Fans of Netflix’s new series Kaleidoscope are warning prospective viewers of one thing before they begin watching the series.
Netflix released the heist thriller series on New Year’s Day (1 January), with some fans already bingeing all eight episodes.
The series is created by Matchstick Men author Eric Garcia and follows a team of thieves who work together to pull off an elaborate heist worth 7bn (£5.8m).
The team of thieves is led by Leop Pap (played by Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito), and the action takes place over a period of 25 years.
What makes Kaleidoscope so unique is that the series has been designed so that seven of the eight episodes can be watched in any order and still make narrative sense. This allows viewers a “build your own adventure” viewing experience.
In line with the show’s title, each of the eight instalments are named after different...

Comedian Russell Kane is tired of being compared to the man charged with the November Idaho murders.
On Friday (30 December), law enforcement released a photo of 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger, the man charged with a quadruple homicide.
Kane apparently received “at least 100 messages” the following day from people noting the physical similarities between himself and Kohberger.
“Please stop telling me I look like a murderer in America,” the British comedian wrote on Twitter, alongside a side-by-side headshot of both him and Kohberger.
“Omg… you could be his brother!” one person responded, with another writing: “Ha, I saw that and that was my first thought. Great way to start 2023.”
A third added in amusement: “Oh sweet Jesus! Now I can’t unsee it, Russell!”
The 47-year-old comedian has appeared on numerous shows, including the 2012 two-season comedy Unzipped and his self-hosted series Stupid Man, Smart Phone.

One of this spring’s most anticipated television series is “Moon Knight,” the Disney+ series that stars Oscar Isaac as a veteran with dissociative identity disorder who receives the power of an Egyptian god. Much has been made about the show’s unapologetic weirdness and brutality, with fans hoping that the series can marry the charm of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the creative pedigree of prestige television.
Oscar Isaac is one of the rare actors who can step between blockbuster filmmaking and serious acting with ease, so expectations are high for his take on the obscure Marvel character. In a new interview with NME, Isaac details his process for embodying the complex character. The actor revealed that he has found inspiration in some very unexpected places — primarily, British comedy.

WestEnd Films has launched a global sales campaign for Guillem Morales’ (“The Miniaturist”) revenge thriller “The Duchess of Malfi,” produced by Miriam Segal’s Good Films Collective (“Postcard Killings”). Based on John Webster’s classic Jacobean play, the feature adaptation was penned by Luke Garrett (“Ruby Strangelove Young Witch”).
Casting for the period drama is led by BAFTA-nominees Morfydd Clark (“Saint Maud”) and Sam Riley (“Control”) with BIFA-nominee Dominic Cooper (“Preacher”). Equally impressive is the film’s behind-the-scenes lineup, including Academy Award-nominated DoP Pawel Edelman (“The Pianist”), BAFTA-nominated costume designer Carlo Poggioli (“Cold Mountain”), and Editor Joe Randall-Cutler (“I Hate Suzie”). Shooting will begin in November in Italy, with WestEnd set to present the film at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival virtual market.

BBC Two has ordered a full series of Expectation comedy Alma’s Not Normal as part of a raft of comedy commissions, which also include a new episode of Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe.

“Black Mirror” creator Charlie Brooker is making a half-hour isolation special of his “Wipe” review series for the BBC, with the working title of “Charlie Brooker’s Antiviral Wipe.”
Before “Black Mirror,” Brooker rose to fame with the BBC “Wipe” review series, which began in 2006 with “Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe,” and went on to include “Newswipe with Charlie Brooker,” “Charlie Brooker’s Gameswipe” and “Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe.” The last episode of his annual “Wipe” review ran in 2016.
Last year, Brooker said he was too busy working on Netflix series “Black Mirror” to focus on “Wipe,” but the lockdown has clearly freed up some of his time.
The BBC said Brooker will be taking “a typically sharp look at life in lockdown, in a show made during lockdown.” The program will air on channel BBC Two.

The pilot features British comedian Russell Kane along with Joe Gatto, James ‘Murr’ Murray, Brian ‘Q’ Quinn and Sal Vulcano. The latter four make up improv comedy troupe The Tenderloins, best known from the hidden camera show Impractical Jokers, which has deservedly become ludicrously popular in the UK in the last couple of years.
While Impractical Jokers trades as much on social discomfort as the group’s trademark brand of silliness, Say Whaaat? finds the group free to be as playful as they like.

Heading on tour around the UK this month is Tiff Stevenson. Her new stand-up show, Mad Man, is about to get underway, and she spared us some time for a chat. It got quite nerdy...
I'll start with the obvious one, and then we can go nerdy. You're going on tour with a show called Mad Man. What's it about?
It's about identity really. Who we are as people, how much of our personalities are made up of what we think we like and what we put out into the world, and how much is chewed up and sold back to us through various advertisements and social media and everything else.
Do you have specific examples you're tapping into?
Yeah, sure. Advertising is a huge thread that runs through the show.

Some people are not all that keen on 3D, so it'll be interesting to see what they make of "4Dx".
Cineworld has launched the first such cinema in the UK in Milton Keynes, and stars including Ella Eyre, Jameela Jamil and Russell Kane were in attendance last night (January 29) for a screening of Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Audiences are faced with 15 different 'special effects', such as wind, fog, lightening, bubbles, scents and tech-motion seats.
The technology has been added to over 200 films and can be used with both 2D and 3D-projected movies.
The cinema has 140 seats and a curved 5.8m by 10.5m screen, the auditorium taking five months to build.
Developed in South Korea by the Cj conglomerate, the technology is now running in 150 auditoriums worldwide.

Move over Christian Bale, there's a new foul-mouthed movie set tirade everyone's talking about.
It comes from EastEnders star Danny Dyer, who let loose on the set of The Hooligan Factory - a movie he's not even in! Warning, the below video is extremely Nsfw...
Spoofing might generally be considered flattery when it comes to making movies (see: Scream/Scary Movie), but The Football Factory star didn't take the Jason Maza-starring flick as an homage. Primarily because he wasn't invited along for the ride.
"They want to make a f**king film about hooligans, f**king taking the p*ss out of me and all," Dyer says in the spoof video.
"They don't want to roll me in! I've got enough f**king enemies out there slagging me off every f**king day of my life. I've got these c**ts running about giving it the big 'un."

BBC Three has always been an easy target. Right from its inception, the channel came in for criticism - whether it was people turning their noses up at Snog, Marry, Avoid or middle class, middle-aged mutters about where the licence fee was going.
So when the news broke today that BBC Three is being axed as a regular, broadcast channel - and moving solely online - I wasn't surprised. Sure, the station has produced high quality drama, comedy and entertainment. Sure, it picks up higher ratings than some of the other BBC brands. Sure, it's pretty much the only BBC channel aimed at young people. But, well, it's always been an easy target.
I have sympathy for the BBC. They've been stuck between a rock and a hard place in recent years, as the recession bit and funding was squeezed. With a coalition government that's never been too warm towards...
