Imagine this scenario. What if Nightcrawler presented the ideas of unethical journalism not in a thriller setting, but through horror tropes? What if Jake Gyllenhaal's stringer had found himself in a creepy situation that involved not insane crimes, but incomprehensible horror coursing through his entire body? What if the movie had taken a much darker mystical body horror turn, combining the creepy psychology of Jacob's Ladder with the mysticism of John Carpenter's films?
Well, the result would have been one of the scariest movies ever made in the history of the horror genre. And in fact, such a movie has recently been produced: not long ago, the Netflix library was enriched with a Mexican horror thriller that provides one of the wildest cinematic experiences, playing the moral underpinnings of unscrupulous journalism as effectively as Nightcrawler.

Photography converts the whole world into a cemetery. Photographers, connoisseurs of beauty, are also – wittingly or unwittingly – the recording-angels of death.
– Susan Sontag
Those words appear at the beginning of Disappear Completely (Desaparecer Por Completo), and seem perfectly appropriate as we see Santiago sitting in his car listening to the police radio. He’s a photographer, and he’s waiting to hear what he’ll be covering next. He doesn’t have long to wait before he’s busy shooting pictures of a cuffed suspect, sobbing victims in an ambulance, and, with the help of a bribe, a woman’s corpse.
Santiago works for a Mexican tabloid, one that very firmly believes the old adage, “If it bleeds, it leads”. And he’s excellent at capturing that bleeding on film, regardless of the cost.

“Disappear Completely” may suffer from diminishing returns, but there’s an ironic pleasure in a movie about a cursed man losing his five senses one at a time that gets gradually worse as you watch it.
Caught somewhere between Dan Gilroy’s “Nightcrawler” and Sam Raimi’s “Drag Me to Hell,” director Luis Javier Henain’s Spanish-language horror won the attention of genre fans out of Fantastic Fest 2022 but just started streaming in the U.S. on Netflix Friday, April 12. The supernatural tale of intensifying torture recounts the fate of Santiago (the unflappable Harold Torres), a tabloid photographer whose primary job seems to be hunting down crime scenes so he can snag candid shots of corpses.
We meet our nauseating anti-hero at the scene of a picturesque accident; crushed by a light pole, a young woman in yellow bleeds beautifully. She’s evocative of Evelyn McHale (look it up!) and...

"Could you do a spiritual cleansing on me?" "I can't help you." An official trailer is out for a Mexican indie horror film titled Disappear Completely, the latest film from filmmaker Luis Javier Henaine (of Happy Times and Ready to Mingle). It premiered in 2022 at Fantastic Fest as a work-in-progress, and screened at the Morelia Film Festival, and it won a Bronze Skull at the Morbido Film Festival in Mexico. There's still no US release date set, but with an opening in Mexico this March there's a trailer to check out. After visiting a brutal crime scene, an ambitious and insensitive tabloid crime photographer falls victim to a mysterious illness that makes him lose, one by one, his five senses. He attempts to figure out what is going on and how stop this illness "before the world he knows disappears completely..." Starring Harold Torres as Santiago, with Tete Espinoza, Fermín Martínez,...

Santa Claus won’t be the only mythical figure sliding down chimneys this holiday season! John Woo is getting in on the home invasion action now that Lionsgate is bringing Silent Night to PVOD on December 19. Please buy extra milk and cookies this year. I hear Woo likes Macaroons and Snickerdoodles. While that’s probably inaccurate, he strikes me as a man of taste. It’s been 20 years since Woo’s last American movie, so this is a big deal.
“From legendary director John Woo and the producer of John Wick comes the gritty revenge tale of a tormented father (Joel Kinnaman) who witnesses his young son die when caught in a gang’s crossfire on Christmas Eve,” reads the official synopsis. “While recovering from a wound that costs him his voice, Kinnaman makes vengeance his life’s mission and embarks on a punishing training regimen in order to avenge his son’s death.

Silent Night Movie Review(Photo Credit –IMDb)
What’s Good: It is fantastic to see John Woo back doing films in the West. His experience in making action scenes still shows under all the gimmicks.
What’s Bad: The movie relies too much on a strange narrative gimmick that only hinders its enjoyment and makes the entire experience quite strange and boring.
Loo Break: Sadly, there are several. The movie’s gimmick makes certain scenes feel completely unnecessary.
Watch or Not?: There are better John Woo films out there to watch. Sadly, Silent Night doesn’t make the cut as an easy recommendation.

