Although Jennifer Coolidge‘s Tanya McQuoid has checked out of The White Lotus, another familiar face is back for Season 3 of the HBO series.
Natasha Rothwell recently discussed her return with “main character energy” as spa manager Belinda Lindsey for the upcoming season, which premieres Feb. 16, after previously appearing in the Hawaii-based Season 1 of Mike White‘s Emmy and Golden Globe-winning anthology series.
“She’s still working at the White Lotus, and she’s in Thailand doing sort of an exchange program to learn more about the wellness programs that the Thailand White Lotus offers,” she explained to Entertainment Weekly. “She’s going to be a guest for the first time, even though she’s taking classes and it’s a work trip. There was lots of great TV in 2024 even though it was kind of a weird year due to the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes. The long-gestating Shōgun delivered and won a record 18 Emmys to boot. Hacks produced its best season yet and an Emmy shocker. X-Men ’97 was nostalgia done right. True Detective returned to form (and angered deposed creator Nic Pizzolatto) with its Night Country installment. And Baby Reindeer – which was on virtually no one’s radar at this point last year – became a surprise global smash. Those are just a few of this year’s highlights. But 2025 could be even better and bigger with new seasons of shows delayed by the strikes and some old favorites taking their final bows on the docket alongside plenty of intriguing new titles.

Blackpink’s Lisa shook things up when news dropped that she starred in The White Lotus Season 3, an epic flex for K-pop idols stepping into Hollywood. The buzz was undeniable, but it also threw a subtle spotlight on Jennie Kim’s earlier acting debut. Kim’s role in The Idol had potential but faced a tidal wave of backlash due to the show’s controversy and lackluster reviews.

While Lisa thrived in a critically acclaimed franchise, Kim’s moment got overshadowed by messy production choices. If The Idol had matched The White Lotus’ prestige, Kim’s Hollywood debut might’ve hit way differently. Timing, folks, really is everything.

In a new, 90-second trailer for the HBO series, guests at the high-priced resort indulge in gluten-free rice and coconut balls, sign up for stress management meditations, and attend brash beach parties. As the power-hungry resort guests settle into their hotel suites, it’s a matter of time before things go awry.
“Someone stole my lorazepam,” Parker Posey’s Victoria Ratliff says in the trailer. “I’m going to have to drink myself to sleep.

Prepare for more luxurious chaos, because the first trailer for “The White Lotus” Season 3 has arrived. The upcoming installment will premiere on HBO February 16, and this time around, all of the intrigue, drama and privileged complaining is happening in Thailand.
One of the first characters highlighted in this initial look isn’t a guest, but Natasha Rothwell’s hardworking masseuse, Belinda, who is at this resort as part of an exchange program. “I’m starting to feel like something good is going to come out of this,” Belinda says in the teaser.
And if that’s not an ominous warning, welcome to television. It’s pretty fun.
The rest of the teaser follows the typical spoiled beats for a season of “White Lotus.” A very tense Walton Goggins complains about the gluten-free rice coconut balls on his plate, asking “What are we at, a f–cking fat farm?” Someone unveils...

The BBC has commissioned a third series of James Graham’s award winning drama Sherwood, and here are the details.
Aside perhaps from Jack Thorne, James Graham may well be the most prolific screen/playwright working today. By far his biggest runaway success is dark drama Sherwood, which recently concluded its second series on the BBC.
Showcasing a terrific ensemble cast, including David Morrissey, Lesley Manville, Robert Glenister, Lorraine Ashbourne, Claire Rushbrook and Philip Jackson, the ensemble play members of a fractured community inhabiting a small village in Nottinghamshire, as they attempt to move on from the murder of a former union activist.
The BBC has confirmed that its has recommissioned the show for a third series. It will once again be written by Graham.
Graham said “It continues to be the greatest privilege to tell stories set in and inspired by the history of my home county of Nottinghamshire.

Meghann Fahy Recalls Accidentally Kicking Jennifer Coolidge “In The Face” During ‘White Lotus’ Scene
Following her stay at the White Lotus, Meghann Fahy feels bad for kicking Jennifer Coolidge while she was down.
The Emmy Award nominee recently recalled filming the Season 2 finale of Mike White‘s hit HBO series and accidentally kicking her co-star in the scene where Fahy’s Daphne discovered the dead body of Coolidge’s Tanya floating in the ocean.
“She did a lot of actually floating down in water,” she noted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “And when we were shooting it, I did actually kick her in the face at one point. I felt so bad.
“They wanted to get a shot under the water of my foot making contact with her body, but I couldn’t see where her body was,” explained Fahy. “So she was just like, floating, waiting for my foot to like enter her general space. And I hit her in the face by accident.

Aimee Lou Wood is no exception. She was recently seen in the terrific Living, opposite Bill Nighy, and British comedy Seize Them!
She recently headined BBC sitcom Daddy Issues opposite David Morrissey, which has now been renewed for a second series.
The synopsis reads as follows:
When hedonistic 24 year old Gemma (Aimee Lou Wood) discovers she’s pregnant after a random hook-up, she has no choice but to turn to her hapless father Malcolm (David Morrissey) for support. Recently divorced from...

Aubrey Plaza starred in The White Lotus Season 2, but the star has not seen herself in the series almost two years after it aired on HBO.
Due to technical difficulties, the Parks and Recreation alum says she hasn’t seen the Mike White-created series.
“I still haven’t, but I’m going to,” Plaza said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “To be honest, I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally. I couldn’t figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can’t figure out the passwords. I just can’t handle things like that.”
Plaza said that she has requested DVDs of the series to watch it, adding, “I’d love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore. I ask them every time.”
