. According to a recent update to the show’s credits, Sofer appears in the recurring section following perennial list leader James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine).
Although Sofer is now on recurring status, there is no official indication that she’s about to exit the series anytime soon, despite saying in a Soap Opera Digest interview that she agreed to return for a short period of time after getting a text message from the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, who had reached out to see if she’d be interested in reprising the role of Lois so that her character might help Ned (Wally Kurth) with regaining his memory after thinking he was Eddie Maine again.

General Hospital has lost its way, and adding cast members with little to no significance to the current cast has been par for the course.
The cast is so bloated, yet many longtime fan favorites have been on the back burner for so long that what was simmering is probably stuck to the pot.
Over the years, the show has morphed from the hospital drama to being more focused on the mob scene, run by none other than Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Whether viewers want to admit it or not, he has become the face of the show. He is on nearly every day and often is the center of focus for several big storylines on the daytime drama.
However, some of us remember the days of great storylines that happened at the hospital. The nursing staff has dwindled, and the doctors are few and far between these days.

General Hospital is giving fans a very special gift this holiday season as Ellen Travolta is set to return to the long-running soap to reprise her role as Gloria Cerullo, mother of Rena Sofer‘s Lois Cerullo. According to Soap Opera Digest, Travolta will return for a guest stint on the ABC drama for Thanksgiving, stepping back into the role she played from 1994 to 1996. Travolta’s comeback arrives just weeks after Sofer returned to the soap, as her character, Lois, landed back in Port Charles to help her daughter Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) following her firing from her job at “Deception.” While not everyone was happy to see Lois back in town, her former on-screen husband Ned, aka Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth), might be hoping to reignite their old romance. The good news: If Victor's will is genuine, Vivian is Out of Victor's home and business just as quickly as she swooped in.
The bad news: The will contains a surprise that makes no sense.
According to spoilers for Days of Our Lives during the week of 9-25-23, Victor's will names Alex as his son and gives him half his estate!
Yes, Alex. The same womanizing, trying-to-grow-up Alex, supposedly Justin's eldest son, ironically borne out of an affair with Anjelica Deveraux while Justin was married to Adrienne.
This reveal is leaving fans scratching their heads, and it hasn't even aired yet.
View Slideshow: Disappointing and Downright Offensive Character Departures
It feels like a rewrite of history. Supposedly, Justin had an affair with Anjelica, resulting in Alex, then went on to have another three children with Adrienne.
Only in Salem can such a thing happen and make the slightest sense.

I never thought Shane Donovan would grace our screens again.
His son Andrew is a welcome replacement, leading Isa missions in Shane's stead and trying to find out what his troublemaker of a sister is up to.
But according to spoilers on Days of Our Lives, during the week of 9-18-23, Shane will show up at Theresa's door, eager to straighten out his wayward daughter.
Shane's visit is a welcome surprise. It's a shame Kim isn't with him too, but Patsy Pease may not have been available or interested. In any case, I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth.
As long as Theresa and Andrew are both on canvas, at least one of her parents should be, and some of Shane's best work in the past has been in confronting her about her misbehavior.

A familiar face is returning to Port Charles. After exiting ABC’s General Hospital 26 years ago, Rena Sofer will be returning to reprise her Daytime Emmy-winning role as Lois Cerullo, according to People.
Her return comes as her ex-husband Ned (played by her real-life ex-husband Wally Kurth) is suffering from amnesia and is convinced that he’s Eddie Maine, his rock-star alter ego from the ’90s.
Lois fell in love with Eddie and the two wed, but Lois later learned his true identity was the wealthy Ned Ashton. She also learned Eddie was a bigamist. He was forced to wed Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans), who was blackmailing Ned’s family, the Quartermaines. That temporarily ended the marriage between Lois and Ned/Eddie. They eventually remarried but divorced a second time when Ned chose his family and fortune over her.

General Hospital‘s Rena Sofer will return to Port Charles as Lois Cerullo once again after 26 years away from the series. The 54-year-old actress won a Daytime Emmy playing the long-nailed, fast-talking Italian with a Brooklyn accent, Lois Cerullo, and she is slated to return next month, according to People. Lois is widely known during her tenure on the show for being one-half of the soap’s most popular power couples of the ’90s, alongside Wally Kurth as Ned Ashton. Sofer is expected to arrive as her ex-husband, Ned, suffers from amnesia and thinks he’s Eddie Maine, Ned’s alter ego from 30 years prior, which sounds conflicting for his current wife, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). In 1993, Lois began to fall for the character after seeing Eddie perform with his band, The Idle Rich. She became his manager, unaware this was an alter ego of the wealthy Ned Ashton during the day.

The Quartermaine family is getting a little bigger on General Hospital. Later this week, Ned (Wally Kurth) is going to officially adopt his wife Olivia’s (Lisa LoCicero) son Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda). The show has timed Ned’s adoption of Leo, who was diagnosed late last year as having autism, with Autism Awareness month. Kurth, a Daytime Emmy-nominated actor, brings additional depth to his role as Ned as he has, in real-life, a 17-year-old son, Brogan, who is autistic. TV Insider chatted with the fan favorite about the adoption, Ned’s reconciliation with Olivia, and his thoughts on how Gh is handling this important social issue. What went into Ned’s decision to be Leo’s dad officially? Wally Kurth: Soaps are about families. Ned’s the male figure in Leo’s life. It was natural for Ned to assume that role. Ned has always loved being a dad.

The Daytime Emmy nominations were announced on Tuesday, May 25. But this year’s awards are a little different from last year’s. These nominations are for soap operas, talk shows, game shows, and other genres that will be presented during a CBS telecast one month from today on June 25. Then on June 28 nominations will be announced in other fields including children’s, animated, and lifestyle programming, with those winners to be revealed during online streaming ceremonies on July 17-18. So who made the cut in this round? Scroll down for the full list.
The voting process for the Daytime Emmys differs significantly from their prime time counterparts. The nominees were selected by panels that ranged from 10 to 50 members who reviewed every submission in the category. The panelists scored those submissions individually instead of ranking them in order of preference. The highest scorers were the ones who made the cut as nominees.
