In my opinion, the good part of the "Nouvelle Vague" starts and ends here. This movie is so different from any other French new-wave movies, that it hardly fits in the category; hence I could say I don't really like "nouvelle vague" movies in general, but i just love this one. As the protagonist would say: "Nouvelle vague mon c...!"

I could almost swap my favorite movies list for his filmography... So The Birds is here to represent ALL of Hitchcock; this title in part. is much more than a "thriller" so as Hitch was much more than "The Master of Suspense"... Guess someone else noticed that?

A "minor" Visconti happens to be the title of one of my favourite books ever; from the novel by Albert Camus, a VERY underrated movie with Marcello Mastroianni as the perfect "stranger".

It has been described as both a nature documentary and a "fairy tale"; this movie can make you think of how "nature" is close to the kingdom of "fairy tales"... and that we should live right there

"The Fabulous World of Jules Verne" in one of the best Zeman's "woodcut" movie

Votes: 50,375
This one could be the greatest movie ever; but it's just an audio-visual bunch of "inconvenient truths" that nobody would ever put in a "real movie", so... Zeitgeist is the greatest bunch of "inconvenient truths" ever, too bad it will never be a "real movie".
