The 2000s were a truly magical time to grow up. Some of the most successful and captivating cartoons and anime aired during the time. Rushing back home just to catch an episode of Ben 10 or Naruto was probably the golden time of life you will never get back.
Still, these nostalgic series will forever hold a place in the hearts of fans. But did you ever think that these two mega-successful series from different continents would ever refer to each other?
Some fans noticed a startling Naruto reference when they rewinded some old Ben 10 episodes.

My Adventures with Superman is one of the most brilliant superhero animated series. Created by Brendan Clougher, Jake Wyatt, and Josie Campbell, the Adult Swim series tells the story of Superman aka Clark Kent as he starts his new job at The Daily Planet, with his roommate Jimmy Olson, and his senior intern at The Daily Planet who is none other than Lois Lane. They quickly become a team and try to bring in big stories so that they can become real reporters while Clark also tries to become the hero he is meant to be. My Adventures with Superman has great action but the brilliant thing about the series is that it isn’t an action series about Superman, it’s a series about a superhero and his relationships as he figures out who he really is. So, if you love the heart, optimism, great story, and fantastic animation...

Prominent voice actor Dee Bradley Baker has been the voice behind many iconic characters of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The voice actor returned to the franchise after the end of the Clone Wars with the Disney Plus animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, in which he voiced all five of the main clones of the group Clone Force 99.
The actor has also voiced more characters on the show, bringing versatility to each character. Bradley Baker cited his favorite character to play from the series, which reportedly changed between seasons. The actor mentioned how he started to like the character of Crosshair in season two as he was fascinating and had an interesting story.

The more versatile an actor is, the more in demand they are. One of the major skills that an actor needs to grab more projects is the ability to change accents at will. This becomes even more essential when you are in the animation industry, where the way you speak can severely impact the quality of the entire production.

DC has been experimenting with electronic media ever since the earliest days of Superman radio shows. As technology developed, that translated into animations and live-action adaptations of comic book storylines. The DC Animated Universe (Dcau) is one of the most respected brands in the industry, with shows like Justice League Animated and films like All-Star Superman. DC’s recent entry Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths has been well-liked as well, and fans are really excited for one character in particular.

After Jim Samples, the Cartoon Network executive who oversaw the greenlighting of such successful cartoons as "Samurai Jack," "Ben 10," "Codename: Kids Next Door," and "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy," left, a new regime at the popular animation-focused cable channel changed tactics. When Stuart Snyder took over in mid-2007, he had a brand new mandate for Cartoon Network — no weird stuff.
Speaking with Buzzfeed, "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" creator Thurop Van Orman recalled Snyder saying, "'We don't want anything weird or anything where any mom would come out of the kitchen and say, 'What are you watching?'"
Now, this is not to say that Snyder failed at that command, or that his definition of the word "weird" is different than this writer's, but his tenure was filled with shows you could call "weird" and would make a mom say "What are you watching?"

There have been a lot of "Transformers" cartoons since 1984. Most of them (and I say this as a fan) are pretty unimpressive. One of the best ones is "Transformers: Animated," which aired from 2007 to 2009 on Cartoon Network. Network executive Sam Register created the series like it was "Teen Titans" with robots. Register even recruited one of that show's character designers, the late Derrick J. Wyatt, resulting in a similar art style.
"Animated" broke away from past series' tenets, transforming them you might say — the show's team even cast Megatron voice actor extraordinaire David Kaye as Optimus Prime instead. The series was explicitly pitched as "more like a superhero show than a 'Transformers' show" (read the original production bible here for many tantalizing insights and scrapped ideas). The Autobots each had unique powers and faced off against human villains; against the Decepticons, they were definite underdogs.

Son Goku might be the most iconic protagonist of all time, and fans believe that Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball features the strongest character to be ever featured in any manga or anime. However, this remains an extremely debatable topic if he is the strongest character ever because each time when one thinks that the character has reached the pinnacle of strength, he will shatter his limits and become better than his former self.
Goku Ui transformation in The Tournament of Power
Intriguingly, this has led to the popular meme called ‘ But can he beat Goku?’, where the fans of the series use it to show off the character’s strength. However, it looks like Kakarot has a new opponent, as fans argue on social media if Ben Tennyson, the wearer of the most powerful weapon in the universe, can take on the Saiyan in a fight.

