Sorry, guys - your childhood crush Shawn Hunter is officially off the market. Rider Strong, best known for his role as the trailer-park-bred bad boy on Boy Meets World, married longtime girlfriend Alexandra Barreto in a camp-themed ceremony in Oregon on Sunday, People confirms. Rider's wedding comes just one day after his Boy Meets World costar Danielle Fishel tied the knot with Tim Belusko in La. Rider's onscreen Bff Ben Savage was in attendance at Danielle's wedding and unfortunately missed out on Rider's big day. In a statement before the wedding, Rider said, "I am missing some of my Boy Meets World family," adding, "That was my fault, [Danielle] chose the date first." Rider and Alexandra met while filming the now-defunct show Pepper Dennis in 2006 and worked together on a Barack Obama presidential campaign video two years later. Rider popped the question during a romantic weekend in Northern California back in December.

It’s that time of year again, when all sorts of engagement and wedding news starts coming in as celebrities escape to warm, romantic getaways. The latest is the engagement of Boy Meets World alum Rider Strong to his longtime girlfriend Alexandra Barreto. According to E! Online, Rider proposed with a ring he created himself.
Strong and Barreto met on the short-lived 2006 WB comedy Pepper Dennis, in which he played a cameraman and she played the weather girl and nemesis of star Rebecca Romijn. They also had a super-cute bit together in this 2008 Web ad for Barack Obama.

The ‘Boy Meets World’ star popped to the question to his long-time girlfriend the day after Christmas.
Somewhere, Angela Moore is weeping. Rider Strong, who played the eternally perfect-haired Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World, is officially engaged. Toofab confirms that Rider, 33, proposed to girlfriend Alexandra Barreto on Dec. 26 — with a ring he designed himself! According to the site, Alexandra’s custom engagement ring consists of three diamonds and a gold band.
Congrats to the happy couple!
What Rider Strong Has Done Since ‘Boy Meets World’:
Rider may be best known for playing Shawn on the classic ABC sitcom, but even though he retired that role in 2000, he’s far from retired in his own career. Along with a slew of movies, Rider also had several high-profile TV roles.

"Chuck" has just increased its "beautiful blonde secret agent" population by one.
The NBC series, which begins its final season Oct. 21, has signed Rebecca Romijn -- Mystique in the first three "X-Men" movies -- for a guest role as a rogue CIA agent named Robin Cunnings, EW reports. The character is described as cold, calculating and enamored of harsh interrogation techniques.
Robin and a group of fellow agents are also apparently not happy about Chuck (Zachary Levi), Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Co. having taken their spy operation to the private sector. They hatch a plan to frame Chuck for a very serious crime.
Romijn currently stars in the Adult Swim comedy "Ntsf:sd:suv." Her other credits include "Ugly Betty," "Pepper Dennis" and "Eastwick"; she also had a brief cameo in "X-Men: First Class" as an older version of Mystique (played by Jennifer Lawrence).

So say you're an actor and fan of 'Lost' and you happen to get cast on the show. Utopia, right? Not only do you get to be part of the biggest television event of the year but you can find out what happens in the end months ahead of everyone else.
Hardly.
Frederick Koehler ('Pepper Dennis,' 'Dexter') came on the island this season as Seamus, a scientist working for Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) who is killed by The Man In Black (Titus Welliver) while guarding the Candidates. For Koehler, a fan of the show long before his appearance on it, the cliched "dream role" aptly applied.
When TV Squad caught up with Koehler on the set of 'Death Race: Frankenstein Lives' earlier this year, we asked him about 'Lost' and immediately got the "I can't talk about it" reply.