Despite the fact that Asian directors and Western actors (or vice versa) do not seem to always get along very well, at least in terms of the results of their collaborations, the effort to achieve a result that will finally work seems to continue perpetually. As such, it is with great joy to state that John Woo definitely succeeded this time, by including almost every fan-favorite action movie element in the book, in a title that also signals a return to form for the Hk veteran.
Silent Night is screening at Red Sea Film Festival
The paper-thin, ultra-cliched script begins with a man chasing after two cars of opposing gang members, who are just shooting at each other while speeding on the narrow streets of what seems to be an almost dystopian US setting. The result, however, is him getting shot in the throat (among other parts) and rushed to the hospital,...

Let's be blunt: The current state of action cinema worldwide would not be what it is today without the work of director John Woo. While Woo is hardly the only influential filmmaker when it comes to action movies, he's undeniably one of the biggest figures in shaping the genre. Like any great auteur, Woo's style was developed film by film, working his way through his kung-fu features at Golden Harvest in Hong Kong and adding in more experimental techniques (gleaned from the likes of prior filmmakers such as Sam Peckinpah) until he ended up at his signature magnum opus, 1986's "A Better Tomorrow" and its style, which was dubbed "heroic bloodshed."
Over the next several years in Hong Kong and then through to his transition into Hollywood, Woo expanded his "heroic bloodshed" style, peppering in other influences along the way from some of his other favorite filmmakers like Jean-Pierre Melville and Alfred Hitchcock.

Plot: After his son is killed in a drive-by shooting, a grieving father (Joel Kinnaman) spends a year training himself to be an unstoppable killer so that he can take yuletide vengeance on the men responsible.
Review: Silent Night marks John Woo’s first American movie since 2003’s Paycheck, a now-forgotten sci-fi action film that starred Ben Affleck. Since then, he’s focused on the Chinese market, making the wildly successful two-part Red Cliff and the less successful romantic epic The Crossing. He also dipped his toe back into the heroic bloodshed genre he made famous with 2017’s Manhunt, which, despite some virtuoso action, played more like one of his big-budget American movies than his old-school Hong Kong ones.
In that vein, Silent Night is a return to an older-fashioned kind of John Woo film. Sporting a thriftier budget and an agreeably simple concept, Woo has the opportunity here to...

Seeking revenge as a result of being wronged is akin to a crime of passion: you're miffed at being mistreated, and so your rage takes over your mind before (or unless) cooler heads prevail. Seeking revenge as a result of profound loss, however, hews closer to pre-meditated obsession, the hole in your life slowly but surely filling up with a need for retribution until your life isn't for you and your loved ones anymore: it's all about getting payback.
Many action revenge thrillers explore this concept, and they generally feature characters who are already well-versed in the ways of killing. The theme of revenge becoming an all-consuming force, however, is best expressed with characters who used to be ordinary average folks before an enormous wrong or loss changes them forever, and not necessarily for the better. John Woo's latest action opus "Silent Night" — his first in Hollywood since 2003's...

The opening minutes of Silent Night promise something fun. There’s Joel Kinnaman, dressed in a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer sweater, sprinting in super-slow-motion through his neighborhood’s back alleys. There are the warring Mexican gang members he’s chasing, spraying bullets at each other as they rampage through residential streets. There’s the glittery soundtrack of a music box filtering out the distant sirens and tire-screeching. And then there’s a red balloon, floating above the chaos, doing its best Fritz Lang impression. It’s gloriously, ludicrously over-the-top.
But who are we kidding? Nobody does melodrama better than John Woo, returning to Hollywood after a 20-year hiatus (his last American movie was 2003’s Paycheck) to deliver some of his signature thrills and recapture the theatrical style that made him one of the world’s most influential directors. It’s great to have John Woo thrilling audiences once again. In his latest and first American feature in a long while, he stirs up a little revenge. Silent Night tells the story of a father going after gang members who killed his young son. It’s an intense ride, and one with nearly no dialogue. It also features an incredible performance from Joel Kinnaman in the leading role. The film also stars Kid Cudi, Harold Torres, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. It’s an intense flick, but with Mr. Woo running the show, that’s to be expected.

