The Meghan Markle style effect has already begun!
Just one day after she and Prince Harry officially announced their engagement, her white coat by Line the Label and the hunter green P.A.R.O.S.H dress she wore during their first appearance as an engaged couple sold out online on that same day.
From now on, all eyes will certainly be on the 36-year-old Suits star and her attire as she steps out for any upcoming shopping, wedding planning, regular days out and royal engagements. The bride-to-be has previously stated that she defines her style as "relaxed California girl" and "effortless" -- and looking at her previous ensembles, she's all about a good classic white button-up shirt!
"I like to look polished and put together, but for me there's always going to be that effortless quality just coming from L.A.," Markle told Yahoo in 2015 during a New York Fashion Week interview. Meanwhile, the actress...

Rhonda’s Kiss, an organization that helps cancer patients in need, announced today that legendary rock band Jane's Addiction will perform at their annual concert event on Friday, Dec. 8 at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
Proceeds from the concert event will benefit the Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute and further the mission of Rhonda’s Kiss, supporting programs to assist cancer patients in need, and helping those who receive a cancer diagnosis make ends meet during treatment. Rhonda’s Kiss is a 501c3. To date, the charity has donated nearly $1 million to hospitals to support cancer programs and patients.
“At Cedars-Sinai, it is our mission to treat the cancer patient as a whole, rather than just the disease,” said Amin Mirhadi, MD, radiation oncologist at the Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. “We are proud to collaborate with the Rhonda’s Kiss foundation to help us achieve that.

Jim’s moral compass goes a bit wobbly in this rather fun second episode of Gotham season 3...
This review contains spoilers.
3.2 Burn The Witch
Holy moral compass malfunction, Batman! In my last review I was hoping that Gotham would start shaking up the stories revolving around Jim Gordon, to make the whole ‘he’s really changed’ thing seem more convincing. Looking at this week’s episode, I needn’t have worried.
Leather jackets and bottles of beer are the easy shorthand for ‘our protagonist is becoming a bit of a dick.’ And this week, that basic idea from the season premiere was fleshed out with some actual plot. It was genuinely shocking to see Jim let Fish Mooney go free at the end of the episode, to manipulate the Gcpd, to encourage Penguin’s mob, and to do nothing when Penguin was later seen celebrating after a fair number of people died.

“The Wiz Live!” and “Grease Live!” both continued the live musical revival that began with NBC’s “The Sound of Music Live!” in 2013, which drew a remarkable 18.4 million viewers.
NBC’s “The Wiz,” though, was designed more like a Broadway show with an eye on Broadway sometime in the future. “The Wiz” “lent itself more to theatrical environments because of its familiarity, because it’s fantasy, and because of its musical performances,” said production designer Derek McLane (“The Sound of Music Live!” and NBC’s “Peter Pan Live!”).
McLane collaborated with”Hamilton” Tony-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell on an organic world with different looks made for the culture of today.
“Kansas is not a happy place for Dorothy and that’s reflected in its neutral palette,” McLane continued. “Munchkinland is predominantly orange with cylindrical buildings that evoke the Munchkins. Emerald City is like a modern club with different shades of green and electrified.

Well... he told you he'd be back. While this first official look at the characters in next summer's Terminator: Genisys does not feature everyone's favorite Terminator, Arnold Schwarznegger, we do get a good look at the new rebooted versions of the franchise's other iconic characters, like Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) and John Connor (Jason Clarke). Leather jackets? Check. Freaky Terminator skeleton? Check. No-nonsense look on everyone's faces? Oh,...

The fall season is juuuust underway, and while a few stragglers will premiere in the rest of October, we're mostly up and running. So far, this season hasn't had any major new hits or any genre breakthroughs. But one thing is common across network and cable, comedy and drama, hit and underdog shows right now: Female characters are wearing a lot of leather. Leather jackets (and possibly faux-leather jackets) are everywhere, more than the reliable jean jacket or even the go-to black blazer. Generally, the jackets are there to represent toughness — or at least a "no-nonsense" attitude, as if there are people who love nonsense — but sometimes it's just to rough up an otherwise-cutesy sitcom ensemble. Leather for everyone! Please note, all these jackets are from this season, as in, within the last few weeks. Other characters have worn lots of leather jackets in the past — ahem, Olivia Benson —...