First, the bad news: I've read through the descriptions and casting sides for all of the shows except Trauma, and despite the fact that they are all ensembles with more characters than you can keep track of, all the leads are straight, as far as I can tell (with the possibility that Guillermo Diaz's character on Mercy). If anyone in the industry knows otherwise, please send me a tip!
The only one of the series created by a woman is Mercy (the one about female nurses, naturally).
So basically, it's business as usual on primetime broadcast TV.
The good news? We'll be getting Maura Tierney (Parenthood), Carly Pope (Day One), and Michelle Trachtenberg (Mercy) on the regular, and some racial diversity among the casts (not a lot,...

NBC has been struggling of late to find its identity as an entertainment programming network. With so many of television's best shows now appearing on cable channels (some of which are admittedly owned by parent NBC/Universal), the major networks have faced an increasing challenge to develop intriguing dramatic television, also facing as they do increased competition from video games, Internet downloads and other forms of entertainment.
But it's been hardest on NBC, which went through a serious staffing shakeup last December, searching for new blood and fresh ideas.
Has it worked? It's still too early to tell. Perhaps the most intriguing new offering from NBC is Day One, a futuristic drama from Heroes writer-producer Jesse Alexander. The story chronicles the aftermath of a global event that devastates the world's infrastructures when a small band of survivors strive to rebuild society and unravel the mysteries of why the event took...

Today Fox announced that they’re developing a show called Bitches, about four female New York City friends who turn into werewolves during a full moon. It’s been classified as a “dramedy,” and comes to us from Michael Dougherty, who wrote the films X-Men 2 and Superman Returns. Since this is his first TV job, he’ll be advised by Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts, who were freed up for the job when Pushing Daisies, on which they were co-EPs, was canceled. They also created and were co-EPs on Pepper Dennis. This was also canceled. Maybe the third time will be the charm for them? I kind of hope not; as a woman, a show called Bitches where women turn into angry beasts during a certain time of the month is pretty likely to be offensive to me. Then again, maybe I’m just overreacting and have no sense of humor because of Pms.

Fox network has announced work has begun on a new hour-long series, Bitches, described by The Hollywood Reporter as “a dramedy about a quartet of female friends in New York who are werewolves.”
Given the November 2009 release of both The Wolfman and the lycanthropes in New Moon, plus the Big Bad Wolf in NBC’s Fables project, it looks to be a hairy fall.
Michael Dougherty (X2: X-Men United) is writing the script for Warner Bros. TV which received a pilot script commitment complete with penalties if no film is shot. Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts (Pepper Dennis) will serve as executive producers alongside Dougherty.
Dougherty wrote about werewolves in Trick 'r Treat a Warner Bros, film that got dumped earlier this year and will be a direct-to-dvd release.

Talk about a hairy "Sex and the City."
The Fox network is developing "Bitches," a dramedy about a quartet of female friends in New York who are werewolves.
The project, which has received a script plus penalty commitment from the network, hails from feature writer Michael Dougherty and Warner Bros. TV.
TV writing duo Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts have come on board to supervise Dougherty. The two also will serve as executive producers alongside Dougherty if the project, described as a quirky urban fairy tale, goes to series.
"Bitches" continues the werewolf theme from Dougherty's recent horror flick "Trick 'r Treat."
2009 is shaping up to be a big year for werewolves with the release of the Benicio del Toro-starring remake of "The Wolfman" and the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon."
Wma-repped Dougherty's writing credits also include "Superman Returns" and "X2: X-Men United."

Cable channel Bravo has purchased the exclusive rights to air CBS' summer drama, Swingtown. Does this mean there will be a second season?
Swingtown debuted on Thursday, June 5, 2008 on CBS. The series was executive produced by show creator Mike Kelley and Jericho's Carol Barbee. Set in the summer of 1976, Swingtown follows three families as they explore new freedoms and shifting moral values in Chicago suburbia. The series stars veterans of cancelled shows like Molly Parker (Six Feet Under), Grant Show (Melrose Place), Lana Parrilla (Spin City), Josh Hopkins (Pepper Dennis), Miriam Shor (Big Day), and Shanna Collins (Wildfire).
CBS' President of Entertainment, Nina Tassler, gave the drama a greenlight in May 2007 after HBO had passed on the project. It was expected to air during the regular 2007-08 season but CBS decided to delay the series until Summer, typically a time used to burn off less desirable programming. Critical and...