If John Woo had permitted the characters in “Silent Night” to speak, chances are that audiences would laugh them off the screen. Instead, the director gets right down to business, opening with a wordless chase sequence in which a sad dad (Joel Kinnaman) in a corny Christmas sweater sprints after a pair of speeding cars. Inside the vehicles, bad men blast machine guns, while our nameless hero is armed with … just his wits and the jingle bell around his neck.
By the time this guy — identified as Brian Godlock in the end credits — catches up to the gang members who murdered his son, “Silent Night” has already demonstrated that Woo has no intention of letting logic get in his way. And why should we expect any different from the director of “Face/Off,” whose title-says-it-all gimmick had two rivals swapping identities via plastic surgery? The movie dedicates a lot of time...

John Woo’s Silent Night is, in its content and form, about fulfilling a set goal through limited means. In the case of the former, this ethos is personified by Brian Godluck (Joel Kinnaman), who tries to make due with whatever he can get his hands on in order to seek bloody retribution for the death of his son amid gang crossfire. The latter, meanwhile, is rendered through the film’s near-total absence of dialogue, with Woo relying on the power of his images to convey what the spoken word is usually tasked with in commercial cinema.
As Brian lost his voice due to a throat injury sustained during the shooting that claimed his son’s life, the film’s story beats are largely articulated through visual means. One of Silent Night’s most impressive feats is the sound design that gives the film’s world a lived-in quality though an emphasis on small details,...

When it comes to action movies, dialogue is highly overrated. That’s one of the main takeaways from the new film about a father who goes into full vigilante mode to avenge the death of his young son at the hands of gang violence. Of course, it helps considerably when the film in question is directed by John Woo. Making a striking Hollywood comeback 20 years after the release of his last American film, 2003’s mediocre Paycheck, the veteran action director fully delivers the goods with Silent Night.
The title coyly refers both to the opening scene taking place on Christmas Eve and the film’s lack of virtually any dialogue, a bold choice that fully pays off. (As much as I adore the John Wick films, they’d lose a lot of their bloated running times if the villains would just stop talking.) We first see the protagonist, Brian, played by Joel Kinnaman,...

If you're wondering why the last 20 years has felt like something was missing, it's because John Woo hasn't given us a Hollywood action flick since 2003's "Paycheck." The legendary Chinese filmmaker is responsible for some of the greatest films of all time and remains the patron saint of Gun Fu. Woo has been continuing to make films in China, with his most recent, 2017's "Manhunt" a return to form in the same vein as "The Killer." But if you've been missing heroic Hollywood bloodshed like "Face/Off" or "Hard Target," now is the time to rejoice as Woo is back with "Silent Night," a dialogue-free Christmas action film starring Joel Kinnaman of "The Killing," "Suicide Squad," and "For All Mankind" fame. This is the perfect time for Woo's return, as films like "Nobody" and the "John Wick" franchise owe their existence to his filmography. In fact, "John Wick" producers Basil Iwanyk...

Joel Kinnaman is getting his revenge on murderous thugs by killing them softly in the trailer for Silent Night, John Woo’s first American directorial effort in 20 years.
The movie follows Kinnaman’s grieving father character, who takes action against a gang that killed his son and robbed him of his voice on Christmas Eve, but beyond the relatively straightforward tale of righteous vengeance lies a wildly ambitious undertaking behind-the-scenes: Silent Night features virtually no dialogue.
Although Hollywood may be nearly a century past the peak of its silent film era, the first trailer for Silent Night proves that Woo’s mastery of elaborate action set pieces will offer some true innovation to the genre. Complete with nonstop hand-to-hand combat, car chases, and high-caliber gun fights, the movie will surely still bring the noise. Watch the trailer below.

