[This story contains spoilers from season two, episode four of The Bear, “Honeydew.”]
In season two of The Bear, Lionel Boyce’s Marcus goes on a journey.
It’s both external and internal, as bottle episode “Honeydew” sees Marcus reluctantly leave his ailing, nonverbal mother and travel beyond the borders of Chicago for the first time to stage in Copenhagen under a chef named Luca (Will Poulter). He’s there to create three dishes for The Bear’s dessert menu. But the experience — like those of his fellow staff at The Beef — delivers on more than just a meal.
Marcus’ intense experiences in and out of the kitchen “ignite” the rest of his season two journey, Boyce tells The Hollywood Reporter, and help him to understand arguably his biggest lesson so far: That “you make with heart, not with skill.” It’s an emotional episode, directed by Ramy Youssef, that underscores The Bear’s return not as the fast-paced, anxiety-inducing...

Who’s hungry for family-style dining? FX is bringing a teaser for The Bear Season 2 to the table, and fans are hungry for the emotionally-charged drama’s anticipated return. In The Bear Season 2 teaser, the staff members of the greasy spoon, formally known as The Beef, start renovations on the restaurant. As Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richie Jerimovich gazes out a newspaper storefront, valued family members and kitchen staff pack their belongings, demolish walls, and give customers a heads up about the restaurant’s future and name change. At the end of the teaser, a sign in the window reveals The Bear returns to FX in June.
During the season one finale of The Bear, Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto discovers a stash of money. The cash is a gift from his late brother, Michael (Jon Bernthal). Presumably, there’s enough scratch to bring the restaurant out of debt and reinvent the space...

The next big Netflix movie ‘You People’ is packed with recognizable stars, but the breakout performer is Travis Bennett. The one-time Odd Future DJ and hype man keeps turning in progressively stronger performances. And he’s capable of trading punches with some of the funniest movie stars in the business.
Bennett has a lot of fans these days. Few are quite as dedicated to watching his rise as one person in particular, though: his mom.

Nobody’s more excited to see Bennett’s emergence as a go-to comedic actor than his mother. She’s always around for his premieres, and she made a point of visiting the set of You People last year. Bennett recounted the silly story on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which was shared on YouTube.

Don't break out your Party Boy panties and your camcorders just yet, "Jackass" fans — the beloved series is not getting a revival as previously reported. There is still some great new content headed our way from the crew behind the franchise, but it's not going to be more "Jackass." In a soon-to-be published interview with /Film's Ethan Anderton to promote his upcoming Hulu series, "Reboot," "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville explained that there have been some misunderstandings with regards to the future of all things "Jackass." Indeed, "Jackass Forever" was likely the nail in the coffin for that particular brand of humorous hijinks.
With the guys getting older and recovery from injuries taking longer (and far more dangerous), it's really not a huge shock that "Jackass" isn't coming back. For those of us who love the guys and don't want to see them disappear completely, however, the good news is that...

(Welcome to TV, Interrupted, a series where the /Film team remembers, eulogizes, and makes a case for the revival of TV shows we loved that were canceled far too soon.)
A decade ago, members of the rap collective Odd Future started a little sketch series on Adult Swim that was described at the time as a mixture of "Jackass" and "Chappelle's Show." That series, "Loiter Squad," ran for three seasons, each with 10 15-minute episodes per season, save the first, which had 11 for some reason. The first of the month is typically when the variety of streaming services on offer bolster their respective libraries with a mixture of original and pre-existing content, freshening things up for subscribers in the process. January 1st also happens to be the first day of 2021, though, so people might be expecting a little more than just a handful of new additions, and HBO Max are stepping up to the plate in a big way.
Of course, Wonder Woman 1984 is set to entice millions to sign up for Warner Bros.’ platform, especially when the entire slate of theatrical releases are also heading to the streaming site on the same day that they hit the big screen. And keen to capitalize on the inevitable influx of new customers, HBO Max is adding a massive amount of film and television titles on January 1st, with the onslaught set to continue over the next 30 days.

Loiter Squad might be gone, but that doesn't mean Tyler, the Creator is done making crazy things for TV. He's still doing it. Just now he's truly doing it straight from his brain, "without restrictions and bullshit." That sentiment sure feels alive and well in The Jellies, his animated series about a family of jellyfish and their adopted non-jellyfish son. Tyler's version of a bildungsroman? Ma-a-aybe — just with ten times as much violence, sex-related stuff, and cussing as Catcher in the Rye. The show, which features music from Tyler and the voices of Ofwgkta, was co-written by Lionel Boyce and animated by Augenblick Studios (Golan the Insatiable). You can watch the teaser here, and if you like what you see, the first episode's available on the rapper's Golf Media app (first two months free):New episodes will drop every Sunday at 6 p.m. Pst.

As part of its effort to grow the X-Men into an expansive cinematic universe, Fox has inked a deal with The Fault in Our Stars helmer Josh Boone to co-write and direct The New Mutants, a standalone spinoff that will introduce a new generation of exceptionally gifted youngsters who could potentially join forces with the X-Men in future films.
Knate Gwaltney, a supervising producer on Loiter Squad who wrote the upcoming thriller Kidnap, will co-write the pic.
Though Boone, who made his debut with romantic drama Stuck in Love, may seem like an odd choice to delve into superhero territory, he’s been a hot commodity for years now and is hard at work over at Warner Bros. on an ambitious, multi-film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand. The helmer reached out to King and became friendly with the writer, who also set Boone to work on an adaptation of Lisey’s Story.

