Members of the royal family stepped out for the annual Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. King Charles made the appearance with his wife (formerly Camilla Parker Bowles) as well as his siblings, marking the monarch’s first public return to royal duties while undergoing cancer treatment.
In the absence of Prince William, who remained at home with the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) and their children while the princess continues her recovery and her own cancer treatment, King Charles being there was a significant move. As a royal expert explained in doing so the family didn’t have a repeat of the last royal event in which the king and his oldest son were not there and the monarchy garnered some unwanted headlines.
Here’s more on that and what King Charles did to reaffirm he’s still the head of the family.

Kensington Palace has to open up. That’s a commentator’s advice for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s office amid conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales, who hasn’t made a public appearance since late 2023. The palace should be “candid and open” about whatever they can or, the commentator says, risk appearing “very secretive” about much more than Kate’s surgery recovery.
Kensington Palace must ‘work overtime’ to be ‘candid and open’ amid questions about Kate Middleton’s recovery
After the Prince of Wales pulled out of a memorial service for King Constantine II of Greece due to a “personal reason” and a very brief update on Kate’s recovery, royal commentator Jack Royston discussed Kensington Palace’s image with TalkTV’s The Royal Tea.
“I think what the palace needs to be really careful of here is that it’s starting to look like they’re being...

The royal family has not said much about Kate Middleton since first revealing her “planned abdominal surgery” back in mid-January 2024. The Princess of Wales spent nearly two weeks in the hospital at the time before being released to continue her recovery at home. Buckingham Palace was the one to make the official announcements regarding Kate’s health, and it was noted that the princess would be out of royal duties until after Easter.
Now, though, Kensington Palace gave a brief update on Kate’s progress after Prince William pulled out of an appearance at the last minute.

Doctors at the private Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece, confirmed to the AP that Constantine died late Tuesday after treatment in an intensive care unit.

Most people have two godparents — but not in the royal family! Prince William has a lot of godparents — six to be exact — and all three of his kids have followed suit. There's a reason for the large number, though. "There's a feeling that because of their role as members of the royal family that they need as many confidants as they can get apart from their parents," Royal editor of the Evening Standard, Robert Jobson, told ABC News in 2015. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Prince Louis' christening was on Monday, July 9, so many royal fans are curious about who his dad Wiliam's godparents are. Back in 1982, Prince Charles and Princess Diana chose the following people to baptize the royal: King Constantine II of Greece, Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Mrs. Ogilvy, Natalia Grosvenor, the Duchess of Westminster, Lady Susan Hussey, Norton Knatchbull, 3rd Earl Mountbatten of Burma, and Sir Laurens van der Post.

The King & I: The Greek national squash team (including player King Constantine II of Greece) after squaring off against the British RoyalNavy With all the fuss about the impending decision on squash’s inclusion in the 2016 Olympic Games, I decided to make a foray to the sources of the Games, Greece. In Athens I met with George Barletis, the president of the Greek Squash Federation. A charming, friendly 72 year old, Barletis grew up outside Athens and has been playing squash ever since he moved to the city, in 1952. He has been the go-to guy when someone rings up from the embassy looking for a game and hit regularly with Clinton-era U.S. ambassadors Thomas Niles and Nicholas Burns, as well as Senator Arlen Specter. The Greek Squash Open was started in 1945—two years before (!) they launched their own national championships (for men; the women’s did not begin until 1982). It...
