Walter White returns to Albuquerque one last time to secure his family's future and settle old scores.

Director: Vince Gilligan | Stars: Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris

Votes: 139,157

This is, in my opinion, the perfect hour of tv. The perfect ending to a perfect story, written, acted and filmed better than anything else i know!

2. The Midnight Gospel (2020)
Episode: Mouse of Silver (2020)

TV-MA | 36 min | Animation, Adventure, Comedy

Clancy joins his mother on an emotional journey through the wondrous cycle of birth, life and death.

Votes: 2,701

I saw the rating and had heard about an interview with his dying mom, so I was expecting te feels, but I did not expect this to be so gutpunchingly emotional.

Starting lighthearted, with imaculate, obviously unwritten banter between mother and son, transforming more real and touching every minute. With the most intergalactically beautiful visuals, that pull back on some of the crazy action in order to really pack the emotional punch, this episode is a perfect ode to the most important woman in Clancy's, or rather Duncans life. Perfect. 10/10.

3. Rick and Morty (2013– )

Directors: Bryan Newton, Pete Michels | Stars: Justin Roiland, Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, Sarah Chalke

Votes: 15,919

This episode got me to enjoy humor in a whole different way. The ridiculousness of the scenes, it's improvisation and honesty (of the voice actors even cracking up themselves), perfectly combined with a really emotional side story made my emotions switch around so drastically, yet beautifully.

4. Joardy Season (2018–2021)

Comedy

An aspiring author discusses a story he's working on with someone who works at an Indonesian takeaway restaurant.

Director: Jan Hulst | Stars: Gilles Biesheuvel, Jim Deddes, Chiron Holwijn

Votes: 7

Joardy Season's plot revolving around people that happen to be in the vicinity of Harco is genius by itself, but this episode feels like a 7-minute-friendship for life!

5. Wie is de Mol? (1999– )
Episode: Wie is de Mol? (2011)

Game-Show, Reality-TV

In this last episode, all candidates evaluate their participation in 'Wie is de Mol?'.

Director: Tony Yacenda | Stars: Tyler Alvarez, Griffin Gluck, Travis Tope, Melvin Gregg

Votes: 923

This episode absolutely blew me away! On top of being as good of a season-ender as you could hope for, it swerved into a totally new and unexpected direction, with which it out-black-mirrored some very relevant social issues in a way that felt more realistic, probable and touching than I've ever seen done before.

Votes: 4,437

There's nothing quite like seeing a series that you've followed for such a long time, end with a bang that brings the entire thing together in harmonies, which could even bring down Golb!

Votes: 66,910

Each Black Mirror episode feels like a movie, and as a movie, this surprisingly un-dystopian lovestory in a nostalgic simulation would easily be top 15 aswell!

This episode related more to me than anything else I've seen. As a student and musician that would rather escape to interesting adventures than deal with everyday life, this 4th dimenional look into Glancy's world made me feel like the protagonist himself.

Rick and morty has always been full of nods to other shows or movies, but this episode went way beyond all the others. It felt like the best parts of "Up", "Alive", "Groundhog Day" and "The Prestige", while having amazing character development, an amazing message, no message at all and the most toxic 'told ya' imagineable, ALL AT THE SAME TIME! This is about as Rick and Morty as Rick and Morty can get!