There was a certain point in history, somewhere between The Simpsons and Daria, when TV animation ceased to be the sole provenance of kids drooling over their morning bowls of Lucky Charms. These days, cartoons for grown-ups are not only ubiquitous, but hilariously twisted and high-quality to boot — and that's due in large part to a phenomenon called Adult Swim. What began as a freaky little block of late-night programming has evolved into a vast, even-freakier universe of animated and live-action series with a sardonic, absurdist sense of humor that's...

Workaholics' Adam DeVine wants you to come hang at his mansion and be on his new Comedy Central show
The Workaholics guys are everywhere lately. The trio parlayed Mitchell Hurwitz’s guest appearance on their show into a cameo in the first episode of the Netflixed Arrested Development; Blake Anderson joined the second season of the Odd Future series Loiter Squad; and Anders Holm just played a minister on The Mindy Project. And now Adam DeVine, after his appearance in Pitch Perfect, replicating his Workaholics persona in ads for the new Sim City, and playing Jeff’s half brother on Community, will be the first of the bunch to step out on his own with a new Comedy Central ...

While you're hoping for a return of In Living Color, you might want to check out this sketch comedy series that airs on Sunday nights on the Adult Swim network, titled, Loiter Squad. Despite now in its second season, I actually never heard of the series until late last week when I received an email from a rep at Turner Broadcasting, alerting me to it. Tyler, Lionel, Jasper and Taco are back for a second season of shenanigans in Loiter Squad, a 15 minute live-action show that features sketches, man on the street segments, pranks and music from Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. The cast, featuring the Los Angeles collective of rappers, artists, and skateboarders, channel their...

Tyler, The Creator, Taco, Jasper and Lionel will be joined by Earl Sweatshirt, whose stint at Coral Reef Academy in Somoa prevented him from appearing in the sketch comedy show's first season. While HBO and AMC may be the places on cable to go on Sunday nights for higher brow fare, if you're looking for something a bit more surreal, irreverant and edgy, Adult Swim has you covered. Hip-hop collective Odd Future has joined the network's Sunday night line up with their show "Loiter Squad," and it has been doing extraordinarily well. Just how good? The show is the top-ranked program in its time slow for audiences in those key 18-24 and 18-34 demographics. Not too bad at all.
Produced by Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze's Dickhouse Productions, "Loiter Squad" falls somewhere between "Jackass" and adventurous sketch program's like "Mr. Show" and "Chapelle's Show." Below, we have an exclusive clip from tonight's episode to give you a taste if you haven't had a chance to catch the show just yet. In the scene, Odd Future frontman Tyler The Creator...

After coming for your earbuds in 2011, hip collective Odd Future are now set to invade your TV. The eccentric group are getting set to debut their Adult Swim show "Loiter Squad" and who better to bring it to you than Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze?
The trio are behind the shingle Dickhouse Entertainment, and they are acting as producers (along with Lance Bangs, who also helmed the band's recent video for "Oldie") on the 15 minute show which promises to be as inspired and irreverant as you might expect. To get a taste, we've got an exclusive clip from the show, which makes no secret of the influence of "Jackass" (yep, one of the Ofwgkta crew is wearing the shirt). Entitled "Sandwich Punch" you can probably figure out exactly where this scene, and those PBJs, are going.
"Loiter Squad" premieres on Sunday at 11:30 Pm. Watch below.

Call security and alert the censors, because Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All will invade "RapFix Live" on Wednesday. Tyler, the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, Domo Genesis, Mike G., Syd tha Kid, Matt Martians, Jasper Dolphin, Taco and Earl Sweatshirt will all camp out on the "RapFix" couch for a rare interview.
The group broke through in February 2011, when Tyler and Hodgy famously performed their single "Sandwitches" on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and have been on a meteoric rise ever since. Sadly, Earl Sweatshirt, who helped lay the groundwork for the group, wasn't around to experience it. The then-exiled teen was sent to an all-boys military school in Samoa, but now Earl is back home and will be on "RapFix Live.

Odd Future have two new eye candies this week, neither of which makes much sense, par for the course. "Loiter Squad," the hip-hop group's live-action "Adult Swim" show due later this month, has a new promo for the character Jasper, which equates to something like a series of animated .gifs. Chop and screw at your leisure. Then there's "NY (Ned Flander)," featuring Tyler, the Creator and Hodgy Beats and the frequent appearance of Lucas Vercetti, who's featured on the cover of the group's new album "The Of Tape Vol. 2." Repeated is the meme of big girls shaking ass, while Hodgy gyrates...

First up, while most of the much talked about FX series "American Horror Story" has been dumped after the first season, there are some folks coming back. Jessica Lange, who earned raves for her turn, will be back and now Deadline reports that Zachary Quinto is also returning to show for the second season. As fans know, Quinto had a four episode arc during season one, but this time around he will be regular, one of two male leads, and he will be the nemesis to Lange's character. Playing the baddie is not new territory for Quinto who first broke out on "Heroes," and it seems he certainly enjoyed his stint on the show last time out. And wait, there's more. Series creator Ryan Murphy says three more names from the first season are coming back as well, and they...