Most iconic movie characters ooze confidence, flirt with danger, and can take a beating. So these cinematic rebels and renegades need their clothes to be able to do the same. No other article of clothing is equal parts rugged and stylish like a leather jacket. And no article of clothing can elevate someone’s swagger or embody their whole persona and purpose quite like it either. Leather jackets say things about about a character before they even utter a single line of dialogue. Simply put: Jackets speak louder than words.
GeekTyrant has joined forces with Green Label to shine a light on the 13 most iconic leather jackets in film history. We delve into why these jackets remain as cool as they ever were, and how they helped define the characters that wore them. Here are…

Today is Gaytron Saint Elton John‘s 67th birthday, and how do you pay tribute to one of the most successful musicians of … any time? In the past, we’ve counted down his greatest hits (my favorite – “Someone Saved My Life Tonight”), so this year let’s take a look at the flip side, his greatest songs that weren’t his biggest hits.
What are your favorite lesser-known Elton singles? The songs you never hear anywhere … except in the walkman in your mind.
Here are my top ten, in no particular order.
Victim Of Love – Do you remember Elton’s disco era? That’s because it mercifully only lasted one album, 1979′s Victim Of Love, which is one of the worst selling and reviewed albums of his career. And for good reason – it was his first album in which he didn’t write any of the songs or play any of the instruments,...

Los Angeles, Dec 23: From strappy heels to blazers, you can now take any fashion item from day to night.
People.com shares tips on how to transform your daywear into evening outfit:
- White button-down shirt: The quintessential 9-to-5 shirt can extend its working hours by getting tucked into a formal skirt and worn with the sleeves unrolled and buttoned at the wrist. Actress Jessica Alba also wore it with a sequin maxi.
- Moto jacket: Leather jackets look perfect with a pair of jeans or skirts. But one of the best ways to wear it is with a gown.
- Strappy jewel-encrusted sandals: Many women like to slip their feet into such sandals for someone's wedding or festival. You can also wear them with casual yet.

The theme of Monday night’s episode of The Sing-Off is its most impressively vague yet: “My Generation.” Anyone who has never watched this show might think that means the teams will sing songs that they were raised on, or maybe even from the decade they were born, but to those people I would scream, “You’re so wrong!” and “Why aren’t you watching The Sing-Off, do you hate good-natured fun?!” Nick Lachey explains the theme as “the songs of yesterday and today,” which he doesn’t seem to understand means All Of The Days.

Lionel Baier is a Swiss filmmaker born in 1975, a teacher and an active cinéphile, the director of many documentaries and features, among them Garçon stupide, a refined fiction with a documentary posture (and something in common with the first films by Alain Guiraudie) and Un autre homme, a film about a film critic (a cousin to Louis Skorecki’s trilogy Les Cinéphiles).
Baier belongs to a generation of filmmakers who had to deal with the fact that they were coming “after.” After their own “masters” or mentors, after their own film culture. After the revolutionary movements of the 60s and 70s. After. A source of political and artistic angst that led to choices spanning from whining nostalgia to merciless caricature, from fake indifference to abstract reconstruction, from respectful tributes to philological or critical questioning.

There's a reason John Hughes wrote his most memorable screenplays with Molly Ringwald in mind -- with her signature pout and flame-red hair, the girl was inspirational.
And with the girl came some iconic '80s style, served up in films like Hughes' "Sixteen Candles," "The Breakfast Club" and "Pretty In Pink." Below, see the fashion lessons we've learned from Ringwald and why we think she's still muse-worthy.
Pastels don't have to be boring -- go for interesting silhouettes to create interest.
Oh, and make sure you can move in it.
Leather jackets can turn any get-up into an outfit (even if you're just sitting in detention).
If you're going to complain, do it with while wearing pretty lipstick.
Don't be afraid to go for out-of-the-box style -- popular dudes secretly dig that.
And so do the rest of dudes, apparently.
When it comes to glasses, go big or go home.

