This was a big episode for the fifth season of True Blood. Not only did the two worst plots finally come to a close, but those remaining are finally coming together well. And in classic True Blood fashion there were just as many awesome moments as there were truly cringe worthy ones.
The episode opened and closed with its star plot, that of The Authority’s quick descent from sociopathic vampires pretending to care about equality to sociopathic vampires really not caring about equality and in actuality proactively striving for total supremacy (hence the subtle title). Yes, it looks as though at least three of the five major TruBlood factories, Houston, Texas, Kuwait, and Japan, are all well on their way to becoming piles of rubble, as are everyone’s hopes that Bill is just pretending to be the captain of the “SS Praise Lilith”.

All throughout the convention this year, lines were an issue. I mention this at the top because I missed the first two panels I’d intended to cover on Saturday, Warehouse 13 and Once Upon a Time, due to lengthy lines. It’s hard to get an accurate image of the lines without a helicopter, but here’s a tiny, tiny idea of what it’s like. The wonderful upside to this is that you’re usually neighbored on at least one side by very cool, interesting people who you’d otherwise never meet. Many people opt out of the largest halls/panels, and by extension longest lines, but if you want to see the most popular projects or celebrities, you’re gonna have to park it for at least a couple hours. This year, Twilight, Firefly, and Iron Man 3/The Hobbit were responsible for the longest waits. It...

Los Angeles, California (x17online) - After great starts to both shows, HBO has announced that both The Newsroom and True Blood will be renewed for a new season. "True Blood" is back for Season 5 and Zap2it got a chance to chat with married and expecting stars Steven Moyer and Anna Paquin at the premiere.
We asked about Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Moyer) working together this season. Moyer says, "They've gotten themselves into a pretty dark situation and I think they decide that instead of fighting and being at each others' throats, that they'll get together and actually put their heads together."
We asked about the appeal of the show. "I think people like having favorites," he says. "And I think playing favorites against others, so there are big Joe fans, there are big Sam fans, so everybody has ideas of who they want it to be. So the more you give them, the more the chance there is of pleasing some of the people some of the time. I think Alan's [Ball] very clever. It's a funny,...

New 'Priest' movie delivered great action, drama & special effects. Screen Gems (Sony) released their new action/thriller flick "Priest" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was very good. It delivered a lot of intense fighting and action scenes, along with some pretty cool special effects. The movie stars: Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif, and Christopher Plummer. In the flick, a race of vampires who were thought to be long extinct after the priests destroyed them, show back up on the scene to kill off a small family in the wastelands. However, they decided to steal the daughter Lucy (Lily Collins) on purpose for a much greater plan.

With Paul Bettany currently kicking ass and taking names in Priest in cinemas nationwide, we thought we'd celebrate by sharing this brand new infographic with you! Titled the "Genre Movie Guide", it breaks down a choice selection of various genre films into their various categories. Naturally some cover more than one.
They're all there, 'Blade Runner', 'Inception', 'Psycho' and 'Taken' to name some of my favourites, and each one is allocated the genres (or sub-genres) that it falls into. Simples.
Naturally, the brains behind Priest believe that the film transcends all genres, so guess which film ticks the most boxes? You've guessed it.
It's a pretty neat graphic and despite maybe a little bias, it's great for reference, check it out below:

Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. Yahoo have just released the second full-length theatrical trailer for Paul Bettany’s new movie Priest. This movie reunites him with the director of Legion, Scott Charles Stewart but let’s hope this movie is better than that was. Priest stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigndet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif, and Christopher Plummer and is directed by Scott Stewart. Stewart and Bettany previously worked on Legion together and we’re all hoping that this movie is a vast improvement on that! Second in my slew of new videos for this Monday morning is a new teaser for Priest. Once again debuting at this year’s Super Bowl, the trailer doesn’t have much in the way of new footage but it does build a bit more momentum for the film, which it feels we’ve been waiting a lifetime to watch.
The film stars Paul Bettany as the titular character, living in a dystopian world in which a war between humans and vampires has pretty much shot everything to shit. Starring alongside Bettany are Karl Urban, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif and Christopher Plummer. Check out the new teaser below:

Sony have sent us a couple of new images for Priest to coincide with the new trailer that came out yesterday. Unfortunately from one of these images, it looks like it could be more of the same but I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

It’s been just eleven days since we debuted the first trailer for apocalyptic actioner, Priest, starring Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif and Christopher Plummer and yet here we are, a new International Trailer containing previously unseen footage!
The film itself looks pretty interesting, I’m kinda digging Paul Bettany as an action hero at the moment and I’m one of the few folk I know who enjoyed Legion. My only worry is this 3D conversion that the film is currently undergoing. As anyone who’s sat through Clash of the Titans or The Last Airbender will attest to, 3D conversion sucks balls. If the film isn’t shot in 3D then don’t convert it to 3D, the quality is nowhere near as good and if anything it can spoil an otherwise visually pleasing film.
That aside, this does look pretty good,...

Crackle (a website I’ve not come across before) has posted this brand new trailer for Priest. Priest stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigndet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Lily Collins, Steven Moyer, Brad Dourif, and Christopher Plummer and is directed by Scott Stewart. Stewart is the same chap who helmed Legion so I’m guessing that he and Bettany got on pretty well.

Jimmy Fallon provided lots of laughs and tunes at tonight's Primetime Emmy Awards while TV stars graced the stage in gorgeous gowns with great-looking guys. Between the fun star-studded opening (yes that was Kate Gosselin getting dissed) and Jimmy's farewell to 24, Lost and Law and Order, he kept the show rolling as we eagerly awaited George Clooney's humanitarian moment. Big winners of the evening including Modern Family, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad. It was date night for January Jones, who sat in the front row with Jason Sudeikis, Anna Paquin, who held on tight to her husband Steven Moyer, while presenting with Alexander Skarsgard, as well as for George Clooney who had Elisabetta Canalis by his side backstage. Costars Tina Fey and Steve Carell bonded even though neither of their shows was recognized this year. Betty White continues to be everywhere and after a hilarious dance opening with Jon Hamm,...