The first trailer for Silent Night is here! Much anticipated by action fans, this is the first American movie released by acclaimed director John Woo in twenty years.
Silent Night stars Joel Kinnaman (The Suicide Squad) as a man seeking revenge for the death of his young son, who was accidentally killed after being caught in the crossfire of a gang shootout. The film has an added twist as it’s almost entirely devoid of dialogue, which presented a major challenge for John Woo.
“It was a very smart script and the story really touched me [because] I have three children,” Woo told EW. “The biggest challenge is how do you make the audience accept a story without dialogue, and get them moved by the story, let them understand they’re not missing something.” The action-packed trailer for Silent Night reveals that Kinnaman’s character has been shot in the throat,...

All’s quiet the night before Christmas, but John Woo is ready to enter with a bloody bang.
Woo’s first U.S. film in 20 years, “Silent Night,” stars Joel Kinnaman as a dad who witnesses his son die on Christmas Eve amid a shootout. The almost dialogue-less film co-stars Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi, and Harold Torres.
The gritty revenge tale follows a tormented father (Kinnaman) who witnesses his young son die when caught in a gang’s crossfire on Christmas Eve. While recovering from a wound that costs him his voice, he makes vengeance his life’s mission and embarks on a punishing training regimen in order to avenge his son’s death.
The original screenplay is written by Robert Archer Lynn.

Woo! Kinnaman! Christmas! Lock ' load. Lionsgate has launched the first official trailer for Silent Night, a surprise John Woo action movie dropping in theaters this year. The legendary Chinese action filmmaker is back after his 2017 movie Manhunt with something fresh and fun. With virtually no dialogue throughout the entire film (hence the film's title), Silent Night is, in a sense, a modern day silent film – mixing elements of A Quiet Place meets Peppermint meets Drive - into one insanely unexpected, immersive experience. Bring on the mayhem. A grieving father enacts his long-awaited revenge against a ruthless gang on Christmas Eve. Joel Kinnaman stars, joined by Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Mescudi, Harold Torres, Yoko Hamamura, and Vinny O'Brien. Woo, one of the "masters of action", showcases Kinnaman's intensely emotional acting chops and deftly balances a gripping core family story, before diving into a whirlwind of guns-a-blazing fight scenes and Fast & Furious-style car chases.

Lionsgate will release John Woo’s “Silent Night” on Dec. 1, 2023, the studio announced on Friday.
The film is Woo’s first American theatrical film since 2003’s “Paycheck,” and Woo directed the project without a single word of dialogue.
The film stars Joel Kinnaman, Scott Mescudi, Harold Torres, and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
The official synopsis is as follows: From legendary director John Woo and the producer of “John Wick” comes the gritty revenge tale of a tormented father (Kinnaman) who witnesses his young son die when caught in a gang’s crossfire on Christmas Eve. While recovering from a wound that costs him his voice, Kinnaman makes vengeance his life’s mission and embarks on a punishing training regimen in order to avenge his son’s death. Full of Woo’s signature style, “Silent Night” redefines the action genre with visceral thrill-a-minute storytelling.
Woo directed the film from a script by Robert Archer Lynn.

As there’s positive vibes (knock on wood) coming out the AMPTP and WGA talks at the time of this post, there are interesting maneuvers happening on the theatrical release-date calendar. Specifically, more films keep getting added.
After Paramount dated its next Mean Girls for MLK weekend 2024 today, a positive indication that the winter won’t be completely dry of movies due to the strikes: Lionsgate has plopped John Woo’s next action movie, Silent Night, on December 1.
Silent Night is an acquisition by Lionsgate.
That’s the post-Black Friday weekend frame, which typically sees genre pics pull in a young audience. Currently, 20th Century Studios/Disney has the Jeff Nichols-directed The Bikeriders on that date. There’s also MGM’s expansion of Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn.

Believe it or not, but it’s been twenty years since the release of John Woo’s last American movie; That would be Paycheck starring Ben Affleck for those keeping track. The iconic director is finally back with Silent Night, an action-thriller devoid of dialogue that stars Joel Kinnaman. Lionsgate announced today that they will release Silent Night on December 1, 2023.

In addition to a remake of his own movie The Killer, action auteur John Woo will also return with the upcoming Silent Night, which has received its official MPA rating this week.
Director John Woo’s Silent Night has been rated “R” for…
“Strong bloody violence, drug use and some language.”
From Capstone Studios and Thunder Road Films, Silent Night stars Joel Kinnaman (The Suicide Squad) alongside Scott Mescudi (X), Harold Torres, and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
In Silent Night, written by Robert Archer Lynn, “A grieving father enacts his long-awaited revenge against a ruthless gang on Christmas Eve.”
Of particular note, the film is said to feature no dialogue. Yes, we realize the MPA rating lists “some language” as a reason for its “R” rating. And we are also very confused about that.

