Midcentury Miserable Movies

I’m really not sure how to further categorize or even describe these movies, which include some great films (Rosemary’s Baby, Suddenly Last Summer) and some not so great, but all of these are suffused with dread, horror and a deep sense of hopelessness, possibly the most depressing movies ever made.
