Kate Mara is speaking out in support of NFL players who choose to kneel during the national anthem.
“I believe everybody has a constitutional right to stand, or kneel or sit during the national anthem,” the “Pose” actress tells Variety. “So, I stand by the player’s decision whatever that might be.”
While Mara has made a name for herself as an actress in both television and film, her family also happens to co-own the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants. She is a great-granddaughter of both Giants founder Tim Mara and Steelers founder Art Rooney, Sr.
Her words of support for players protesting during the anthem come on the heels of her uncle and Giants co-owner John Mara’s involvement in helping shape the NFL’s controversial new policy to fine teams if their players kneel during the anthem.

You have to applaud a guy like Justin Tuck. If he was smart with all the money he earned from the NFL he probably doesn’t need to do this but I think it’s awesome that he’s in the Mba program at Wharton. I just hope he applied like everyone else. Speaking of his Mba program Tuck and his “group” found time to dip into sketch comedy. And it’s not like they’re just dabbling in it. These guys produced a full out video that leaves me and probably many of you with questions. It’s called “Justin Tuck: Wharton Mba Enforcer.”

The NFL season is in full swing, and a new web series is taking a behind-the-scenes look at some of the league's players. The first guest on Digital Diaries is Justin Tuck of the Oakland Raiders, who shows off the workout routine that has allowed him to put together a ten-year NFL career. While the video isn't particularly browser friendly (that's the point), it can be viewed from Torrential's main video platform, Torrential.TV. In a new book, the infamous New York Jets coach reveals how you corral a team of testosterone-infused gladiators. He spoke to Marlow Stern about Tom Brady, Osama bin Laden, and foot fetishes.
Football coach Rex Ryan loves to blitz. But during the 2010 NFL season, it was his own New York Jets team that seemed to have the target on its back. Before the first seconds ticked off the game clock, the Jets had already been featured on HBO's behind-the-scenes training camp program Hard Knocks, where they were branded as Animal House-style gladiators thanks to their regular pranks and foul language (much of which came courtesy of Ryan). To make matters worse, sideline reporter Ines Sainz accused several Jets players of harassment.