Disappear Completely
Film festivals are busy events and it’s impossible to see everything interesting at the time, so I count myself very lucky, in the aftermath of it screening at Fantastic Fest 2022, to have had the chance to catch up with Luis Javier Henaine’s Disappear Completely (aka Desaparecer Por Completo). The story of crime scene photographer Santiago (Harold Torres), who begins to lose his senses one by one after falling prey to a witch’s curse, it may not sound strikingly new or exciting, but it’s a class act, put together with rare skill and with strong underlying themes which will extend its appeal far beyond the horror genre. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to speak with the director, if only to thank him for the experience, so I was delighted that he was interested in doing an interview, and he began by telling.

Every now and again, as if influenced by some intangible thing in the collective consciousness, the film industry produces a whole lot of works on the same subject. This year it’s witches. As usual, the films vary enormously in style and quality. Disappear Completely, which screened at Fantastic Fest, is one of the best, a classy piece of work which would stand out in any context.
Set in Mexico, it follows Santiago (Harold Torres), a photojournalist who specialises in capturing front page pictures of grisly crimes – when people ask him “Do you have any enemies?” it’s a difficult question to answer, but he is determined to keep working at it until he gets his big break, until he can build a real career. Things come to a head when Marcela (Tete Espinoza), his girlfriend of 14 years, discovers that she's pregnant. Whilst initially he argues that it would be.

Speaking to Deadline from Fantasia Film Festival, where he is being honored with a career achievement award, Hong Kong filmmaker John Woo revealed details of his recent return to U.S. filmmaking – feature films Silent Night and Peacock’s reboot of his iconic 1989 action thriller The Killer – as well as an upcoming passion project about the man who helped establish Columbia University’s East Asian Languages & Cultures Department.

The film stars Joel Kinnaman as a father on a mission to avenge his young son who was killed in the cross-fire of gang violence. Kid Cudi, Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno also star. NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock recently announced Woo’s English-language remake of The Killer as part of its first slate of original films.

Stars: Liam Neeson, Guy Pearce, Monica Bellucci, Taj Atwal, Ray Fearon, Harold Torres, Ray Stevenson | Written by Dario Scardapane | Directed by Martin Campbell
Liam Neeson plays a rogue hitman with Alzheimer’s in this remake of the 2003 Belgian action thriller Memory of a Killer. Directed by Martin Campbell, it’s a cut above the usual standard of Taken knock-offs.
Liam Neeson has built himself an entire sub-genre of thrillers since the success of Taken in 2010. Often referred to, somewhat cheekily, as the “geri-action” genre, the films all have the same thing in common – grizzled, 60-something Liam Neeson taking out lots of bad guys in as violent a manner as possible.
When Memory begins, it’s very much business as usual for this sort of film. Neeson plays no-nonsense hitman Alex Lewis, who we first meet taking out a shady-looking character in a hospital with ruthless efficiency and a hint of cruelty,...

As action master John Woo prepares a reimagining of his own film The Killer, he’s also wrapped his next feature Silent Night, which marks his return to U.S. filmmaking for the first time in nearly two decades. Led by Joel Kinnaman, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Harold Torres, and Catalina Sandino Moreno, the first image has now arrived for the film that is dialogue-free.
The story follows Godlock (Kinnaman), a father on a mission to avenge his young son who was tragically caught in the crossfire of gang violence on Christmas Eve. Shot and nearly killed while in pursuit of the murderers, Godlock vows to avenge his son by any means necessary.
Woo’s last film was the entertaining actioner Manhunt in 2017. C.J. Prince said in our TIFF review, “It’s pure, maximalist filmmaking in the hands of a master who can put it all out there...

Grammy-winning singer, rapper, and actor Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi has signed on to star in John Woo’s “Silent Night,” an action-thriller about a father (Joel Kinnaman) venturing into the underworld to avenge his young son’s death. His son was caught in the crossfire of gang violence on Christmas Eve, hence the holiday-esque title. One of the many twists? Deadline previously reported that the film will be dialogue-free.
The original screenplay is written by Robert Lynn and is currently shooting in Mexico City. “Silent Night” also stars Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Additional casting is underway.