We see London, we see France, we see Alessandra Ambrosio's underpants! When the Brazilian supermodel hit up the Heineken and Min-sponsored Warner Music Grammy party at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood Feb. 10, the 31-year-old donned a sheer Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress that exposed her underwear. The sexy look, which featured a thigh-high slit and plunging neckline, was paired with Kimberly McDonald jewelry, Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a Christian Louboutin clutch. "Leather jackets are always fun," Ambrosio told Us Weekly. "I love the dresses that have a little [...]...

Most people think of Patti Smith as a punk legend. Based on who she’s imagined playing herself and late photographer Robert Mapplethorpe in a biopic, she would also make an utterly magnificent casting director. “I remember the very first time I saw Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson together, when they were younger, and I thought, ‘Those two kids could have easily played us when they were first starting,’ ” the singer told Entertainment Weekly. “There’s something in his eyes. And Robert [Mapplethorpe] was also a bit shy, and a bit stoic. Kristen has a very special quality. She’s not conventionally beautiful, but very charismatic.” Uh, we don’t know if we would really characterize Kristen as either, but either way we love this casting call. Leather jackets, soulful longing, starving artistry: This is all we want to see Rob and Kristen do, forever. Let’s get these kids back to their roots!

I have been obsessed with Eion Bailey since he introduced Xander to the wild ways of hyena people on a 1997 episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Since then, he's fought for "freedom" alongside Brad Pitt in Fight Club, stormed the beaches in Band of Brothers and dished out fruit tarts in Center Stage.
Currently he's playing August, hottie with a million secrets, on ABC's Once Upon A Time, which is really hitting its stride as it races toward the end of season one -- a destination that Eion's character plays a massive role in. Over the next two weeks, we'll come to learn a lot about August, so I caught up with Eion to get his take on the character while also finding a totally natural segue to talk about Center Stage.

Jeepers H. Christmas, Once Upon a Time, I can't believe you had the balls to do what you said you were going to do! When promo monkeys go "and someone's going to diiiie," no one ever really dies! Someone gets maimed, maybe. Beaten down a little bit. A supporting character whose name we've never even known takes a bullet in the head. But literally squashing the literal heart of the the hottest dude on the show in the prime hour of his like/ship-ablility? Way to take it to eleven, Lost writers.

But I'll be damned if it wasn't the best episode of Once Upon a Time to date.

If you're a 20-something living in New York, traversing the downtown scene in search of big breaks and big dreams, chances are How to Make It in America is your kind of show. If you're not, the popular HBO series probably makes you wish you were.
How to Make It, created by native New Yorker Ian Edelman, chronicles the journey of two childhood friends from the Lower East Side with skyscraper-sized aspirations -- -- played by Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk -- who set out to start their own apparel company. The show, which begins its second season on Oct. 2, offers not only a spot-on gritty-meets-glamorous view of life in the Big Apple, but one of the more realistic portrayals of entrepreneurial life in one of the city's sexiest and storied industries -- fashion.

Bad Boys. We love them. Even when we try to deny it, we know that a part of us gets starry-eyed at the leather, the attitude and the checkered pasts. It’s long been a cultural stereotype that girls love the bad boys, but in reality gay and bi men are just as susceptible to their charms. Ever since James Dean rumbled onto the big screen, people have been hooked.
Look into those eyes and try to resist...
But what is a Bad Boy, exactly? It used to be enough to simply be from "the wrong side of the tracks." But the concept has evolved over the years and today the Bad Boy is something more complicated and full of shades of gray. And sometimes a Bad Boy is really a bad boy, although that is a relatively new development when it comes to TV Bad Boys.

It's Thursday, and that means it's time for Lady Gaga's music video for "Judas"! The video is a colorful, kitschy pop-culture take on a love triangle between Mary Magdalene (Gaga), Judas (Norman Reedus) and Jesus (Rick Gonzalez), filled with religious pomp and circumstance, as well as very cool clothes. (We know this 'cause it leaked! Eeks!)
Gaga and her boys live someplace (we have no idea what time or place we are — hey, this must be a Gaga video!) where biker gangs run amok and couture is their currency. (How do we get to this place? Is it through some Born This Way vortex?) Leather jackets, bejeweled crowns and gowns rule the "Judas" world.
Now, while all the scenes are quite memorable (Gaga riding on a motorcycle clutching her love, Jesus, longing for Judas; Gaga in a black dress and habit torn between her two loves; Gaga's lipstick gun...