Watch any American cartoons (and/or play some video games) made in the 2000s-2010s and you'll notice some familiar voices across the shows. One voice you're bound to hear is that of John Dimaggio.
Born and raised in New Jersey, with the accent to prove it, the 6'4 Dimaggio has a deep voice that's as imposing as his frame. Don't think that he lacks range, though. He can play lovable heroes (Jake the Dog in "Adventure Time" or Aquaman in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold") and tough guys who are more emotional than they let on (Marcus Fenix in "Gears of War" or the short-tempered humanoid tiger alien Rath in "Ben 10"). He's just as good at playing villains, if not more so due to his baritone. Dimaggio's bad guys range from serious bad news to incompetent comic relief (Dr. Drakken in "Kim Possible").

Peter Ramsey, Caleeb Pinkett Producing Live-Action Feature Adaptation Of Comic Book ‘The Storm Clan’
Exclusive: Academy Award winner Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and former Overbook head Caleeb Pinkett (Cobra Kai) are set to produce a live-action feature adaptation of The Storm Clan, the comic book created by Dallas Jackson and Joe Casey, which marks the first title from Jackson’s new company DJ Classicz Comix.
Jackson and Casey will pen the script, with former Lionsgate exec Jorge Alfaro to serve as an EP.
A sci-fi action adventure story, The Storm Clan watches as an ex-military weapons engineer trains his five adopted children to be undercover hi-tech/martial-arts thieves wearing an invincible bionic-body armor. Previously orphaned, the teenagers gifted with bionic technology see it provide them with the opportunity to protect themselves from the threats of the streets, also empowering them to take advantage of life instead of being taken advantage of, and most importantly, giving them comfort and sense of belonging within a family.

At the start of Matt Groening's and David X. Cohen's 31st-century sci-fi sitcom "Futurama," the alcoholic robot Bender (John Dimaggio) sounded a little bit more like a drunken vagrant. He slurred his speech more and seemed less able to concentrate. As the show progressed, Bender became more self-assured, like the guy at the bar who — after his fourth shot of Jim Beam — is 100% confident he could thrash the bouncer. Bender became egotistical in addition to being a drunken criminal. On DVD commentary tracks, the makers of "Futurama" have said that Bender, in being a robot, allowed them more explicit depictions of violence and vice; a human character cannot drink a gallon of rotgut whiskey and smoke four cigars simultaneously, but a robot can. The Fox censors are weird.

The late 90s and early 2000s were the golden era of Cartoon Network, with wildly successful shows like Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, and Teen Titans airing at the time. But among these shows, there was one that stood out for being different and daring: Courage the Cowardly Dog. The show centered around Courage, a fearful pink pup with a name that felt like a cruel joke. Courage lived with his owners, Muriel and Eustace, in a farmhouse in Nowhere, Kansas. Each episode followed a villain-of-the-week format, where Courage had to face off against scary monsters, aliens, and other paranormal...

It's been nearly forty years, but people still remember "The A-Team." The action adventure series went on for five seasons, but stuck around in the public consciousness for much, much longer. People still remember the theme song, the cartoonish violence, the catchphrases. But although many viewers throughout the 2000s wanted a revival of the show, the TV series itself never came back.
Instead, we got a feature film in 2010 starring an updated A-Team, with the characters being veterans of the Iraq War instead of veterans of Vietnam. The film underperformed at the box office, however, and they never made a sequel. Unlike "21 Jump Street," a franchise where the later movies have now long-since overshadowed the TV show for most younger viewers, when people of all ages today think of "The A-Team," they're still almost certainly thinking of the show.

Japanese comedian Shinagawa Hiroshi has been set as the director of “Among the Dead,” the first project flowing from the co-production and co-financing venture between U.S.-based People of Culture Studios and Japan’s Yoshimoto Kogyo.

Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios are in a rough era they’d like to forget as soon as possible, at least regarding their live-action content. However, DC has always been known for terrific animated content since the legendary ‘Batman: The Animated Series.’ In the last 30 years, DC spawned many animated movies and television series. Some of them were absolutely terrific, and the minority of them not so much, but still, DC fans always have a good reason to look forward to upcoming animated content.

As we creep towards summer, Netflix has a hot new list of fresh content, including the final season of “Never Have I Ever,” the sophomore season of ‘Human Resources” and the highly anticipated sixth season of “Black Mirror.”

Netflix gained a new competitor last month (sort of) when HBO Max and Discovery+ combined forces to create the confusingly-named Max. With its list of new releases for June 2023, however, Netflix doesn’t have too much to worry about.
This month is filled with some major Netflix original titles, not the least of which is The Witcher season 3 volume 1 on June 29. Though star Henry Cavill is set to leave the Polish folklore/video game adaptation in season 4, he remains very much entrenched as the titular Witcher in this next go-around. Other big TV hits include Manifest season 4 part 2 (June 2), Big Mouth spinoff Human Resources season 2 (June 9), and animated King Kong series Skull Island (June 22). That’s not even to mention the return of Black Mirror season 6. That still has yet to receive a release date but we have no doubt it will be properly epic once it arrives.

