1/10 Michael Moore is hated by the "Right wing" side of society. Does he hate America? If he hated America he wouldn't be making repeated documentaries about it's flaws and how to fix them. Votes: 8,004 | Gross: $35.00M

1/10 Sick, perverse and lacking any level of entertainment I can see why this became infamous and though not the easily shocked type I don't understand why anyone would want to see this.

Votes: 962

2/10 You know the difference between this and an episode of Most Haunted? No really I'm asking, because I don't know the answer. More night vision, people calling out to the dead and interviews with people who claim to have seen ghostly apparitions.

20. Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead (2010)

Not Rated | 97 min | Documentary

45 Metascore

Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead is an American documentary that chronicles Australian Joe Cross's 60-day journey across the United States, where he embarks on a juice-only fast in a quest to reclaim his health.

Directors: Joe Cross, Kurt Engfehr | Stars: Joe Cross, Amy Badberg, Merv Cross, Virginia Cross

Votes: 8,919

3/10 I agree with his message and do support it but a documentary needs to be both educational and entertaining and this is barely the former and not at all the latter.

Director: Kate Townsend | Stars: Louis Theroux, Ann Widdecombe, Michael Ancram, Kenneth Clarke

3/10 Oddly uncomfortable viewing. The tactics used were questionable and I'm sure many wouldn't see them as "Just". I believe in doing whats necessary but even my eyebrows raised a tad.

28. Monster Camp (2007)

Director: Kirby Dick | Stars: Kirby Dick, Kimberly Peirce, Darren Aronofsky, Atom Egoyan

Votes: 28,626 | Gross: $0.30M

4/10 This Film Is Not Yet Rated above everything else is frustrating. Who do these people think they are telling us what is and isn't acceptable? Sadly the documentary though educational doesn't really bring anything new to the table.

32. The Ground Truth (2006)

Director: Werner Herzog | Stars: Werner Herzog, Richard Lopez, Michael Perry, Damon Hall

Votes: 17,354 | Gross: $0.22M

4/10 I don't know what it is about Werner Herzog, but I struggle to like his works. I don't know if it's his lack of focus and making documentaries about the most random of things or his monotonous voice but I couldn't get behind this nor feel sorry for it's targets.

Votes: 989

4/10 Even back then all eyes were on Jimmy Savile, people knew what was going on but turned a blind eye because that man was making them money. This part of the "When Louis Met..." series is one of the best but not for the right reasons, it's uncomfortable viewing.

35. Mansome (2012)

Director: Morgan Spurlock | Stars: Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Morgan Spurlock, Zach Galifianakis

Votes: 2,938 | Gross: $0.02M

Not Rated | 94 min | Documentary

This Is a documentary about life and struggle of people for becoming professional gamers.

Director: Patrick Creadon | Stars: Judy Barbosa, Søren Bjerg, Michal Blicharz, Jarett Cale

Votes: 812

4/10 I'm a gamer, a huge gamer in fact so I should have liked this. How poorly made the whole thing is ruined it for me and turned subject matter I adore into a droning pointless mess.

76 Metascore

Documentary about the pioneering 1970s Zephyr skating team.

Director: Stacy Peralta | Stars: Sean Penn, Jay Adams, Tony Alva, Jeff Ament

Votes: 13,361 | Gross: $1.29M

5/10 I grew up skateboarding, snowboarding and generally being one of the guys focused on here so I could relate. Sadly it's barely entertaining and though I enjoyed the historical background it really came across rather repetitive.

38. They Come to America (2012)

Not Rated | 99 min | Documentary

A documentary that explores the human and financial costs of illegal immigration.

Director: Dennis M. Lynch | Star: Dennis M. Lynch

Votes: 280

5/10 Heavily bias documentary about the cost of immigration into America. Though a lot of facts are presented the underlining reasons for these people coming over the border isn't touched upon. Made by a heartless empathy free individual, the thing should have presented both sides.

A documentary on kids who attend a summer camp hoping to become the next Billy Graham.

Directors: Heidi Ewing, Rachel Grady | Stars: Mike Papantonio, Lou Engle, Becky Fischer, Ted Haggard

Votes: 28,779 | Gross: $0.90M

5/10 Jesus Camp is horrifying and fascinating at the same time. It shows a kind of child abuse that is accepted and across America is in fact encouraged. These poor children, lied to, indoctrinated, filled with love for a fictional being and filled with hate for those who are different. Devastating, hard hitting, and sickening.

60 min | Documentary

Louis Theroux gets under the skin of the plastic surgery patients of Beverly Hills.

Director: Emma Cooper | Stars: Stuart Linder, Louis Theroux

Votes: 1,528

5/10 I love Louis Theroux but this addresses a subject I simply don't understand. Many of the people interviewed I think should genuinely be given mental health screenings! I'm concerned for their well being, their motivations for doing what they do to themselves.

5/10 The most awkward of all of Louis's interviews we see Mr Theroux get up close and personal with the corrupt politician and his wife. Passable stuff, but for the wrong reasons.

44. Taxi to the Dark Side (2007)

R | 106 min | Documentary, Crime, History

82 Metascore

Votes: 16,806 | Gross: $0.27M

5/10 Oscar winning documentary pulling back the veil on the methods used by the US in the middle east during detainment including torture and questionable interrogation. Watchable stuff and certainly hard hitting, but I expected more.

Director: Davis Guggenheim | Stars: Al Gore, Billy West, George Bush, George W. Bush

Votes: 85,220 | Gross: $23.81M

5/10 The sad thing about this infamous documentary is that the majority of people know every single part of it already. We don't need to be told, we're aware but the unwashed masses are a combination of folks who can do nothing......and won't do anything.

46. Shark Week (1987– )
Episode: Zombie Sharks (2014)

TV-14 | Documentary

The premise of the program is that sharks can be brought into a state of tonic immobility by flipping them on their back, and that this characteristic might explain how a supposed series of Great white shark killings occurred.

Director: Brian Armstrong | Stars: John Chisholm, Eli Martinez

Votes: 60

5/10 Oddly titled Shark documentary, interesting enough but repeats itself in a rather offensive manner.

Directors: Torsten Hoffmann, Michael Watchulonis | Stars: John Barrett, Andreas M. Antonopoulos, Jeffrey A. Tucker, Matt Miller

Votes: 1,295

5/10 A fascinating background on the history of Bitcoin. My issue however is that I believe it to be a fad, a dangerous fad with no future. This documentary doesn't address those obvious concerns.

48. Drive-in Madness! (1987)

Not Rated | 82 min | Documentary

A compilation of trailers and previews from classic low-budget sci-fi and horror films.

Director: Tim Ferrante | Stars: James Karen, Bobbie Bresee, Forrest J. Ackerman, Linnea Quigley
