Netflix and Shondaland have released the official trailer and a set of new images for ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3. The trailer teases the steamy, friends-to-lovers romantic beginnings of Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton.
The eight-episode third season finds Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) having finally given up on her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. She has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters.

But lacking in confidence, Penelope’s attempts on the marriage mart fail spectacularly.

Warning: contains spoilers for The Capture series one.
The Capture‘s first series saw Lance Corporal Shaun Emery (Callum Turner) go full circle. In episode one, he was released from prison – acquitted for a crime he had, in fact, committed – and then in episode six, he was imprisoned for a crime of which he was innocent. In between, the BBC surveillance thriller introduced viewers to a world in which you literally can’t believe your eyes. As Dci Rachel Carey (Strike‘s Holliday Grainger) discovered, the intelligence services were using ultra-sophisticated deepfake technology to conjure up court-admissible ‘evidence’ to ensure the criminal conviction of anybody they wanted convicted.
The situation turned out to be even more morally murky when the CIA whistle blower threatening to go public with the practice of CCTV footage “correction” turned out to be a double (triple?) agent planted by the CIA so that some elements...

Chicago – Last year’s slate of Best Actress Oscar-nominees was among the weakest in recent memory. There was no clear front-runner since there was no picture worthy of the exemplary actress at its core. From Meryl Streep in “The Iron Lady” to Glenn Close in “Albert Nobbs,” 2011 deserves to be remembered as the year of great female performances trapped in subpar material.
Perhaps the most frustrating misuse of talent is contained within TV veteran Simon Curtis’s feature debut, “My Week with Marilyn,” an adaptation of a memoir written by Colin Clark, who served as Third Assistant Director on the set of 1956’s unremarkable romance, “The Prince and the Showgirl.” The film was most famous for teaming up the unlikely duo of Sir Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe, who would subsequently go on to deliver some of the most acclaimed work of their careers.

My Week with Marilyn: actress Michelle Williams, director Simon Curtis The Artist topped the Top Ten Movies of 2011 list compiled by the San Francisco Chronicle's Mick Lasalle. Michel Hazanavicius' French-made comedy-drama set in Hollywood at the dawn of the sound era has been a critical favorite. The Artist, which stars Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo, is also a front-runner for the 2012 Academy Awards. Among the surprises in Lasalle's list — as in, movies that haven't received very much praise elsewhere — are: Simon Curtis' My Week with Marilyn, set during the time Marilyn Monroe was working with Laurence Olivier on Olivier's The Prince and the Showgirl in the late '50s; Alain Corneau's last film (Corneau died in August 2010), Crime d'amour / Love Crime, a psychological crime drama starring Kristin Scott Thomas as a ruthless executive and Ludivine Sagnier as her naive assistant; and the Anne Hathaway-Jim Sturgess romantic drama One Day,...

Kenneth Branagh, My Week with Marilyn So, does A Separation's Sareh Bayat have a chance at a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination? If only a nomination for the London Film Critics' Circle Awards had that sort of influence. Were that so, Nicolas Winding Refn's thriller Drive and Tomas Alfredson's spy drama Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, each nominated for six London Critics awards, would surely be shortlisted for the Best Picture Academy Award. [Full list of London Film Critics' 2011 Nominations.] Gary Oldman would also then be a front-runner for the Best Actor Oscar. "I am proud of my work in this film, and so very proud of the film," Oldman said after learning of his London Critics' nod. "The London Critics' Circle has reaffirmed that we have made a film that remains genuine, first rate 'cinema.' Indeed, it is gratifying to be among the representatives of the best of British, and it always will be.

Synopsis:
In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark, just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of .The Prince And The Showgirl., the film that united Sir Laurence Olivier with Marilyn Monroe, who, whilst shooting, was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller.