Rebecca Romijn's new TV show Pepper Dennis and Pamela Anderson's sitcom Stacked are two of the casualties in one of US TV's most ruthless cutbacks. The two shows join a long list of programs that will not return this autumn for new series on their respective networks. In Pepper Dennis, Romijn played an unlucky in love reporter, while Anderson was praised for her role as a busty bookstore employee. Also cancelled, according to top US magazine TV Guide, are long-running comedy The Bernie Mac Show, Jenna Elfman's Courting Alex, doomed Friends spin-off Joey and cult drama Everwood.

NEW YORK -- As the major television networks continue with their upfronts this week, representatives from the Writers Guild of America West and top showrunners expressed their concerns about product placement here Wednesday, asking to be made part of the conversation between the networks and the advertisers. "As we speak, product integration deals are being made at upfronts," WGAW president Patric Verrone said. "These deals do not take writers into consideration and we believe this is unacceptable." The morning press conference, held in the penthouse of the Parker Meridien Hotel in Midtown, opened with a montage of clips which showed how products could be worked into a show's scripts to, according to some, awkward results. The presentation featured an Extreme Makeover clip which revolved around Wendy's, a Pepper Dennis segment promoting Crest whitening strips, and several clips from "Half & Half" that centered on Oil of Olay.

Writer-producers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts have inked a new three-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. Under the seven-figure pact, the duo, which created WB Network's midseason dramedy Pepper Dennis, will continue on the series if it gets picked up by WB and UPN's successor, CW, and will develop new projects for the studio. "Not only do they have a great voice as they have proven on 'Pepper Dennis, ' but they're very versatile writers who are valuable for the studio in having them support other shows," 20th TV president Gary Newman said.

Actress Rebecca Romijn was forced to go public about her marriage break-up with John Stamos after the tabloids broke news of the split. The couple split-up after six years of marriage and the news broke the day before the actress walked the red carpet for the 2004 premiere of her film The Punisher. She explains, "We just got outed (by the tabloids). We had split up quite a while before, but John and I had decided we were just going to keep it between us because we had work to do and I didn't want to be dealing with all that. But we were forced to come clean, so I put on a brave face." The Pepper Dennis star slams reports that the couple split because Stamos wanted children and she didn't. The 33-year-old beauty adds, "Whether or not I wanted to have kids had nothing to do with it. We were together for 10 years, and the reasons (for the divorce) are complicated. I can't wait to have kids. I'm at the point in my life where when I see a pregnant woman, I get tears in my eyes."...

WB Network is reshuffling its schedule, adding new hourlong series Pepper Dennis and The Bedford Diaries and moving freshman hit Supernatural and veteran Everwood. Romantic comedy Pepper Dennis, starring Rebecca Romijn as a television news reporter, will premiere April 4 and will run in the Tuesday 9-10 p.m. slot, following Gilmore Girls. Beginning March 16, the time period's regular occupant, Supernatural, will move to Thursday, where it will air behind Smallville. Everwood, which aired in the Thursday 9 p.m. hour before going on hiatus to make room for the second cycle of Beauty and the Geek, will return to its original Monday 9 p.m. slot on March 27, following a special two-hour episode March 20.
Desperate Housewives star Page Kennedy has been fired from the hit drama for "improper conduct". Kennedy, who plays fugitive Caleb in the second series of the ABC show, was dropped on Friday after the studio conducted an investigation into allegations against him. Publicist Janet Daily refused to divulge details of the allegations. Kennedy had hoped the show would give him the opportunity of "making a name" for himself and claimed he turned down roles on television programs Barbershop, Pepper Dennis and Love, Inc. to star in the series. Television bosses are recasting the role. Kennedy's final scenes will be aired in the US on Sunday.
