And they're off! The Obamas departed for their family vacation to Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Yosemite National Park on Friday morning, leaving the White House shortly before noon. President Barack Obama and daughter Malia, 17, led the way, walking hand in hand across the South Lawn to Marine One as the family boarded a short flight to Joint Base Andrews before heading on to Roswell, New Mexico, to tour Carlsbad Caverns. House Speaker Paul Ryan has finally endorsed Donald Trump for president. After refusing to commit to the real estate mogul when he became the presumptive nominee, and then electing not to make an announcement after the two met privately to discuss the situation, Ryan said on Thursday that he will vote for Trump. Ryan detailed his support for the Donald in a column published in his hometown newspaper, writing he wants to “unite the party so we can win in the fall.” Also Read: 29 Potential Donald Trump Running Mates, From Chris Christie to Susana Martinez (Photos) “It’s no secret...

On this Memorial Day weekend, the pickings were relatively slim on the Sunday morning political news shows. Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, for example, conducted a lengthy interview with ostensible Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski in which the Trump flack tried to spin his boss' attacks on New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez as a general commentary on the state's economic performance.

Donald Trump's feud card was full Tuesday night, when the presumptive Gop nominee took aim at Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, New Mexico Republican Gov. Susana Martinez and Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren during a violent rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In his 65-minute speech at the event - where protestors were seen lighting fires and throwing rocks and bottles at police outside - Trump ripped into Martinez, faulting the rising-star Republican and frequent critic of his campaign for New Mexico's economic problems and for accepting Syrian refugees into the state. "She's got to do a better job," Trump told thousands of his supporters.

If you win it, they will come. Freshly-minted presumptive Gop nominee Donald Trump is in the market for a running mate and several politicians have already raised their hands to express interest in the position - albeit a little reluctantly. Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry officially endorsed the billionaire businessman as "the people's choice" on Friday and said he would be open to being Trump's running mate. "I am going to be open to any way I can help. I am not going to say no," Perry told CNN of potentially becoming the Republican vice presidential nominee. "We can't afford...

It took a few months and several primaries and caucuses, but it's safe to say that some in the Republican party are now officially anxious about the prospect of Donald Trump as their standard-bearer and presidential nominee. And in a last-ditch effort to try to stop him from claiming their party's nomination - let alone the White House - the Republican establishment is pulling out all the stops. 1. There might be a contested convention. As Donald Trump's delegate count and primary wins continue to grow in number, there's been more and more discussion of a contested convention, which could...

Production companies in New Mexico will be allowed to pre-assign tax rebates to third parties under a new law approved on Wednesday by Governor Susana Martinez.
The Governor’s approval of Bill Hb 216 builds on the incentives enshrined in the so-called “Breaking Bad Bill” of 2013 that increased financial incentives for series television to 30%.
New Mexico provides a direct cash rebate. Many states require producers to sell their credits at a discount.
“This bill proves once again the deep, bi-partisan support for the film industry in New Mexico,” said Dana Arnold, CEO of Albuquerque Studios. “We want to thank the legislators and the Governor for promoting job creation and small business growth in New Mexico.”
At the annual legislative session that ended on March 21, the legislature also passed Bill S.565, which makes it easier for certain productions to obtain the 30% credit and encourages producers to hire and source locally.
The Governor has until April 10 to sign all pending...