Martin Campbell’s action thriller ‘Memory’ has rounded out its ensemble cast, adding Emmy winner Guy Pearce, Monica Bellucci, Harold Torres, Taj Atwal and Ray Fearon.
The actors will star alongside Liam Neeson, who plays Alex Lewis, an expert assassin “with a reputation for discreet precision.”
According to the logline, when Alex refuses to complete a job for a dangerous criminal organization, he becomes a target and must go on the hunt for those who want him dead. Veteran FBI agents Vincent Serra (Pearce), Linda Amistead (Atwal) and Mexican intelligence liaison Hugo Marquez (Torres) are brought in to investigate the trail of bodies, leading them closer to Alex, but also drawing the ire of local tech mogul Davana Sealman (Bellucci). With the crime syndicate and FBI in hot pursuit, Alex has the skills to stay ahead, except for one thing — he is struggling with severe memory loss, affecting his every move.

Film Independent’s First-Ever Spirit Award TV Nominations Successfully Figure Out What ‘Indie TV’ Is
When Film Independent announced last fall that it would add several TV categories to this year’s Spirit Awards, perhaps the biggest question was, “What is Indie TV?”
Ultimately, with no budgetary cap (unlike the $22.5 million limit in film), and with most TV projects coming from major networks and studios, Film Independent president John Walsh told me at the time that it would come down to a “smell test”: “aesthetic, original provocative subject matter, unique voice and diversity. The types of work that we celebrate on the film side, and TV side, they’re going to look very similar. … Somehow these singular voices are finding their way into television and making a mark on the culture. We are remiss if we don’t celebrate that.”
On Tuesday morning, the organization somehow managed to pull it off. Michaela Coel’s deeply moving HBO series “I May Destroy You” seemed like...

Exclusive: Harold Torres has signed with ICM Partners for representation in all areas. Torres is currently receiving rave reviews for his chillingly brilliant turn as a Narco enforcer in Amazon’s limited series ZeroZeroZero. The series was created by Stefano Sollima, Leonardo Fasoli, and Mauricio Katz; Andrea Riseborough and Dane DeHaan also star.
While the show features incredible performances across the board, Torres stole every scene he was in. Following the show’s premiere in April, Torres quickly was on every agencies radar and seemed like only a matter of time before he was signed by one of the majors.
The three-time Ariel Award nominated Torres has appeared in more than 30 films in his native Mexico, including Rudo Y Cursi alongside Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, as well as Cary Joji Fukunaga’s debut feature Sin Nombre. In 2013 he won the actor prize at the 2013 Morelia Film Festival for...

The title of Amazon’s crime drama series “ZeroZeroZero” is never mentioned in the show itself, nor is it explained in the book by Roberto Saviano on which it is based. But the meaning behind the phrase has a lot to do with the powdery white drug that the series focuses on.
“In Italy, there are various levels of purity in flour,” showrunner Gina Gardini explained in a panel discussion with actors Andrea Riseborough and Harold Torres for TheWrap’s Virtual Screening Series moderated by “Raging Bull” and “Taxi Driver” screenwriter Paul Schrader and presented by Amazon.
“There’s type zero, and type zero zero is the most pure,” she continued. “So Roberto [Saviano] had a play on that, creating something even more pure than double zero flour, and it’s zero zero zero.”

In 1958, 34-year-old Marlon Brando got great notices for his complex and layered performance as Nazi officer Lt. Christian Diestl in Edward Dymtryk’s Oscar-nominated World War II drama, “The Young Lions.” Like Brando in “Lions,” 36-year-old Mexican actor Harold Torres’ turn as dirty soldier Sgt. Manuel Contreras in Amazon’s limited narcoworld series “ZeroZeroZero” has sent writers and critics scrambling to describe his impact. The dynamic actor has been racking up honors and significant credits in the world of Mexican film and television. In the past 10 years, Torres has been nominated for the lead actor Ariel award (the Mexican Film Academy’s Oscar equivalent) three times and won the actor prize at the Morelia Film Festival in 2013.