There arelots of reasons that the upcoming NBC series Fashion Star is different than ProjectRunway and any of its reality TV bastard children. In a recent conferencecall interview series star Elle Macpherson and executive producer Rick Ringbakkdiscussed what will set their show apart.
Ringbakkexplained that the contestants will not unveil their creations on a typicalrunway. He revealed, “We’re going to be seeing these designs being presented inbig exciting presentations. And these buyers are going to be choosing the itemsthey like from the very first week forward, buying these items.”
When askedto compare Fashion Star with HeidiKlum’s mother of all catwalk obsessed reality TV shows, Macpherson was quick topoint out, “It’s not another ProjectRunway. It’s actually great. It’s something completely new. We haven’t seena show like this on American TV, which is so immediate where Americans will beable to...

Whew. After two cold, lonely, dark, painful Thursdays without "The Vampire Diaries," those Mystic Falls kids came back with a vengeance tonight. This episode, "The Sacrifice," moved so fast I nearly gave up on taking notes.
Previously on "The Vampire Diaries": Klaus is looking to break the moonstone spell that prevents vampires from walking in the sun. In order to do it, he's going to need to sacrifice Elena... and almost everyone she cares about. To get to her, he'll stop at nothing.
There's a catch, though. That moonstone binds not only the vampires' spell - but also the one that forces werewolves to transform at every full moon. It's a bit of a race to the finish line, because once one spell is broken, the other will be eternal.
I needed a little bit of clarification on the whole spell situation, so I checked in with executive producer Julie Plec,...

Easily one of the most hotly debated items to hit the news wire this week, Wonder Woman's new costume has sparked no small amount of controversy among, well... just about everyone. And very little of the reaction has been positive.
Yesterday, I asked you to let me know whether you "love" or "hate" the DC heroine's new costume in reader poll, and the response was — to put it mildly — decisive. In one of the most active polls I've ever posted, more than 65 percent of readers presented with the new costume said they "Hate It!"
Yes, twice as many people hate Wonder Woman's new look than those who love it. Owch!
Even better than the poll turnout was the number of readers who explained their vote in the comment section. Here's a sampling of why some readers voted the way they did:

It’s really not that hard to enjoy V. Every episode, you’re guaranteed one awesome scene, two awesome sci-fi concepts, a cameo appearance by the Magic Flying Ball of Doom, a cameo appearance by an actor from another great sci-fi series, a cameo appearance by Scott Wolf, and lots of scenes featuring attractive people wearing expensive leather jackets. By that metric, last night’s episode, titled “John May,” went according to plan. Let's run down the list: Awesome Scene: Le Resistance was hanging out in Father Jack’s study, talking to Doctor Joshua and Georgie via the Magic Glowing Ball of Communication.

Aviation! Romance! Adventure! Leather jackets! Alcoholism as an adorable character flaw! Fun for all! It lasted only one season on ABC in 1982-3, but Tales of the Gold Monkey has stuck in my brain as one of the predominant inspirations of the television of my childhood. Because it was a cash-in of the box office megahit of the previous year, Raiders of the Lost Ark, which looms even larger among my formative influences. And now the complete series will finally be released on Region 1 DVD by Shout! Factory on June 8. (Some used joint Region 2/Region 4 copies are available from third-party sellers on Amazon U.K. It was apparently released in this format last November, but it’s odd that no new copies are available.)...

Ten Word Wiki is sort of like six-word memoirs, but for everything. Every entry has exactly ten words, and some of those entries are awesome. Nicolas Cage: "Best Actor in the world. Oh no, not the bees." Ramones: "Leather jackets, three chords, glue sniffing. Made rock fun again." Baby powder: "Not made from ground, dessicated babies. Despite how it sounds." Rick Astley: "Giving you up, letting you down, running around, desertion unlikely." Beer: "Magic fall down juice, made with malt, hops, and yeast." Michael Jordan: "The world's most famous basketball player and average baseball player." Harry Potter: "Fictional,...