Writer Joe Casey has built a career in the superhero business, co-creating heroes such as Marvel’s America Chavez and playing in the sandboxes of classic properties Superman and X-Men. After more than 25 years, Casey found himself having questions about his relationship with the genre.
“Did it still speak to me? Did it still hold the same kind of relevance as it did when I was just a fan? Was it just childhood nostalgia that I was having trouble letting go of?” Casey tells The Hollywood Reporter. “How many other readers of my generation were feeling this ambivalence to something that meant so much to us since we were kids?”
Those were the questions swirling when he sat down to write Junior Baker, a five-issue series due out from Image Comics in August. The series centers on Daniel “Dizzy” Baker, a gonzo online journalist who chases superhuman stories in a...

When a pair of "Tiny Toon Adventures" animators tried their hand at reinventing Batman for the small screen back in 1992, they created the definitive version of the Dark Knight for many a '90s kid. Led by Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm, "Batman: The Animated Series" was a big hit for Fox Kids for the three years of its airing. The show re-envisioned Batman for a new generation, picking up where Tim Burton left off with 1989's "Batman" and reintroducing the dark tone that had been so central to the character's inception.
With a Superman film in the works, Warner Bros. Animation president Jean MacCurdy asked Timm if he wanted to cartoons with the DC superhero (via Comicology). Timm and Alan Burnett ("Batman: Mask of the Phantasm") partnered up to work their magic with Superman. Once again, they reinvigorated the character, bringing a distinctive design language, nuanced characters, and mature...

Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons marks a couple of firsts, although they’ve had several print team-ups and their own comic, it’s the first on-screen pairing of the sons of DC’s biggest superheroes. It’s also the first of DC’s animated films to be completely done by computer, using the same styling as Marvel’s “What If” series.
It opens with a pre-credits recap of how Superman came to Earth, only with one small addition, which may seem puzzling, but will be explained later in the film. That’s followed by what is basically another origin story, that of Superboy, aka Jonathan Kent the son of Superman, and Lois Lane.

The summer movie season may be winding down, but HBO Max is keeping the movie ball rolling in September 2021. HBO Max’s list of new releases this month is heavy on the film side of things – both in library and original offerings.

The streaming services continue their ceaseless rollout of new content, and several fresh titles are debuting this weekend.
First up, arriving on HBO Max is The King of Staten Island, a semi-autobiographical comedy drama partly inspired by the life of its star, comedian and SNL alum Pete Davidson. A waster high school dropout still living with his mother dreams of becoming a tattoo artist, but is stifled by his medical and mental health issues, which are only compounded when his mom begins dating a new man who’s a firefighter like his deceased father.
Also on HBO Max is season 2 of The Alienist, subtitled Angel of Darkness after the novel on which it’s based, seeing the return of its ad hoc team of investigators, this time looking into the brutal deaths of young children that may be the work of a serial killer, while digging into familiar themes of societal status,...

Voice actor Tom Kane, known for his work on shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Archer, suffered a stroke in October that has left him largely unable to speak, his family revealed on Wednesday.
In a post on Kane’s Facebook page, his daughter Sam revealed details of the incident, a left side stroke “that gave him right-sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain.” As a result of the stroke, “right now he cannot efficiently communicate verbally, nor read or spell. He is still competent and very much himself, but can only get out a few words right now,...

It’s kind of funny in a sad sort of way that the Cartoon Network has come to this since they’re now suffering from the same lack of originality that so many others in show business are since it would appear that Ben 10, one of the more loved cartoon series, has gone back to the original spot from which it started, but with a couple of differences. For one, it sounds as though the show is focusing more on the comedy and less on the story, and the animation, which some folks might not think is that important, has turned

Scholastic Entertainment is developing an animated kids horror series called “JumpScare” based on popular Scholastic novels and will team with Mainframe Studios and the American writing collective behind the popular “Ben 10” series, TheWrap has learned exclusively.
“JumpScare” will be aimed at viewers between 8-12 and will adapt four stand-alone books all published by Scholastic, as well as one original story from Man of Action, which will write and develop the series.
Though the series is based on five different stories, each episode will be part of a shared universe of teenage protagonists who are forced to reckon with spirits trapped between worlds at haunted houses, asylums and graveyards, and one episode that grapples with race when a character stumbles across an old segregated, “Blacks Only” cemetery in her backyard. And each individual episode will also have its own unique animation style to match the story and tone.
